U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

WORST customer service Ive ever had in my life. I was just called by the owner NAN who possess not an OUNCE of customer service skills. After spending 3+ hours on the phone yesterday due to my 26 FT truck reservation that was make 1.5 WEEKS prior no longer being available and being told 36 hrs before moving, the only option was renting two 15 trucks instead. This was arranged by U_Haul corporate and I received my reservation confirmations for pick up today at 11:30am.I had to take an unscheduled partial day off today in order to be able to move due to these changes and so when I received this phone call from this women who basically just told me that I was not getting the addl truck and that I was only moving between cities 30 miles each way and I could make multiple trips, I was infuriated. She didnt try and apologize for the inconvenience, I explained what had transpired yesterday and spending 3 hrs on the phone, having to take an unscheduled half day off. etc and she basically said she didnt give a care and that I was SOL. I told her she had terrible customer service and imagine if she was the customer and I was treating her this way and she said she was the owner of the company, has been doing this 18 years and doesnt care about my sob story. She said its not her problem that she is irritated to find out this morning that she has been overbooked and Ill have to deal with it. She then preceded to tell me that she isnt even open until 9am (an hour and a half away) and hung up on me.The days of treating customers fairly seems to not be important. They are absolutely worthless, the worst business entity I have ever dealt with and by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Its no wonder they get a 1/10 through the ConsumerAffairs website and horrible ratings through every other ratings agency/website out there. They dont care about their customers and your reservation confirmations are WORTHLESS.Extremely poor customer service. They have lost my business and anyone else that I would have recommended. U-Haul needs a crash course in customer service and the owner at this location needs a lesson on EMPATHY.

Mike Perry - Heritage REI

We reached out to Mike as the listing agent on a home we were interested in. We were not planning to move or sell our house. When we decided to move forward on the home, we instantly clicked with Mike. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the selling and buying process. We asked if he could represent us as a seller as well. Knowing nothing about the process, Mike held our hand through everything. I am a very impatient person and he updated us so frequently throughout the process I never had to follow up.We were told you never want to have the same person represent you as the buying and selling agent because you don't know if they have your best interest in mind. While working with Mike on both transactions, we have the upmost confidence he was acting with the highest level of integrity on both sides. As the buying agent, he ensured everything was appropriately disclosed and coordinated all inspections in a very short period of time. He made an incredible recommendation to our mortgage broker that worked fast to ensure everything was lined up in time for closing. As our selling agent, he came over to our house and made some minor recommendations for changes before we put it in the market. Those recommendations made all the difference. He also hired an amazing photographer that made our house show beautifully in the listing. Mike then coordinated a showing every 15 minutes from 9am – 6pm over the weekend which resulted in 29 offers, many substantially over our asking price. We finalized the sale of our house with an all cash offer, no contingencies, and an 8-day close of escrow. We started this process not knowing what to expect, putting in a contingent offer and still closed on our new home within 30 days. Let me repeat that: we had no plans to sell our current home, and he sold it and closed it so quickly with no work required on our part and we got the keys to the new house within 30 days of our original offer.I cannot recommend Mike and his team enough. He is a top real estate broker who will educate you throughout the process and set reasonable expectations. He made a transaction that is normally considered one of the most stressful things you can do feel like a walk in the park. He is very tuned into the market throughout the bay area and beyond. If you are looking to buy or sell, Mike is the man for the job.
Richard Pagano - State Farm Insurance Agent
2317 Buchanan Rd B, Antioch, CA 94509, United States
Ive had State farm for almost 20 years. I just assumed it was normal to never get to talk to your agent, only some other person in the office. The only time I actually spoke to my agent was when he called me to try and sell me life insurance. After multiple errors and frustration I was ready to leave state farm, but first I decided to look into just getting a new agent, a quick Google search in my area and I found Richard with all his 5 star reviews so I gave him a call. So THIS is the good neighbor the state farm jingle is talking about, LoL, I didnt know how a insurance agent should be until I started working with Richard. Whos this guys boss? Someone needs to let them know he single handedly kept me from leaving state farm, as well as others from what Ive read on these reviews.

