Avis Car Rental
340 S Burke St, Visalia, CA 93292, United States
Not sure what is up with these Avis rentals this year. They are full of disgruntled employees.Im a 63 man who travels for a living. My company only rents through Avis. I can only ride comfortably certain name brand cars. For some reason Avis employees (especially the ones at Fresno airport) act as if giving out a specific brand car that is within my companys contract is a mortal sin. The worst offenders are the mom and pap franchised Avis.I started in Vallejo CA Avis. The guy is nice, his stock of vehicles alaays sucks. He only had a Chevy Cruz. I cant do that. So he has a Nissan Sentra that isnt cleaned yet. The car stinks. I agree to take it temporary. (Avis always boast about exchanges for any reason.)I go to Fairfield CA Avis to exchange it. The woman tells me So now youre going to leave us with a stinky car! Yes… .yes I am. Sorry get better stock I guess? I ask for a Toyota (the only car I can fit in). She says no. Thats it. No explination. Just no fool. Gives me another Nissan Sentra. Mind you she had like 3 Toyota Corollas chillin in her FULL lot of same price as the Sentra.I uncomfortably drive to Fresno CA 4 hours away. The people at this Avis act as if they will be beheaded if they exchange the car. The woman acted upset by my request and refused to exchange the car for a Toyota. At keast her excuse was that they were booked up on reservations. Mind you this is an airport site with a lot filled with 50 or more cars. They woukdnt exchange my car for any of them. Even though my coworkers are showing up in Tacomas and Mustanges. I just want a simple Corolla, Prius, Ford, Honda Flex focus. Something that is not Chevy or Nissan. So now im stuck in this Nissan Sentra for 2 weeks and my knees hurt if im in it for more than 10 minutes because Avis staff cant spend some time just giving me a car exchange within the same price range my company agreed on.Mind you Sandiego is AMAZING. Hawaii Avis is AMAZING. Fresno, not so much. This is my second time dealing with Fresno and being unhappy.

Budget Car Rental
340 S Burke St, Visalia, CA 93292, United States
Taking trip abroad and needed to rent one-way cars to and from Visalia to LAX. First car I picked up the AC did not work and was dirty. Second car I picked up I left the lot and within 5 miles the low-pressure tire warning came on. I also realized by that time the window was cracked. I raced back and the store was closed exactly at 5:00 PM. I called Budget Roadside Assistance in the morning and they told me to air up the tire (BTW there was no spare and the air pump was missing) and get to Bakersfield where a replacement would be waiting. Also had to completely clean the car myself because the windows were filthy, there was spilled coffee inside and it just needed to be cleaned. We pulled into Bakersfield and the attendant told us the did not have any vans nor were called by roadside assistance. Because we had to catch a flight, we had to risk it. We did make it into LAX and the tire held, but the stress and risk simply should have been attended to by Budget. Our rental car back from LAX was again filthy and the brakes were literally grinding and making horrible noises. When I turned it in to Visalia, I explained everything that happened to and from and all the person did was chuckle and say sorry. Just a warning to anyone that rents from Budget, and specifically the Visalia location, the vehicles are not well maintained and you are at risk. If you have an issue out on the road, buyer beware, that the roadside assistance is ridiculous. If you are taking a family trip like I was, dont trust budget with your family, go with one of the other competitors, even if it costs a little more, your family and the potential for less stress is well worth it.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
1040 E Main St, Visalia, CA 93292, United States
This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a car.The problem was not so much with Enterprise, I loved the company, but with the Enterprise branch on 1040 E Main St Visalia, CA. I may never rent from them again. My problem was with their Debit-Card policy and how they treated me with such distrust and disdain. They told me I needed to prove I could pay for the car before they would let me rent it using my Debit Card. Even though I wanted to (and eventually did) pay for the full coverage insurance (doubling the cost of the rental) they still made me go home (40 mile round trip) to get a mortgage statement and pay stub. The manager actually said, in case you keep the car for longer, we need to know you can pay for the extra days. I could have thrown the car into a ditch and their costs would be covered because I paid for the full coverage insurance. He just did not want to rent to me.When I returned with both of those documents, they rejected me again because the mortgage statement had the mailing address for my accountant (my son), not my home. However, my home address was on the statement -- they still made me go home again to get a doctor bill. Why I had to show them my medical record I will never know.I started this process at 8:00 AM on September 30, 2016 and did not get the car until 1:00 PM. I actually missed my daughters wedding rehearsal because of this. She was very disappointed.I think they took one look at me, a 75 year old Hispanic farm worker with old cloths and scraggly hair, and decided that I was not capable of fulfilling my side of this bargain. This was the worst experience of costumer serve I have ever had. I feel it border on injustice.Translated by family member.

