U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
1911 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
Well run by friendly managers, easy and convenient location. I have rented 4 trucks in the past year from this location. They usually have the truck size I want, and trucks are always clean and ready to go with whatever extra equipment Ive reserved.I am *not* a fan of UHauls self check-in system. The concept is great if only it was user-friendly. The system was extremely difficult to navigate even on a brand new, top of the line cellphone (not trying to make a pitch for my phone, just saying difficulty was not due to poor technology on my end). The system kept crashing at the last step, and I ended up searching all over the website to find a live customer service number to request help in order to resolve the issue. The phone rep was patient and helpful and, after it crashed on her 3 times, she was finally able to find a work around but the process still wasnt complete. The personal identification process is over the top and should be clearly laid out at the time of reservation. They require you to upload a copy of a passport, a utility bill showing your address, or provide a name and number of a personal reference. Since I dont usually leave my house with my passport or a utility bill, the only other option was to provide a personal reference whom they called while I held on line. I was picking up the truck at 6 am, and my reference is in another time zone, 3 hours behind. They woke her up at 3 am just to ask her if she knew me.The whole thing made no sense. If I was a dishonest person, I could have simply given a number of a would-be accomplice to vouch for me, and it would have provided no assurance I was legit. Rather pointless, and it proved nothing in terms of my intentions for renting the truck or my trustworthiness. If I had known Id have to spend 40 minutes outside in the cold trying to navigate this whole nonsensical process, I would have gone to another truck rental company even if it meant paying more.Thats on the corporation, though. The local dealer, as described, came through on their end by having the truck ready. UHaul seriously needs to reconsider their system for self check-in.
San Ramon Valley Self Storage
1911 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
The storage facility staff are nice and the place is secure, however rodents got into all of our stuff and a lot of our furniture is now ruined since it was covered in feces and urine. We did not have any perishables stored in our unit, so I am thinking maybe they went after some cleaning supplies or candles. Our things were stored at this location for about 5 years, the climate in the unit is good and there are some carts to help move your things around. I would only recommend storing things here if you can put them in rodent proof containers.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
2404 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583, United States
This is referencing two Enterprise agreements on 12/5/19 and 12/6/19.7WPBNM. I did not receive any feedback email for these two incidents.12/4/19I scheduled a rental pickup for a full size car at the San Ramon location. The person said yes your car will be ready. When I got there, my car was not ready. So they said all they have is a Hyundai Elantra (a step down). I agreed since they messed up. When i got into the car I noticed the left brake lamp went out. I went back and they said now that all they have left is a Hyundai Accent (another step down!). I was frustrated after waiting almost 45 minutes for this dilemma. I accepted and finallly left. I have decided that I will swap cars the following morning towards my destination. I created another reservation at the Vacaville location, hoping there will be a full size car for me.7WSSN312/5/19I stopped by the Vacaville location. A person helped me and got me into a full size For Fusion Hybrid. He said that the car needs a quick wash and will need to take it to the back. I said no problem. As the car left the lot towards the back, I noticed one of the brake pads had a scratching sound as if the brakes were rubbing against metal. I immediatley notified the person who helped me and he also heard the sound as well. He swapped me with another Ford Fusion Hybrid. I was finally on my way to my destination.I have rented from Enterprise many times and I have never experienced bad cars like this, especially ones that have safety issues. When I returned the car to the Walnut Creek location, the person who did my final paperwork said that he cannot give me a final agreement as the branch manager(s) will need to reach out to you. This is unacceptable and he expected that there should be some compensation. I have not received any phone calls from any managers. Just agreements with tiny discounts.I have called Enterprise customer service to follow up on this. The lady who helped me said the district manager will give me a call. She did not specify when he would call, its whenever they want to call me.So far not one manager has called me. Very disappointing at Enterprise.I guess I will start looking elsewhere for rental cars.
