After reading some of the negative reviews, Im compelled to write my own review. I feel many here are treating this store unfairly. 2.5 stars? Not even! Being a maintenance mechanic for a local construction company, I deal with Coastlines Oxnard store regularly, particularly its Service and Parts departments. I have always found Coastline Oxnard to be well-managed, professional, fair and helpful. The techs and managers in Service are personable and extremely knowledgeable. John and Jason work really hard to keep their customers happy. The same goes for Fabien, Larry and all the other good guys in Parts. I say judge for yourself. Give the location a chance to earn your business. To those dissatisfied with this location: First consider your conduct and expectations before being so critical here.Chris

I have a moving company in Santa Barbara 40 miles away from this businessThey used to have a location in my town but now they're about an hour awayCustomer service is good but overall I was very disappointed. At their shop in Santa Barbara it was self service and the checkout was quick. At this location you can only go to the counter and there's only one person to serve you so it's a long process to get what you're looking forI came by to get paper pads, in Santa Barbara they had a lot of backstock of moving supplies here, after the journey down, they only had one bundle of paper pads and I was looking for 4( and they're still closed on the weekend) so the earliest I could get this if I'm willing to make the journey is next Monday three days from nowSo overall the service people were good but I would not come back to this location as it's very time-consuming and hardly worth the trip to find nothing is availableFrom this point on I will probably buy my moving supplies online and have them deliver itI buy about $2000 a month in moving supplies

We rented a beautiful 2 bedroom home in Solimar Beach Colony for a week for a family vacation. The house looked to be newly renovated and it had everything we needed to live like we were at home while we were there, and then some. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and eat meals in, the bedrooms were quite cozy with lots of extra blankets, games for kids, plenty of paper products so we didnt have to buy any, towels chairs and umbrellas for the beach, boogie boards. The area was very grassy in front of the house for walking our dogs. The only negatives were that there were no screens in the windows so lots of bugs were getting in the house and the windows had to stay open to get the cool ocean breezes. They also could have provided another umbrella for the back patio as it was impossible to get enough shade in the afternoon with just the one umbrella provided. Also, as luck would have it the house next door started a complete remodel just as we arrived and there was construction noise, but the rental agency worked with us to try to make good for that problem. Although they had no control over the situation next door they worked with us to find a solution that we were happy with. All in all I would say that we would definitely rent this house again next year!

The realtor that was doing a showing for the rental property i wanted to look at never responded to my text when I let her know I was on my way @ 2:58 pm and she never told me she was leaving the property, when I had texted her @ 3:17pm I was 5 mins away. We arrive still with no responses to my texts. I didnt see anyone so I walked to the front door, the screen door was unlocked so I thought maybe she was inside but the front door was locked. I walked back to my car took the phone from my child (watching disney) called them at 3:26pm to find out what happened and let the office know she never responded weather she had gotten my messages or not. They respond she is their only showing agent...please hold so we can see what happen... came back from the hold she was already showing another place. Even with all my texts and calls explain i have . Car at the moment and 3 kids husband is home at 3 we are gonna try and be there. yet they couldnt work with our times available even with a rescheduled. We probably would have rented the place but just want to make sure it would fit what we need before applying, but they couldnt work with us by 30 mins and we showed up at 3:20, we were right out front between the showing appointment times originally was told 3pm qnd she would leave qt 330 then she text me 320 the day of.. super disappointing and as we drove up nobody was driving away. Yes I was in contact threw out the day and was doing my best to be on time tho they were aware of my time and availability but did not bend at all they dont do 330 appointments is their response. Unless you put application in and get approved. Yet who in middle class has extra money to apply places they havent seen And may not want. yet I did think I would have like this place but to have only 1 showing agent who doesnt responded to a text on my way like okay I am here or anything and then to not wait a couple minutes... I honestly probably only need 5 minutes if that to look at the property. They are willing to reschedule at the same time yet it will be the same dilemma due to my husband not getting home til 3 super disappointing... I wonder how the home owner would have handled this.

