U-Haul Moving & Storage at Garvey Ave
10704-28 Garvey Ave, El Monte, CA 91733, United States
All the ladies i spoke to over the phone were the best professional informative helpful! Andrew was great professional and helpful; only reason i don't give 5 stars: 2 guys need csr training- received angry call from Larry stating they haven't heard from me when I'd been calling daily& was over-quoted charges; the guy who took my final payment on 11/29 could not be bothered with decent humanity no eye contact, short incomplete answers, left us waiting in silence as if we needed special clearance to converse though he had several casual conversations with another employee mid-transaction; otherwise U-Haul has great prices doing business was mostly a pleasure. Would be great time saver to have detailed user guide to turn on/off high beams, emergency brake, ac, heater, etc. and what does the M & 1 mean on gear shift and how to use. so don't have to waste half hour pushing buttons and testing each. Otherwise seats are super comfy! Can't beat the prices! Most the time, they had me in and out, were usually easy to work with when needed to extend time of rental. With my budget and time restraints couldn't have done the move without uhaul. Bill/receipt could have greater detail with clear break down of all charges, every payment made and when and how paid and days of use. Thank you

Upon pick up of the box truck, the windshield was not clean and the cup holders were encrusted with dirt. The gas tank was just above the 1/8 mark. The facility also has a poor selection of overpriced boxes to choose from.I had to buy $25 worth of gas a gas station, and I drove the nearest U-Haul store to buy the boxes I needed. A kind staff member washed the windshield.I returned the truck the same day and I was charged a refuel fee of $11.66 even though the gas gauge was slightly below 1/4 of a tank. I think this is dishonest and unfair. I would never return to this place of business again.

My recent experience with Longo Collision Repair Center has left me deeply dissatisfied.I reached out to Longo on April 30th to check on my car repair status and was informed by Javier Heredia that my repair was completed, but they couldn't release my vehicle due to an outstanding balance of $237.84. I called my insurance appraiser and was told that that the had already been sent to Longo, but it was uncashed. He even forwarded the confirmation email to me. My appraiser also reached out to Longo, where George Solorzano, the estimator, assured that no further balances were outstanding. Upon arrival, I spoke to the receptionist, Paula Candelerio and George who insisted that the outstanding balance is $2900, contradicting the previous information provided. I had a copy of the estimate as well from my insurance and none their numbers were matching up. Despite presenting evidence from my estimate, they were dismissive and reluctant to double check their numbers. After much back and forth, they finally admitted that an error had been made, and the balance was actually $1600, which is still incorrect. Please note that instead of an official invoice, they wrote the amount on a small piece of paper, which was completely strange an unprofessional. After about an hour, the Office Manager, Arasi Tua, intervened to rectify the mistake and provide the correct amount owed (479.66 + my deductible). Rather than offering a sincere apology for the significant inconvenience caused by Paula and Georges incompetence, she excused their behavior as a mistake. She then had the audacity to question my frustration when all of them spoke to me condescendingly and disrespectfully. The lack of empathy and accountability displayed from the Longo team is concerning. It is evident that the team at Longo lacks the skills to ensure accurate invoicing and professional conduct. The incompetence displayed by Javier, Paula, George, and Arasi is unacceptable. Had proper procedures been followed, this situation could have been avoided. To top off this disaster, the car wouldnt start and they had to jumpstart the vehicle.I must acknowledge the professionalism displayed by Michael Chau, the Collision Repair Director. He took full accountability for his team and showed genuine concern for our dissatisfaction. Its clear why hes the director.I cannot recommend this Longo Collision Repair Center based on my experience, but if you have no alternative options, please seek assistance directly from Michael Chau for any ounce of professionalism and respect.

Brookside Country Club Manufactured Home Community

I've recently moved in with my family of 6. At first this place seemed like the optimal option in these uncertain times. I'll keep this succinct and list my grievances in order from worst to less worse.TL;DR: At the bottomThe internet. To start in the year 2020, the internet isn't a luxury, it's a necessity especially during an unceasing pandemic. When they first give you the tour of the area they never mention the glaring issue of not having any reliable internet. If you get lucky and buy a plot next to an arbitrary radius and you might be able to get wired internet. If you're unlucky like my family was you have to choose between two main providers, both of which are via satellite and unbearably awful. Both ISPs (Internet Service Providers) offer 25Mb speeds for two years contracts at rates that are sometimes are up to $120+/month, with low data caps and extremely fickle internet stability. My family was promised speeds of 25Mb, we're lucky if we get 1Mb because typically we get 30Kb. The reason as to why this area doesn't have any good ISPs is because the previous owners were in debt to Spectrum and when the current owners bought this plot they decided that the thing on which the global economy relies on wasn't important . As such they're forcing you to pay astronomical amounts of money for McDonald's WiFi. And even that McDonald's WiFi is free.Management is awful. As you've probably seen here some reviews state that they've promised better internet at the park. Well I'm sure the first man will walk on mars before they get reliable Internet here. When we first started searching for internet we came to dead end with the ISPs none could support a family that requires the internet to go to school and work. When we told this to management their answer was simple. If we wanted to get better internet here we could get signatures from the entire park saying that they would switch ISPs if Spectrum installed wired internet. So that the park wouldn't have to pay because they've having a hard time making money increasing the rent every year. So if you want to live here be prepared to do the work of management without any of the payment.Broken on arrival. The house came with broken appliances, the microwave, dishwasher and the power supply, can barley power the house. To start when we first came into the house we noticed that the microwave had a huge crack/tear in the center of the backplate, the dishwasher didn't work and couldn't even get water flowing into it. The floors are flimsy and tear super easy. I could go into a land fill and find better construction material. Lastly the power supply can barely handle a pc and ac unit before shutting down. If you wanted to have friends over after the pandemic, don't bother, the power will cut out from more than a few people charging their phones. No parking spaces. The parking here is by far the worst one I've seen in any mobile home park. The spaces can barley accommodate your family let alone any guest. The employee parking takes 1/4th of the entire parking spaces & if you want to park outside, good luck walking a few blocks at night. You would think that this place would've figured out a solution by now but I guess they still are waiting for us to resolve it for them.TL;DR: If you are planning on buying a property here, don't. It's clear that a good majority of the park as brought up these issues before and yet nothing has been done to resolve them. With this pandemic every time you go out, you aren't just risking yourself, you're risking your friends and your family. By giving people who are already under heavy economic burden, costly and ineffective internet the park has sealed your fate. You needed to make an important conference call? Good luck not being able to connect the meeting. You need to do research for your upcoming final? Have fun with the internet timing out every time you click a link. It's clear that if they aren't willing to help even in times of economic hardships and ever growing pandemic, they won't help period.