Reservation means nothing in Enterprise Rent A Car Organization. The branch employee call you a few hours prior to pick up or when you get to the branch to pick up the car that they have no car for you and we are SORRY.Apparently enterprise rent a car knows that their web side reservation has no idea if the branch has the car or not they just simply do the reservation on the customers expense.Shame on enterprise rent a car for wasting peoples time and ruining their plans. They always thank me for being loyal customer but no loyalty from enterprise rent a car .They never see my face again even if I have to walk.

Great service. You know they appreciate your buiesnes. I will definitely use their service not only for 4x4 but all their trucks I may need. They are only brand that rents trucks with lift gates. So you dont have to try to pick up heavy items to load or unload. Also dont have to try to push the load up small ramps.Call them tell them what u need they will be glad to help you figure out the best truck for your need.D.W

U-Haul at Mineral King
1930 E Mineral King Ave, Visalia, CA 93292, United States
I had to run down to Oceanside on a rescue mission, to pick up my son, and move him back to Visalia. I made a reservation via their 800 number. They sent me (on foot) to a location which had been closed for business for six months. Oopsies and apologies later, I was directed to the correct location. I was on foot, by the way, because my other son was at the hospital with his girlfriend, who was having life threatening complications in her pregnancy. I made it clear to the operator who took my reservations that I would be paying in cash. When I (finally) got to the U-Haul location, they told me to rent the van I wanted, I would need to pay with my card. When I asked them to explain the discrepancy, I was given some double talk about them not actually owning the vans yet. The bank technically still owned them, and so they had some contract thing where they couldnt rent them out without a card. And so I had to walk across town to put the money I had taken out of my bank back into it, and then walk back across town to U-Haul. Lots of apologies, but in the end I was supposed to have been on the road at 8:00-a.m., but didnt pull out of U-Haul until just before Noon. Their idea of making nice nice after the fact was to take twenty bucks off the rental price. Seriously!? Apologies for ruining your day, and leaving your son waiting on the side of a road, alone, at night...oh, and nearly getting you fired for not showing up at work that night (three day suspension)...heres twenty bucks to make it all better! If youre looking for snap and pop professionalism, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Express Car Rental
703 E Main St, Visalia, CA 93292, United States
NeverPay Cash! I was recommended to seek insurance from Express Car Rentals. He recommended Dairy Auto Land, and Freeway brokerage accomodatted. I purchashed what I was told I needed, a non-owners policy. When I rented a vehicle from Andy he called and verified I had full coverage. This Insurances affiliates validated vocally, on speaker, that I had full coverage to rent from Express Rentals Visalia- Andy truly verified this, as I gave the insurance company permissio into speak with him. I was scammed into purchasing this insurance. Luckily, I only had a blow out. South of Bardsley I rode out the car until it stopped (see pic). I was waiting on the 99 Highway after calling Tow One, who began to remove tire but when payment was questioned. He unjacked (lowered) the vehicle a safety wasnt on his mind, he didnt want to get in trouble from his boss! He called and negotiated a price with Andy (Express Rental Agent), without my knowledge. Eventually45 minutes later, as payment was more important than safety a decision was made. Not my decision, the payment decision. For a full hour I was terrified as diesels and cars zipped by at fast speeds. Then the man, from Tow One, in a solar tint pickup; asked me to help him, and I did. Even with a broken sandle on my left foot. Freeway told me I didnt have full coverage or road side assistance. I was dumbfounded as I followed protocol any other insurance company would want. Well after the spare was on, I realized it looked awfully low. Tow one solar truck zipped off! I noticed the spare was little, but looked like it needed air badly. Thankfully the next ramp I pulled up to, had an adjacent gas station. I added 40 PSI to make it 60 PS (spare tire stated, needed PSI.After all this no one called to see if the car or me were ok. I went to return the vehicle that night, Andy was locked and closed. Summary: Freeway Insurance lied to Express Rentals- Yet juxtaposed they both lied too me. I returned the vehicle two days early. Lost full deposit, and only reason they both win is because I was low on funds and had no protection of a bank. Everything was in cash. Thank Jesus I handled the blowout the way I have read in the past and no one other than me were hurt or highly inconvenienced.LEARNED: So, Freeway Insurance (Broker for Dairy Autoland) lied to Express Rentals-who would, never rent out a vehicle without verifying full coverage! Andy didnt - it was vocalized on speaker it fast covered to drive. I was scammed for cash and guess how much it cost to have a man put on a spare, with assistance? 300.00 Dollars. OH-HE gave a 50.00 dollar discount (see added pic). I love how Freeway Insurance states to me it was Express Auto Rentals lie, he then blames the Auto One Tow man in the solar tint truck to save me off a busy highway. At the end when I open the glovebox I find an interesting bumper sticker (see pic). Oh, I was also told I should of called Andy the employee to use his AAA. Before renting he stated the tire sensor light was on but everything was ok and had been checked out. Also, I was never told to call him in case of a blowout (isnt this why we want insurance)! For five days I paid 591.00 to be scammed. When I learned there was no full coverage by the man who verified it with Freeway (Dairy Autoland); Who would want that liability? Looks like this Freeway Insurance has bad rap. I should of never gave cash to an agent, when another customer is yelling they cancelled his policy after paying while I was in the office. Yes these are unprecedented times. How much more can a business take from ya? How many more profited off a lie Freeway Sold? Oh Tow One took 50 bucks off (see pic).He truly was going to leave me there. This was highly dangerous, and I believe anytime during rush hour; a vehicle and driver should be towed. Not put to work, and jacked up in such conditions. Nice guys finish last, and although I would not say Andy is rude. You just dont put people in bad cars! Andy, has some accountability here, tire sensor light.-Dairy is investigating.

