Enterprise Rent-A-Car
3851 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92105, United States
3.75 stars. The staff work hard to keep people satisfied and the prices, especially for frequent customers, are often the lowest. That said, the hours of operation are a little narrow which keeps them from serving the community as best they could. Also, I have been disappointed at times when they say they will have a certain car for me at the appointed pick-up time but dont and then want to give me an upgraded car. Upgraded cars are fine if they fit my needs, but more often I end up with a car that eats more gas. Overall I have been more satisfied than dissatisfied and I find them better than most car rental agencies.

Dont be fooled by the Wolf in sheep clothing! Oh yeah everyone seems friendly and accommodating that is until there is a problem with their service, then you are given the back seat or better yet the incompetent tech to work on your vehicle. My opinion is they have a bunch of used car salesman working the desk and a bunch of fly by night mechanics in the shop. Here is my reason for this. I brought my truck in for just a routine transmission maintenance service. I made an appointment but I dont believe anyone really set up the time. Anyways they changed the fluid, filter, etc. Things seem ok but the next morning there are oil spots on my expensive paver stone driveway, in various locations under the transmission. So I call and set another appointment which is pretty useless because they dont seem to know how to set appointments for this type of servicing. But they change out the gasket which was leaking and send me on my way. This time the service was better than before, now it was only leaking fluid from one corner of the pan! I remind you again that this is just a normal maintenance service. So I set another appointment for them to evaluate where the leak is coming from because they are to busy to service it at the time and I would have to leave it overnight. They check it and find the place on the pan it is leaking from and try to tighten it down and telling me if it still leaks bring it in. Of course it still leaks, so once again I try to set an appointment for 3:30 (so Im not without a vehicle for the next day) and the Manager Nick tells me to bring it in at 3pm instead because he doesnt think 3:30 to 5pm will give them enough time to service it. I bring my truck in around 2:40 for my supposed 3pm appointment and to make a long story a little shorter I go for a walk and come back at 3:40 and my truck is exactly where I had left it. So I politely ask them, Did I not have a 3:00 appointment? The clerk is trying to explain to me the situation to the best of his abilities, then Nick comes out of the office like an immature child (not the Better Business Professional they are suppose to be) and says, he told me it would be ready by 5pm and if I dont like it get my keys and go somewhere else! Well from what I recalled during my phone conversation he said if I got it there by 3:30 he couldnt assure me that they would have time to service it and it may have to stay there. So now the clerk is trying to make things right but I over hear the manger Nick yelling like a baby that I shouldnt be able to dictate the flow of the work and he doesnt care, etc. etc. Needless to say I took my keys and left. I called asking for a refund so I could do what they told me to do and take my truck somewhere else, and they said they would call me back and help me out. No call back, I may have to take them to small claims for the refund and driveway damage. To top it off my truck is still leaking from their service. If you do business with these guys, dont fool yourself thinking your dealing with competent professionals. They cant even do a simple Transmission Maintenance Service correctly.

Called to ask for a quote on a transmission rebuild and was told to bring my car in so he can take a look at it, in order to properly quote me. “sir I am not towing a car to you, so I can get over charged”.This does not reflect on their work or customer service, however if you have a car that doesn't run, look somewhere else.

Dirt Cheap Car Rental
3860 Rosecrans St, San Diego, CA 92110, United States
My girlfriend and i recently decided to spontaneously fly to LA and visit San Diego. We are both students, and dont have a large income.I am SO thankful that i found Dirt Cheap Car Rental on google. We needed a car with a good MPG rating, that didnt need to be the newest possible model and wouldnt cost us an arm and a leg. I browsed through offers of many other car rental agencies near the airport and old town area. For the 8 days that i was going to be needing a car in SD the price i would have had to pay, at a larger car rental agency, was on average around 750$ (with insurance included). This only being my second time ever having rented a car, i wasnt sure if this price was reasonable, however it was definitely too high for my budget.I decided to give this company a try because of their great amazon reviews and their practical location in old town. I am so glad i did.I ended up being able to rent a 2016 Kia Rio with, on average, a 30mpg rating. I was so happy and barely payed anything for gas, even though we were constantly driving around SD. For 30$ i was even able to extend my insurance and take a day trip up to Joshua Tree National Park. The car was in great shape, only a few scratches here and there.I payed around 255$ for the 8 day rental (with insurance included!) - awesome!!!The customer service was great, returning the car went quickly.I will absolutely rent from this agency again! A well deserved 5 stars.

We rented a cargo van to do some hauling and it was not only the best value but also a great experience! I’d highly recommend bypassing the major corporate car rental agencies or Home Depot and going with Sun Diego. They were friendly, efficient, and flexible!

Rolls Livery

Our driver Rick was so cool! Charismatic, genuinely excited for us, and most importantly, a safe navigator. However, the car we were picked up in was not the car we were promised. On our journey to the venue, Rick explained that we could swap with our preferred car for the second part of our experience (it was previously unavailable). We discussed the switch-a-roo in detail during the drive -- personally would have strongly preferred being fully present for the $550 experience, but the car switch logistics were worth discussing! But then it never happened. We were ushered into the wrong car, and the car we were promised was parked down the street. Two wedding cars on the same road was pretty awkward; our family took photos of the parked car we preferred but never got to experience. We didn't want to question anything or fuss in the moment on our big day, but a couple weeks later, we tried connecting with the owner of Rolls Livery, to discuss and understand the mixup. Our calls were immediately screened, our texts and voicemail went unanswered. Ghosted. A bit of a sour note on what could've been a really nice memory.Update: After several months, the owner did let us know that the car could not be swapped because we took too long on our first look. If that was communicated upfront, there would be no sour energy! The experience was beautiful overall, but communication was candidly difficult and a bit painful.

We often like to complain when things dont go our way, but its also important to commend a job well done. This is a comment regarding Stevens competency and service in the insurance biz:A few years back I had to find new insurance for my house as it had been cancelled on account of its wood shake shingle roof. I was connected with Steven via a friend in San Diego, and I was pleased with Stevens approach: Direct, polite, informed, and patient. Im an overly-analytic type who likes to know as much about something hes buying as possible, and Steven took the time to answer my (many) questions and we wound up putting my house, cars, and an umbrella policy under Liberty Mutual. He then helped me further when I decided to re-insure one of my cars under a classic car policy, and he provided a competent liaison between Liberty and Hagerty, which issued the new policy. Most recently, when Liberty decided it no longer wanted to be in the umbrella business in California, Steven found a new and competitively-priced policy with even greater coverage; he also took the time to explain to me some of the dynamics germane to the insurance business in California, essentially answering several of my questions around a number of topics.Steven is proactive, competent, timely, efficient, honest, and hell work with you to find the best policy he can for the need you have—including earthquake. I recommend him without hesitation.
