Truck Rental at U-Haul

The wait in line was over 30 min, only 1 employee. They have plenty walking around. Its crazy for the wait to be so long to pick up a reserved car dolly.

John Cho - State Farm Insurance Agent
3520 College Blvd STE 104, Oceanside, CA 92056, United States
My State Farm Agent John Cho in Oceanside and his entire office are fantastic. They are professionals who know what they are doing and care. They respond in a timely manner and are gracious as well. It is great to have my auto insurance, fire insurance, life insurance and my bank at one place. Yes, I also have my checking and savings with State Farm Bank. I have also had claims and Johns office and the claims department have been great. One time, John even wrote my claim check out of his office. I would have never imagined walking into Johns office and walking out with a reimbursement check. Thank you!I did some research and discovered that State Farm has been around since 1922. State Farm has been the number 1 auto insurer since 1942 and the number 1 home insurer since 1964. What is amazing is that State Farm handles over 33,000 claims each day! Comforting to know with all the wildfires in California. John has 30 years State Farm experience. I value and appreciate the relationship I have with him and Sandy, Claudia, and Nellie. His office in Oceanside takes care of you and doesnt sell you policies. The wrong time to find out is after a claim. Highly recommend this office.
Hughes Szuberla CPAs
206 N Coast Hwy #310, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States
Ive worked with Hughes Szuberla for the past few years.I can honestly say Hughes Szuberla is by far the best firm Ive been with. From their customer service, to the timely completion of my taxes. They are excellent with their response time to any question I have, and fantastic in offering suggestions in order for me to receive the maximum refund. As an expat living and working overseas, its very important for me to have an accounting firm that is knowledgeable and experienced in expat tax preparation.Hughes Szuberla is that firm. I had contacted 4 other firms that said they knew expat exemptions. But from the first time I contacted them, Mason knew exactly what I was talking about and even asked questions to things that I hadnt considered.I highly recommend Hughes Szuberla to anyone that is looking for a firm that really puts your interests first.David Walker
Washed Out Pressure Washing
603 Seagaze Dr #253, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States
If you have a neighbor you dislike, hire this company. The incredible roaring sound of the NOT enclosed and NOT Noise INSULATED machine on the back of their truck will vibrate the house walls and floors of your neighbor for hours without a moment of relief. Their workman will refuse any mitigation or movement of their insane sound machine even when offered cash. The owner of the company seems used to receiving noise complaints and equally well versed in blowing them off. He says his truck “is legal” and he needs to do nothing to help you. Hard to believe such an insensitive and uncaring person owns a company, but their you have it.However Do know you can call your local law enforcement agency and file a noise complaint. Your local government also has a noise element in their general plan. Code enforcement officials can be called to enforce that noise element. In our case, the owner did not care that my wife had had surgery two days previous and could NOT leave and go to the store for a couple of ours while they finished nor in any case could our adult disabled son with three painful autoimmune diseases leave the house without advance planning. They drove up, the assault began. We were NOT contacted by the owner beforehand to warn us or give us time to prepare. We had no idea our neighbor had contracted with this company. He had no idea of the level of noise their machine would create.I believe that this uncaring, bully of an owner violated the Americans With Disabilities Act with his noise “sneak” attack on my two day post surgery wife and our adult physically disabled son. I have an incurable blood cancer so I do not have time to see a lawsuit through to the finish. Otherwise I would be contacting our lawyer and I would file against this bully.. Good luck if you hire these guys.
On The Sand Vacations
999 N Pacific St, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States
What a nightmare. We booked our trip way back in November 2022 for our vacation in September 2023. We selected a place specifically for the ocean views and proximity to the beach. We looked forward to our annual trip for almost a year. The WEEK before we are supposed to leave for our trip we are notified by OTSV (On The Sand Vacations) that the condo was double-booked. Oh, bummer. We ask who booked it first? Were told of course that we did so I figured no problem; were good. However they STILL gave our reservation to somebody else who booked AFTER we did.Naturally I was surprised as this made no sense. But they would not let us have our original reservation and told us we would have to re-book our vacation that we had already booked 10 months prior! As you would imagine all other comparable locations were either already taken or too expensive at that point. We ended up having to go through the booking process all over again and their best option for us had limited ocean views and much further from the beach. Not to mention we could only stay for 7 nights when we had originally booked 8! And what did Mark from OTSV offer us for our troubles? A measly discount that wouldnt even cover taxes and fees.Mark claims Airbnb is at fault and Airbnb says OTSV is at fault. Mark told us they never received our booking from Airbnb but we all know its an automated system that sends out those notifications. Its not as though they have someone sending out booking emails every time a reservation is made. Mark also said hes had this problem before. Even with his own vacation! So if his claims are true and this has happened to him a number of times in the past then you would think to put some safeguardsin place to avoid a situation like ours.To top it off:My wife was the initial person he contacted because shes the main account user. I decided to continue the conversationafter she was getting nowhere with him. After I expressed my understandable displeasure with the situation andlack of satisfactory remedy he sent a text that basically said my wife was easier to deal with. I couldnt believethat after getting some pushback from me he then wanted to deal with my wife again because he thought he could getaway more.We lost an entire day of our once a year vacation, our excellent original condo reservation, and countless hoursdealing with OTSV and Airbnb trying to right this ridiculous wrong and receive some compensation that is actuallycommensurate to this ordeal weve gone through. I still have no idea why our reservation was given to somebody elsewhile we booked before anybody. Our situation is ongoing although it seems OTSV has no interest in making this right and preposterously admits no fault in the matter.

