Onstads Insurance Agency

After I wrote the review below I will give Greg Onstad credit for reaching out to me and making an effort to explain changes that have occured in the insurance industry and assuring me that he will look into the disrespectful interation that transpired during my call with one of his employees. We have used Onstads Insurance for the past 15 years for multiple properties. In the past they had reasonable service when Greg himself worked with us. In 2020 I purchased a renters policy for my sons college apartment and Greg passed us on to one of his employees. Since that time each year we are told that they can not provide a declaration with the verbage the that apartments require of Interested Party. One individual claims to have worked in insurance for 30 years and said the insurance companies have never done that and will not do it. This can not be true since we have the declarations from the past two years with the apartments listed as interested parties including their corporate office address. Onstads Insurance has made this so difficult this year that we are cancelling our policy and moving on.I hope that you can get your customer service under control and employees return calls more promptly.
A.J. Franco at Comparion Insurance Agency
2603 Camino Ramon Ste 210, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
AJ Franco has been our insurance agent for about 10 years. AJ Franco has always taken good care of our family with all the needs of a growing family of 3 kids and dogs. He has always stayed in touch with us to make sure our coverage is always complete and meets the needs of our family. We have 3 kids and we have had to put them on and then off of our car insurance as they turn 16 and then grow and get their own insurance. AJ gives us quality information so we make the best decisions on buying a car and the practicality of car insurance for 16 year olds. We are on our last kid getting his license and I reached out to him and he immediately got back to me with quotes. It is just sets my mind at ease that AJ cares about our family and treats us with the utmost respect. If I ever have a question for him regarding any of the multitude of insurances we have (home, car, earthquake, pet, and umbrella) he gives an immediate response to helps ease my mind. If he is not available he sends me directly to where I can get answers.AJ is truly a wonderful, respectful, amazing insurance agent. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for security in the many types of insurances that you might need in your life. We are sticking with AJ as long as he is part of Liberty Mutual Insurance. Honestly we would follow him wherever he was an agent, that is how much I truly trust him.
Jeffrey McDonald at Comparion Insurance Agency
2603 Camino Ramon Ste 210, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
Like most homeowners, shopping around for a policy can add an extra layer of stress to an already overwhelming homebuying process, especially if youre a first-time homebuyer in the Bay Area. After doing my fair share of research and speaking to nearly a dozen different companies and agents, Jeff was the clear choice. As consumers, we want to find the best possible policy that covers all the major concerns, and comes at an affordable price. Jeff was able to check all those boxes for me and my fiancé, and even found discounts for me that I didnt know I qualified for.He was incredibly responsive and would follow-up with me quicker than any of the other agents I spoke with. That goes a long way and adds peace of mind for first-time home buyers.Bonus points to Jeff for being familiar with the city and neighborhood that were moving into and for the recommendations.Would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks again, Jeff!
Claudette Rodrigues at Comparion Insurance Agency
2603 Camino Ramon Ste 210, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
I was fortunate to meet Claudette Rodrigues through the real estate industry several years ago. I had her evaluate my insurance policies, and she was able to secure better and more reasonable options for my husband and I. After seeing what an outstanding job she did for us, I didnt hesitate to start referring her to my clients that need assistance with insurance policies. Claudette has done an excellent job for everyone Ive referred to her and I highly recommend her for all your insurance needs.
Farmers Insurance - Gail Mirchandani
3150 Crow Canyon Pl Ste 100, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
When we bought our house in 2014, we switched from USAA to Farmers with Gail Mirchandanis San Ramon agency. Gail offered us a very competitive rate based on a total package with our cars as well. Her offices service has been great over that time, very customer-focused.I didnt realize how customer-focused until this January 2018. We had coverage for our daughter until September 2017, but elected to suspend her coverage when she went off to college. Due to a Microsoft email snafu, we missed putting my daughter back on coverage over winter break when she was home. She had a car accident. Despite that legally we had no insurance claim, Gail went out of her way to make sure that Farmers corporate covered the claim since it was obvious that our intent was to cover our daughter during break. While Im sure this will never happen again, it was great to see our insurance agent step up like this. I highly recommend Farmers and Gails agency.
