I rented a Premium SUV (i.e. Suburban) through Labor Day weekend, so that I would have 8 seats & with an extended cab, to properly host our extended family who flew into the Los Angeles area, for a visit.Knowing we were approaching a holiday weekend, I called the morning of my rental (Friday), to confirm that they would have the vehicle ready for me. I sat on hold for 15 minutes listening to a repetitive beep, beep (a little on-hold music would have surely produced less anxiety), until a representative let me know that they did not have any Premium SUVs available, but that they could rent me an 8 passenger Nissan Armada, while they waited for their Suburbans to be returned, from a local college event. The Armada would meet our immediate need, for 8 seats, and we could hopefully swap for one of the returned Suburbans, before Tuesday, when we would need the extended cargo space. When I visited the Thousand Oaks Enterprise office, to pick up the Armada, they were understaffed, with a long line, in the waiting room. To their credit, the staff was very professional & apologetic for the wait, once they did get to me. They seemed puzzled by the online booking system that had continued to rent vehicles that they didnt have available, on their lot & even apoligized for the beep, beep on hold. They assured me that they would let me know as soon as one of the Suburbans were returned, so that I could come back and make the swap.On Saturday morning, I sat on hold for another 15-20 minutes (listening to the beep, beep) until one of their employees eventually confirmed that none of the Premium SUVs had been returned, but they should have one by Tuesday morning...as they would be closed from 1pm Saturday though Monday, for the holiday.Tuesday was the final day of my rental and our last day-trip together, as a family (on this day we needed more than just 8 seats...we actually needed the extended cab), so when I called the office that morning, it was with high hopes that the Luxury SUV I had rented (with a confirmation e-mail in hand) would finally be available to me. After spending another 15-20 minutes on hold (with the beep, beep) without a response and running up against our time frame for departure, I decided to pack up our 2 personal vehicles & return the rental early, so that we could proceed with our plans, for the day. As we dropped off the Armada on our way out, I was frustrated to see one freshly-washed and ready-to-rent Suburban sitting in the lineup on the lot. The attendant was kind enough to offer me the Suburban, but at this point, it was time for us to hit the road & too late for the swap. Thankfully, the associate gave me a sizeable discount for our trouble.I understand that it was a busy weekend & that the team at the Thousand Oaks location may have done the best they could, while being desperately understaffed. This being said, I have 2 issues Id like Enterprise to address:1) PLEASE fix your on-hold messaging beep, beep that I spent nearly an hour of my life listening to!2) Properly staff your locations for holiday weekends, so that you can stay on top of your inventory, answer your phones in a timeline manner, and serve your waiting room in a more expeditious manner. The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than 1 star, is due to the professionalism and kindness of the understaffed employees who did help me, as best they could, and who were apologetic and offered a reasonable discount.

Very disappointing experience.I am only giving it one star because there isnt a No star or Negative five star option...I believe it should be fraud to not disclose exact pricing.I called them and reserved a box truck to move a refrigerator. They quoted me $29.95when I arrived to pick up the truck they wanted to charge me $62.00 ...???It should be assumed that if i intend to rent a vehicle, that i intend to drive it....I believe that to not disclose INTENT to charge for EVERY mile is misleading. why would I rent a vehicle if I didnt intend to drive it?Patron - Hey thats a really nice truck, is it for rent?U-HAUL - Why, yes it is...P - Fantastic! how much does it rent for?U - $50P - $50??? any chance you could go lower? $50 is all I have, and... I only need it for an hour.U - no. sorry it is $50 to rent this truck!P - okay. I live ten miles away, so Ill see you in twenty minutes.U - no problem.twenty minutes later....P - hi, I am here to rent your truck for $50.U - Great. that will be $100P - $100??? but you said it was $50 to rent your truck........U-HAUL - oh... it is $50 to rent this truck, but it is another $50 if you want to drive it!!!Patron - hmmmmmm..... :( but you said... and I told you I only had...It was literally twice as expensive to rent (and drive) the truck in question than the price that was advertised, and quoted over the phone by U-HAUL ...And, expressing this to the person behind the counter only encouraged a whatever kind of wry smile...beyond frustrated...

Max at Thousand Oaks location makes you feel like youre interrupting him whenever you talk to him. Other than that all other aspects went smoothly and well.

