Auto Collision Group - Whittier

Where do I begin? Three words to sum up my experience with ACG..Dishonest, Shady, Unreliable. My wife hit her tesla going 3 miles an hour by making a u-turn and scratched the two right rims and front bumper. A bunch of error lights and alignment were off so took into Tesla. Tesla quoted me $500 to realign and get rid of all the errors and quoted me $850 per rim replacement. An hour later they they called me recommended I take it in to an approved Tesla Repair shop to check for internal damage. I took it to the closest Tesla approved repair shop which was Auto Collision Group..what a mistake.A lady came out and stated it was going to be over $10k to repair. I asked how does she know, she didnt even look inside? Long story short, it took them over two weeks to get back to me to give me a quote. (In hindsight, this is intentional...keep reading below). They confirmed no internal damage..To replace two rims, and fix scratch on bumper was going to be $12,500. Pretty crazy, so I told them I would like to take the car to get a second opinion. They said you can but I would have to tow it out as is and they would charge me $4k for storage fees. What the actual hell?I then stated for the rims, I will just buy two off of ebay. They stated that is not allowed and they have to fix everything on that $12,500 quote. Why the hell is this body shop holding my car hostage and telling me what to do with my car? Long story short, because of this, I had to go through insurance when it really should have been a $4000 all in repair job at most. (Rims from dealer $850 each, $500 to align and fix errors, fix scratch). Insurance negotiated them down and they proceeded with the work. This repair took over a month and the rep called me for 7 days straight saying it should be ready today, when it wasnt ready waiting for parts. Repair took over 1.5 months from when i first took it in. They then called me saying the car didnt pass alignment and they submitted a supplemental to fix..another $8K! I asked them what the hell did they look at for the two weeks when they confirmed there was zero internal damage? The first place they should of checked was the front rim where it hit the curb? Wait, theres more! The day I picked it up, i had to wait 2 hours in. there because they didnt have the paperwork/insurance payments all reconciled. I finally drove it off and one minute into the drive, all the error lights from when I first brought in the car went off. I had to return back and they serviced it for another hour to fix. What a S*** show this place is.Wait theres more. They originally told me they would waive my deductible when I first took it in which they renegd on. They then came back with an offer to reduce it by 50% if I gave them 5 star reviews on yelp and google. I refused and am writing this review. Now I know how their reviews are so high!Stay far away from this place! I will be making a formal complaint to Tesla and to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Ive never been taken for a ride by a body shop like this before.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This location is horrible, we have used them more than once and we are done! We had an insurance claim and the costs were to be paid by the party at fault.ENTERPRISE HAS ALL THE INFO THEY NEEDED INCLUDING CLAIM # etc, State Farm also confirmed they sent the reservation # not only originally, but again today.. When we picked up the vehicle it smelled like smoke and certainly was not clean just as many of the other reviewers have stated. We were also told that they would bill my credit card until ALLSTATE reimbursed them which I was completely OK with. Its been over 2 months and we havent seen any of the charges reversed, no followup by ENTERPRISE STAFF either. However, I was assured it could be handled. For some reason, I completely forgot about this and saw an ad for ENTERPRISE which caused me even more time to review my credit card purchases to see nothing had happened. Also, keep in mind, their prices change and we were gouged for the small truck they had available, They did not have any selection, so we were stuck with a Nissan Frontier truck. After a few days they called and said the truck was removed from inventory and they needed it back and would provide a different car. Really? why do I need to be inconvenienced due to their error of renting it in the first place. Also the engine light came on so I called and they made no attempt to come get the car, basically told me to keep driving it. This made it very unpleasant knowing that it could breakdown and possibly leave me stranded somewhere. Also, they called and said they needed additional $$$ for a deposit, which I have never seen. This was a very unpleasant experience and is still unresolved and it appears the person I talked to today didnt seem care and wasnt going to do anything, even after I stated I would just dispute the charges. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to the other competitors.BTW, read some of the other reviews, very similar to mine: Additional charges to your credit card, dirty cars, poor selection and staff that is unhelpful.Today I called Enterprise to see whats happening, they acted as if they had no clue and never seemed to make a call or do anything.Best to dispute the charge on my card and let them work to get their cash from Allstate. Such BS!ENTERPRISE, remember this, there is only one boss and thats the customer and they can fire everyone from the CEO on down to you, simply by spending their money elsewhere (Budget, Avis, Hertz, Alamo, Dollar, Thrifty)!Next time Ill deal with a more reputable office, but unfortunately, this location lost a customer for all future rentals at all of their locations. There is plenty of other choices out there who would love the business.

Please, hear me, then read the other 1 star reviews - they ring true with my experience. I feel it is my civic responsibility to write this review to warn others of the fraud perpetrated on me by this shop.My Lincoln LS wouldnt start. I thought it might be the battery so I called AAA roadside service to come out and start the car, test the battery and maybe replace the battery if needed. Fortunately, the AAA tech had quality (load testing) battery testing equipment on his truck. He looked at the battery, battery connections, etc. and after thoroughly testing the battery determined that the battery was like new, 100%. He then checked the starter motor and determined that it had failed.I called this Pep Boys spoke with Adrian and he quoted me $312 out the door to remove and replace the starter. (** I later found out that this is $60 higher than a reputable highly rated shop down the road **) I dropped the car off with Nick on Sunday evening, I reiterated that I was quoted $312 out the door for the R&R Starter job and he went to the computer, checked and confirmed that would be my price. On Monday I called to see how the repairs were going and the guy on the phone said, hey, your battery is no good... (remember, AAA just thoroughly load tested the 1 year old premium quality battery when they determined the starter was bad) so I replied, But AAA just checked it on Sunday and it was fine! He said, well I dont know what they did but its no good now. So I told him, just jump start it, I will deal with the battery myself when I get the car home - its under a replacement warranty... Needless to say, when we went to pick up the car it started right up and there is nothing wrong with the battery.I called on Tuesday to pickup the car and Adrian said it would be ready in a little bit and the bill would be just under $400! To which I said No Adrian you told me $312 out the door and Nick confirmed it when we dropped the car off - furthermore, I never authorized any additional work. He started telling me about inspection this and extra that and then when he could see I wouldnt go for a penny more, he tried to make it sound like he was adjusting the bill. This isnt the worst of it - put on your seat belt! So my wife picks up the car which started right up and then heads out onto the street calls me on the phone to tell me the car started right up, no problem with the battery so far and then she says - Hey honey, my lights dont work! Funny thing is that before AAA towed it, they checked all of the lights, tail, turn signal and brake lights. Now none of them worked.Clearly, when I wouldnt go for the extra charges in my phone call, they had plenty of time to sabotage my car during the 3 hours before we picked it up. I have no doubt this is what happened, not only did the tow truck driver check the lights before he towed it to Pep Boys, but we had no prior problem ourselves. This is how they assure they can pad the bill, you drive out onto the street, the turn signals dont work, they hope you will turn around and come right back so they can ream you again.Stay as far away as you can, they are the worst kind of people. I dont know how they can sleep at night. My employer warned me not to take the car to Pep Boys, but I was in a hurry to get it fixed as my wife needs for work and I was thinking of her. If I knew then what I know now I would never have let them touch my car. The time, money and aggravation is ridiculous. I thought I would have the car back for her sooner but now it needs to go into the shop again to fix the lights they sabotaged. So the full measure of damages has yet to be determined.I will be reporting these snakes to the BBB, the State of California Automotive Repair Board, the Pep Boys Corporate offices, and any other agency I can find to make certain the thievery is stopped.