Catalina Valle – An indispensable example of loyaltyFirst and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity in saying thank you for the making my maintenance request a seamless process. It was bound to happen and after 2-years of trying to be as safe as possible in contracting COVID-19, it finally caught up with me and took me down pretty hard. As a retired disabled Veteran, it was difficult to admit I needed help on the home front. When I reached out to her after my refrigerator took a dump during this heatwave, theorganizational skills demonstrated and outstanding work ethic has distinguished you as a professional representative, highly capable of performing a multitude of duties along with attention to detail, ensured your customer care a priority. As Murphy's Law would have it, during quarantine, my mother was admitted into the hospital due to preexisting health issues, leaving me with a sense of helplessness and leaving me with no choice but to work the phones by setting up a home base of operations in coordinating and meeting her medical needs in developing a get-well plan into a long-term care facility.Realizing it or not, you're an indispensable example of loyalty to your clients and the company in which you work for. The unlimited and energetic pursuit of selfless-service, the sense of duty that inspires your colleagues to take on greater challenges must be recognized.Your judgment of the highest values and your attitude of never to be given up to a lesser standard no matter how long or hard was noticed and appreciated on several occasions. Often times I found myself reflecting on the tenacity you have in completing all of your assigned taskings and never leaving anything left open to chance.Thank you for being extremely reliable with above average written and verbal communication skills. Communication is the ingredient of maintaining 100% effectiveness between your clients to get every task accomplished and you are truly excellent at what you do, your customer care should be inspiring and a great example to the other representatives within The Equity Group Company. The Loyalty you possess bears true faith and allegiance to the company and your Duty, fulfills your obligations to the fullest. I felt well taken care of and in today's day and age, this is very much appreciated on the receiving end.I realize we're talking about a work order request for an inoperable refrigerator however, given the butterfly effect in what all transpired on the home front, I felt the need to elaborate on the situation.Again, thank you for making me a priority and meeting my needs.