The Brother Benno Foundation
3260 Production Ave, Oceanside, CA 92058, United States
I desperately went to this organization who says try support veterans with an urgent need for rent assistance. I submitted my application, jumped through hoops with my management to get the necessary documents, only to be played as a fool. The pandemic affected so many veterans, who lost their jobs and on the verge of losing their home. 211 referred me to this agency for help after my husband lost his job. After nearly two weeks, someone named Joe stopped answering my calls, my packet had been submitted for financial assistance, I turned my packet into Darryl, very hard person to get ahold of. Darryl submitted my packet, joe called to verify the documents. When checks arrived, week later I received NOTHING! I had to call to find out if they paid my management company. I Had to call DARRYL! ABSOLUTELY NOONE CALLED TO TELL ME THAT THE SAME PEOPLE WHO SAID I WAS GOOD TO GO TO SUBMIT THE PACKET, had in fact BOLDLY DENIED MY PACKET ONCE THEY RECEIVED IT! Horrible, traumatic, unacceptable. No one told me anything, I was in the dark, I thought my landlord/ manager was getting a rental check! Can you imagine being a veteran and brother Benno tells you to submit, only to get relief, and the following week, ignored and lied too. If it wasn't for me calling today, I would have been screwed! I had to notify management that this organization is not, and clearly has never been, reputable and or takes care of veterans as advertised. DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENCY, THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, MAKE YOUR SITUATION WORSE, and most certainly have you jumping through hoops on EMPTY PROMISES. IM SOO EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND SADDENED BY THIS. I was bamboozled, as. VETERAN who served over 20 years for her country. They are lieing con artists! Stay clear!
Canyon Club Apartments
420 Activity Way, Oceanside, CA 92058, United States
Wow. Where do I even begin? I lived at this place for approximately two years. I reluctantly renewed the lease due to my husband not wanting to move. I had to get out of the lease a few months ago due to getting orders and they billed me almost 2 GRAND in damages..damages that were already there when I moved in!!!! To me, I had the vibe that they were pissed I was getting out of my lease early and they punished me by billing me that BS bill. Oh but theres more folks. Im just getting started.I had a flea infestation when I moved in. The lady who lived in that apartment before me had a puppy, this I know. It was about a week after I moved in I started to wake up with welts all over my body. I didnt even know what it was at first until I started seeing the fleas jump on me. Assuming it was my cat (which was flea free and I had just treated with flea meds before moving in) I gave him a bath with dawn and another dose of flea treatment. This did nothing. The fleas continued to bite. I contacted management and asked them to bomb the house for bugs (this is one of their supposedly complimentary services). They NEVER came and bombed our place. Even though I would complain over and over. So after getting sick of me complaining they started to lie and say they bombed the place while I was at work (what a joke). The fleas never subsided. Also upon moving in, the carpets were FLITHY. and the place smelled like dog piss from the previous tenant. I complained and told them the carpets were filthy and I dont want to get charged on this for my deposit. They assured me that wouldnt happen. They lied of course. The security...what a JOKE!!!!! I had annoying neighbors that would play music past midnight on a weekday every other day. Me being military and having to wake up at 05 or earlier, this was a problem. I called maintenance probably over a hundred times in total in the span of me living there. They NEVER picked up once when I called. So then I complained to the managers in the office and told them about the noise and maintenance not picking up my calls. Of course nothing was done and I continued to wake up exhausted every day for work.Black mold was another problem. It was inside the walls, and on the window panes and crevasse. My husband is sensitive to black mold so he was ALWAYS sneezing and sick while he was inside the apartment. My nose would be congested and I never felt well. We called maintenance about this as well, they came by and rubbed the mold with rubbing alcohol...HUH???? You dont get rid of mold with rubbing alcohol. You have to use chemicals otherwise it will grow back. Which of course that is exactly what happened. They were so sick of my maintenance requests, I was eventually blatantly ignored, and then they would say someone took care of it while I was at work (which was obviously a lie bc the problem would still be there). The entire apartment needs to be renovated. Everything looks like it hasnt been changed since 1985 (seriously, it is VERY dated). Which honestly in the grand scheme of things wouldnt be that big of a deal, but when I was paying $1400 for a one bedroom (after utilities) I wondered where all the money went, because it wasnt towards bettering the facility...THATS for sure.I paid almost $200 in utilities EVERY MONTH. The apartment I live in now is a fraction of that.If youre apartment hunting I recommend looking at Ultris at rancho del oro. A tad farther from the main gate, but trust me, living here instead of ghetto overpriced canyon club will save you a world of headache. Service is awesome at ultris and maintenance ACTUALLY takes care of your issue within that same day. Security also answers your calls at all hours of the night (unlike canyon club). There arent bums running around rampant here either going through your garbage. Better place overall for the same price as canyon club.

Pep Boys
2041 Mission Ave Suite 110, Oceanside, CA 92058, United States
We came to Pep Boys when our rental car developed a low tire pressure. They worked with the rental agency to get it fixed and put new tires on there. They were friendly and kind. While we would have preferred not to have car trouble, I’m so glad that Pep Boys was here to help.
