U-Haul of Indio

This is the worst Uhaul location I have ever been to in the United States! I have used Uhaul multiple times all over the US, and this is by far the worst I have ever seen.I booked an appointment 1 month in advance in order to install a hitch on my car for a cross country drive. I picked a specific day that worked for me and a specific time (9am). However, the day before my appointment, I receive an automated text message telling me my appointment time was at 7.15am.I therefore called the location and spoke to the manager who told me they have me in the system at 7.15am. Meanwhile I am looking at my confirmation email from 1 month ago that says my appointment is at 9am.I tell the manager that I cannot come in at 7.15am which is why I had reserved my appointment time 1 month in advance, and he says there is nothing he can do because he had another appointment at 10am. I ask if there is another day available, and of course no other appointments available for over a week.I therefore had to rearrange everything to be able to make it in earlier because the manager/owner was unwilling to make it right for me. I get there at 7am on the day of my appointment only to find out the customer in front of me is also there for a hitch installation at the same time. So now, everything is messed up once again. I ask the owner if he would be able to rent me a pick up truck free of charge so that I can get to work since they messed up all the appointment times, and he says there is nothing he can do for me, and walks away. Really? Nothing you can do? Is that how you treat customers these days? Pathetic. Not only did they have no idea how to schedule people efficiently, but on top of that the owner was so unfriendly and couldnt care less about the customer. His lack of flexibility and willingness to make his customer satisfied was evidenced in the way I was treated as well other customers present at the time. The thing is, places like these dont care about their customers because they know we need the service, and by the time you experience their poor behavior, you are already commited and there is nothing you can do. So the only thing we can do as customers is leave bad reviews and encourage other people to take their business elsewhere. I also contacted uhaul customer service to file a complaint with the corporate office.Avoid this place at all costs!

Very friendly and helpful. The location was a gas station/mechanic/restaurant/laundromat/u-haul combo. That said, the convenience of an all-in-one was great!

I needed a forklift. Quickly. I am writing this review to say that I will not be looking anywhere else for forklift rentals from here on out. Joey in the rental office really saved the day and went above and beyond to make our rental happen, on time, and with great service. Thank you Quinn and especially thank you to Joey. I dont know how much you pay this man but you should pay him more.

It's extremely difficult to find, the guy that operates this location did not arrive until 8:46 am and our appointment time was at 8:00am. Once we found the hidden location, the office was extremely and disgusting dirty. It's in a run down filthy office. When I say filthy, it was disgraceful. I don't see how you could operate a business out of this. They are unorganized and not very friendly. Bad customer service. We had to help move other equipment out of the way to get what we came for. I will never rent from that location again.

Daniels Tire Service
81-943 CA-111, Indio, CA 92201, United States
I cannot say enough good things! I called to make an appointment for a wheel alignment and they got me in the same day, there was zero wait, because they have plenty of staff. The technician discovered a nail in my tire and we looked at the tread— it was truly time to replace the my rear tires anyway. It was 4:40 PM and they closed at five, so I suggested that we wait until the next day so as not to keep anyone over. But the crew and the management decided to just get it done so I wouldn't have to come back. They found me the perfect tire in stock at a price lower than you can buy on Amazon! And they installed it right away. They did the correct thing and rotated the rear tires to the front so that the newer tires were on the front of the car. They even test drove my car before the alignment and then test drove it again after the new tires were on. Old school. this place is the best. I would take my car for any service here. I'll never go anywhere else. Best service ever and super reasonable pricing.
Paul Dix Insurance Adjusters
82540 Lordsburg Dr, Indio, CA 92203, United States
We went looking for help with our insurance claim with State Farm after wind damage to home followed by heavy rain that flooded everything inside afterIf your like us you may not have much experience dealing with a property damage claim. We have had I think 2 car related claims in last 30 years. That did not prepare us for a property damage claim.Let me tell you what we've learned while getting through the many parts of our claim (think: Roofing, the stuff in the house, repairs of home and help replacing all our damaged furniture and 1000 other things)The insurance company we have didn't seem to want rip us off per se but they didn't do anything to help us get fair claim and wether intentionally or not they had 100's of errors in regards to what we were owned. Our adjuster worked to get these resolved as well.Especially when it's YOUR house it's good to have someone else on your side. Yeah we paid a commission on the amount Paul and team were able get us (nothing out of pocket) but it was much much less then an attorney would have charged and Im 100% sure we got 10 times what we would have got on our own. So we were WAY! Like way way! ahead of where we would have been had we tried do it on our own.As an example It's not easy sometimes dealing with insurance representatives that seem to be incentivized to give you less then item cost to replace or actual construction costs in our area not some list of prices from whatever is least expensive in the country.I can only comment on what happened for us but if didn't Love what Paul and team did for us I sure wouldn't be writing them a review. And if their were downsides it was the problematic processes of insurance company. It was nice know someone was standing up for rights we honestly didn't even know we had in regard to our claim. One big one that impacted us right from the beginning was our policy allowed for us stay in a rental of our choosing similar to our actual home not a hotel or?If you haven't needed to go through this process I think that's great and I'm happy for you. Print out Paul's number or put in your address book just in case you'll be glad you did. That's exactly what I did it was 3-4 years later when I actually needed help.If you're a family member/friend or just someone I'm standing next to you in line and I hear you just had damage and were about have to deal with insurance stuff I'd give only one contact.Paul Dix Adjusting and team.
American Tire Depot
83191 CA-111, Indio, CA 92201, United States
I usually go to American tires in Indio and they are very good and professional but this time I went to American tire depot and I thought it would be good to try a different place so I did. When I called the place to see if they do alignment they said yes and that for my Corolla they'll charge me $ 49:99. When I went in the store and talk to the manager which name I don't remember he said they will charge me $79:99. I was like whatttt? So I told him that someone on the phone said $49:99. He looks at me and said well I will give you the price for being here for the first time. I was like really thanks. I thought to my self what kind of business changes their prices like that? Anyways I got four tires and an Alignment. My tires did not last more then a year or 18,000 miles and they were going out from on side more then the other so I went back and this is what they said ( yea that's very weird how you're tires on the front are Going faster from one side when we just did an alignment for you) anyways there is more to say but I really don't want to make them look worse. I do believe that I might being one of the unlucky one's there because they have some good reviews but my experience what really not good at all.
Ramona Tire

Almost 2 years ago, I brought my 2011 Jeep Cherokee overland in for an oil change in general check up when we first moved to INDIO in 2022. Everything was fine and I went home, a few months later I went to have an oil change when it was discovered that the oil measuring stick had been broken off and was inside the tube apparently not retrievable. I called Andy at Ramona Tire and race. Bring the car in. He found an easier way to retrieve the broken stick and charge me for a simple replacement. Only $40 plus he did the oil change and while he was there, he determined that other things on the 70,000 mile vehicle had not been done in a long time since I rarely drove be the car. . Subsequently, they changed the antifreeze replaced all the filters and the brake fluid oil. I was very pleased at the thoroughness and I feel like I have a practically new car, now that the tires have also been rotated and alignment check. I thought the price was fair and the service was great. I will return and recommend them highly.