Farmers Insurance - Yogita Dabholkar
2010 Crow Canyon Pl #100, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
2023 is a difficult and scary time for quite a few California homeowners.Lately, Allstate has joined State Farm in deciding to halt sales of property coverage to new customers in California; both see its too pricey to underwrite policies in the state due to many natural disasters in recent years. Such announcements can create uncertainty and anxiety among consumers trying to keep or looking for homeowners insurance. As a homeowner in the Bay Area for 25 years, since our house is 60 years old, we do worry whether our policy will be renewed or canceled this year. Therefore in late May, we contacted our agent, Yogi and told her our concern. We told her that although our house is old, it is still in a very good condition. In the last few years, we not only retrofitted the house against earthquake and strong wind, but also bought the latest silicone roof coating to cover our roof, we showed her that silicone roof coatings fare the best against standing water and rain for more than 15 years. Silicone coatings can also reflect a lot of UV rays from the sun, keeping the building cool and reducing energy costs.Upon receiving our email, Yogi worked late till 7:30 pm that day to take care of our problem; she called and told us she would be talking with Farmers the next day, would do her very best to continue to meet our insurance needs. The next day, she gave us good news – the policy we have this year will be renewed automatically. What a relief! We don't need to shop around with many unknown uncertainties.A few years ago, to reduce the premium we paid for covering personal property (Coverage C) for our house, we got rid of a lot of belongings. However, our previous insurance company still kept Coverage C equal to 55% of Coverage A and refused to lower it. So we tried to find an alternative with lower coverage C. We met Yogi and she did lower it and reduce our premium.Yogi has been our definite 5-star agent at Farmers for many years. From our two stories you can see she is incredibly responsive, gives excellent guidance and helping us to get the maximum benefit out of our policies. We are so grateful and satisfied with her professionalism, customer service, and overall friendly attitude! You will too if your homeowner's insurance agent is Yogi.
Bridges at San Ramon
309 Springfield Dr, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
My husband, me and my dog signed one year lease to in here. We love this luxury rental, we like the water fountain, pool and gym. This gated community is so safe and its so convenient that we have NOB hill food, CVS, and restaurants right across our community. My dog loves here because she can see squirrels and ducks in the community. The air is so fresh because we have so many trees and nice flowers planted here. We usually left our patio door open during the day. It just feel so safe and comfortable living here. The leasing manager Nicoya is so nice. And whenever we have maintenance issue, they solve it promptly and professionally. Nicoya and Julia are so nice and helpful that one time I had an accident with my finger, a wide cut open wound. They helped me to stop my bleed promptly and helped me called ambulance right away, I was so thankful they were there. So far, we lived here almost a year, we had only one minor dishwasher issue because we stuck our spoon in the machine and the maintenance guy fixed it right away. Only one thing that we were unexpected is that the community will improve the apartment during the time you living in. Its good that they repainted my patio and outside. But it took about 3 weeks time, so my dog cant use the patio for the time. But after the repaint, it looks so much nicer and fresh now.
Foothill - Twin Creeks Apartments
1110 Harness Dr, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
I reside at Foothill Creek Apartments and have encountered challenges with communication and service from the management team. Upon the expiration of my initial 12-month lease, I was automatically enrolled in another 12-month contract at a higher month-to-month rate without prior notification. Additionally, I was required to obtain rental insurance, which I promptly submitted proof of. However, I was surprised to find a subsequent charge of $14.95 on my statement, as I was not informed that I needed to resubmit the insurance information to a different company. The communication regarding these matters has been lacking, with responses from the management appearing defensive and dismissive of my concerns. Furthermore, the quality of living in the apartments has been subpar, with issues such as poor insulation causing noise disturbances from neighboring units, particularly during laundry and shower times. The appliances, including the stoves, are outdated and prone to malfunctioning, leading to cracked surfaces and inefficiencies. Maintenance of the property, such as the cleanliness of blinds and functionality of dryers, has also been unsatisfactory.I believe there is room for improvement in the managements communication practices and the overall living conditions at Foothill Creek Apartments.