After received no renewal notice from my long time insurance provider late last year, I was in a scramble mode to find an underwriter for my home policy. Like many people in California, it's very tough to get home insurances after being dropped out by big companies. John was referred to us by a friend in the right time. As a great independent agent, John has great understanding of the situation. He patiently walked us through the process and potential options facing us in short term. John was very responsive to our questions and provided many iterations of quotes for our needs. In few weeks, we decided with the CalFair plan with a DIC wrap around policy with optimal coverage for us. The transition has been very smooth. He committed to shop around for alternative options after cal insurance maker stabilized in the future. We really appreciate his efforts during the difficult time and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for new home or auto policies.

My experience started a few days before, I arrived to Silver Star Cadillac. My 2022 Cadillac Escalade was totaled one month after purchase, I just received the notice, the Friday before Labor Day, I could purchase another vehicle.Silver Star Cadillac, had me in a 2023 Cadillac Escalade, on September 9, 2022, two days after my phone call.I tried other dealerships but they did not have the vehicle after I arrived to their location or someone else had placed a down payment on the vehicle, I was told they had available.I started searching again September 7, 2022 and my Wife and I, found the vehicle we where looking for, at Silver Star Cadillac.I sent a few online messages and then ended up on the phone with Lila. Lila answer all my question, sent me information on the vehicle and my Wife an I was very happy, to find someone that could provide the same information, we where looking at on the website.I drove over 2 1/2 hours to the dealership and I was very pleased when I drove on the property. The dealership looked very nice and well kept, I was treated with respected soon as I walked in the door and I did not let them know, I was on the lot. (I have talked to and visited many dealerships since July 2022, I never got treated, this nice.)Lila is very knowledgeable about the vehicles, updated on the chip situations, and very helpful, to make the purchase process go smoothly. (I drove a renter vehicle to the dealership, I did not know if I could drop off the vehicle at this location rental office.Lila checked with the local rental company, while I was in the finance office and everything was arranged for me to drop off the vehicle. Dropping off the rental was just as important as buying the new vehicle to me.Lila, is a very outstanding Salesperson!Justin in finance, what can I say. I have never enjoyed spending a large amount of money before.I had a chip on my shoulders, from the way I was treated at other dealerships and my guard was up.Justin explained everything, line by line, Justin even gave me the biggest education classes on, purchasing a vehicle, when to try for a lower refinance, how to make your money stretch.Justin best information he provide, was how to read my old contract. Once I got home, I looked over my contract and I found over $9,000 in add ons, I did not know was add ons, I was told, it was part of the Dealers Mark Up. Since me old vehicle was totaled, I can get most of this monies back.I could go on and on about how great my experience was at Silver Star Cadillac, my Family and I would like to Thank you all, for having an outstanding place to shop and great people to help you find the right vehicle.
Hertz Car Rental - Thousand Oaks - Thousand Oak...
2720 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362, United States
A disaster!First experience (or quasi experience)After booking the car I walked to the Hertz location only to discover that my car was in the middle of the lot with many cars blocking it. I called customer service and the only thing they could do was to cancel my reservation (luckily I didnt have to go anywhere but was just trying the service...). That should have probably been enough to convince me to walk away from this business but unfortunately I decided to give it another try...Second experienceThis time I receive an email stating that I have $25 driving credit with Hert 24/7. I think it can be a good occasion to try it again. I book on Sunday afternoon go to the location with a bit of apprehension of finding my car blocked but this time it is good to go! I drive around, run a quick errand and bring it back in 50 minutes. So far so good. Unfortunately after five days a customer service rep leaves me a message saying that I should extend my reservation when I keep the car for so long....Panicking I call Hertz 24/7 back and a customer representative tells me that I didnt push the button to end the reservation but that I dont have to worry and I will be charged only for the time booked. Unfortunately I then see a pending charge of $40 (it would be $65 but I have the famous $25 driving credit). I call them back and another rep basically tells me the only reason I am not charged $1440 which is what is owned after five days at the hourly rate, is that they are gracious because it is my first rental. So I am charged for the day until midnight instead of one hour. Some questions for Hertz 24/7:1) How about communicating CLEARLY to push the button at the end of the reservation?2) Why do we need to push the button anyhow since the car has GPS and Hertz 24/7 knows when it is back in the lot?3) How about, if there is a returning problem on a $14 reservation calling the customer after a few hours rather than after a few days when the bill is $1440?There will be no third experience for me but if you try them remember to push the button!