This ferry is operated directly by Channel Islands National Park. There are three locations in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Oxnard. The location is good, the website is well maintained, and the ships are operated with safety as the top priority. I used it in February, but because its winter, there arent many ferries and many of them are canceled on the same day. They call to let you know about flight cancellations and check in real time through an automatic response, but they also send you an email and even a phone call right away. The service is efficient and the staff are all friendly. But you need to make a reservation in advance for anything.The reason the rating was lowered is because of dissatisfaction with the tour. I had high expectations since only the Whale Watching Tour was available, but I didnt even see a whale. Its not a problem with the day our boat leaves, its a tour that is inherently difficult. Even if you see it, you can only briefly see its tail or feel that it is somewhere. The captain searches for the whale and does his best, but there is no guarantee that he will find it, and the advertising is too exaggerated. Except for a moment when I got close enough to see Anacapa Island and saw sea lions on the island from far away, I only saw the spray for 3 to 3.5 hours. The small boat moves fast and shakes a lot, so unless youre just riding for the fun of riding, it doesnt seem like a product youd expect to see on a tour. When returning to port, a picture of the bonfire is displayed on a screen mounted on the ships ceiling for disappointed guests. It means to warm up your heart and go, and I thought it was fun, but it once again confirms that the probability of seeing a whale is very low.Aside from the fact that the advertisement was exaggerated, you cant really be angry about why things are like this in the situation of the whale appearing. However, there are aspects of this tour product that they could have managed better that are worth considering. My complaint is that the national park volunteers on board are not professional and of no practical use. As soon as the boat departs, the Naturalist grandmother explains about the whales that we might see that day if we are lucky, but it was difficult to listen because she explained in such a noisy environment without a microphone, and I have no presentation skills. It is a kind of education and may be the only experience you can get from this tour, but I was a little angry at their laziness in approaching it in such an ineffective way. Another volunteer, an old man, kept holding on to someone and talking about his experiences the entire time, making too much noise. He didnt realize that he was a nuisance to the guests who were dozing off and suffering from motion sickness without being able to see the whales. Even though I asked him to lower his voice, he continued to talk for three hours, which made me angry because I felt like he couldnt find his role and was only satisfying the personal needs of a chatty old man. The captain went around looking for whales and kept explaining the situation, but they made it impossible to even listen to the broadcast.The ship itself is clean and well-maintained, the bathroom is usable, and the chairs on both the first and second floors are good, but its so cold that its better to take a chair in the cafe on the first floor. The cafe coffee is not expensive and its worth a cup of coffee when its cold, but theres nothing to eat except snacks, so those on the 1:30-5:00 tour must bring snacks.

This is by far the worst company weve ever hired to come work on our home. We had an emergency plumbing situation and were bound by the fact that this company was the only one we could find to come out. We called and spoke with someone at 6:30 and were told that Jesus would be at our house by 9:30. At 9:30 he told us he wouldnt be here til 10. At 10 he said he was 15 minutes away. At 10:30 he said he would be here at 11. Finally, after 11 he showed up and claimed there was a traffic accident. He took a look at our plumbing and just gave us an estimate.Afterward, we set up an appointment for the following Tuesday to fix everything. I work from home and my husband works out of town so we trusted that Jesus would be by the estimated window of 11am-1pm. From 1-4 we began to receive the exact text we had received the first night. Im 15 away. Im 10 away with a new excuse oh my car battery died. by 4:30 we were forced to cancel the appointment and requested that for the next day we would need a new technician since we no longer felt comfortable having Jesus come to our home.The following day arrive and 2 hours before our window we were told by management that Jesus was the only technician available despite the promises that they made. Did they not know that no one else was available on our previous call just 16 hours prior? They didnt have a schedule in front of them when they guaranteed us a new technician?We did not feel comfortable with this tech but felt like we were in between a rock and hard place since we hadnt had hot water in 4 days.Jesus arrived while my husband wasnt home. He was smirking as he arrived and got out of his car he asked me what are you mad at me? and proceeded to laugh when I said we just need to get this job done and we have waited a long time. I felt immediately uncomfortable, something that I had wanted to avoid.Overall, just a terrible experience we were forced into due to the unfortunate circumstances. Do not go with this company unless you want to have multiple missed appointments and creepy people at your house.