Three young gentlemen ( Luis, Ali, Jose) arrived early Tuesday morning to help us load our moving truck (Upack/ABF). I was very pleased that they arrived early in the morning as I was concerned about getting it all done that day. I expressed my concern and it was met with assurances that it will get done and it will all fit. I was pleased to hear this confidence in them and it did make me feel more comfortable. I tried to do my part to make it easier by having most of the items pre wrapped and boxed. The guys were quick to begin the work and were very efficient. They quickly got to work loading up piles of boxes and furniture. Before long, the house seemed nearly empty. They were very carful with our furniture and worked well as a team. The Job was completed in 3 hrs and 15 min! Luis, Ali and Jose provided me with excellent work, professionalism and it was definitely money well spent. This is my first time ever getting professional help and I would do it again with this company. I would recommend this crew of guys. I would hire then too to off load the trailer, but that's several states away. I do wish I had made the time to buy you guys lunch..
Antioch Speedway
1201 W 10th St, Antioch, CA 94509, United States
Awesome dirt race track action right in your backyard of Antioch, its a great place to be on Saturday night!! Fun for all in the family. I have been here 30+ times over the years to watch various racing from World of Outlaws, 360 sprints, modified, late models, and more even saw boat trailer racing!!!! Once for World of Outlaws several years ago they went 30 laps straight no cautions here, it was EPIC!!!! During the Contra Costa County fair they have some sort of racing going on too. They have typical snack shack type foods from 2 stands, I always get a chicken strips with fries combo and a nachos, but they also have corn dogs, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, popcorn, sodas, candy, nothing over $6-7. Beers are like $8-9, Sierra Nevada and Corona, plus I think Bud. Good amounts of seating in main grand stands plus some side bleachers closer to the action in turns that sometimes get some mud splatters flying for added fun. They have a gift shop with tshirts and programs with RACEO (bingo) for prizes. Come down and check out the local dirt track racing fun, normally starts about 6:30 PM saturday nights in the summer into october.
CubeSmart Self Storage
1790 Vineyard Dr, Antioch, CA 94509, United States
The video shows their 10x8 inside storage unit that's located on the 2nd floor in a climate controlled facility. Getting a storage unit here was super easy. I didn't even have to leave my bed. I did everything on my phone. The longest part of the process was deciding which size unit I needed. However, when I found out they had a sizing guide right there on their website I was able to almost immediately choose the correct size unit for me. After choosing the size I was able to complete the entire rental process in less than five minutes. I received an email with everything I needed to get into my new unit. The email included my gate and temporary lock code, my unit number, all rental forms and contracts, and a very detailed description of what I needed to do next. My new lock was waiting for me inside my unit with informational pamphlets that answered any and all questions that I had. I'm positive they'll answer any and all questions you might still have. I did all of this using my phone. I didn't have to wait in line, go into the office, wait until someone was available, nothing like that. I was able to rent the unit on my time and not waste my time jumping through unnecessary hoops. The storage facility and units are very clean. The employees here do an amazing job keeping the units in amazing shape. The only thing that I have an issue with is that they're only open until 7pm. Their hours are 7am-7pm everyday. I'm at work during those hours and can't make it before 7pm. If they'd stay open until at least 9pm then I'd have no issues and I bet they'd get a lot more customers. If you don't mind the hours that they're open then you'll love this location.****update****I had sent in an email asking for help with something regarding my insurance. I got an immediate response and everything was handled before the end of that day. Also, when I had visited my storage I was approached by an employee who confirmed everything just to make sure I was the one emailing them with the request. Also, the employee had remembered my name and who I was even though this was only my second time at the storage. That's how much they care about their customers. They make sure to provide a professional, easy, and no hassle experience.
Comfort Inn
2436 Mahogany Way, Antioch, CA 94509, United States
***** 3/27/2024 - Review of my second stay.My second stay was just as good as my first stay.Only thing I noticed is while I was sitting in the cafeteria area is this…Apparently, half of the people staying here are using the morning breakfast to sustain their whole day of eating.I watched one couple who had their grandkids with them. The grandson was a twin to the departed John Candy and that well fed boy had three man sized servings of bacon and ate six sausages in one sitting. This doesn't include the other food that he wolfed down. Some other guy tied up the counter space and the waffle maker for over fifteen minutes, while he stashed three or four bananas, made enough waffles to feed angels stadium, took half of the bread section, made off with enough eggs to feed a full greyhound bus. Stashed a few bottles of apple juice and played rap music at full blast while doing all of this. Really? Some other guy walked out with two plates of food and then came back to make more helpings. I get it if you have people in your room but later I noticed he checked out early on his own. He was well stocked for the day.I also noticed that there are some permanent residents and a few non customers who had depleted some areas of food. That poor lady, who has to restock food and supplies could barely keep up. Some other people had so much coffee that they actually ran out. What happened to common sense and decency for others whom haven't had breakfast yet. Breakfast is still going as I type and it is quite amazing sitting back and watching the situation.***** 2/14/2024 Review of my first stay.Kazi and his team were nice. The check-in was as smooth and simple as it should be.My room was clean, and I didnt SEE any critters, DNA stains, debris, or anything to complain about. The TV didnt work, and they sent a nice gentleman out to provide the correct remote. He didnt bother checking all of the remote functions beyond the remote switching the TV on, off, and providing volume control, but it didnt do anything else. Couldnt operate the Guide, change channels, or open the units menu. I was already undressed and tired, so I just let it go. I was going to watch some YouTube stuff anyways so I really didnt need the TV.I wont be eating breakfast here, so I wont have an opinion on that. Maybe someone else may write up an accurate review on breakfast.Other than that, things are pretty good. Im not a fan of climbing stairs these days, so if your joints give you trouble... youve been warned.I think the prices may be a little steep for the area and offerings, but you have to pay to play. Overall, its not bad, and I can not confirm or deny if the negative reviews are accurate. Ill just say that Room 130 passed the test.
