Ry-Den Truck Center Inc
2482 Foundry Park Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, United States
I was driving from the Bay Area when the computer crashed in my truck. I had ten deliveries to make. I called the first company and they said they would see me in seven days. The second company said maybe later this evening. Finally I called RY-DEN located in Fresno. They understood my situation and although they had ten vehicles ahead of me they said come in and well take care of you.And they did putting me back on the road in enough time to complete my deliveries. So I give a big shout out to the crew of RY-DEN TRUCK CENTER,INC in FRESNOfor going the extra mile to provide me with excellent service.P.S.THANKS TO THE BOYS IN HAWAIIAN SHIRTS

Im surprised to see poor reviews. I dropped off a 26 truck ( a little small for the drop off spot), but the man who helped me check it in guided me in and gave me information for the best places to fill the truck back up with fuel. The lady who processed the paperwork was very friendly and helped me with the gas shortage. I was really impressed with their service especially since it was right at closing time. Id highly recommend.
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Mid City
749 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93701, United States
I had to store my uBoxes at 749 Blackstone in Fresno, California for 11 months while I searched for an apartment. Though I was supposed to have access to my uBoxes during that time, I was did not. The location requires 24 hours notice to access your uBoxes and never answers their phone in order to allow you to arrange 24 hours notice. If you go down to the location to arrange notice, when you arrive at the arranged time, you will find that there is no record in the system of your previous visit and arrangement, even if you call a couple hours before the prearranged time to verify that your uBox will be ready for access. This location is IMPOSSIBLE to work with. The Manager, Heath, acts like customers are a nuisance and that he has far more important things to do, and that he cant take the time to assist in any way or resolve any issues. He straight out insults customers and accuses them of lying. He frequently requests a call back immediately in messages and then is never available, even IF someone at the location answers the phone.Corporate is more than willing to message or email him to request that he contact you, but these messages go universally unanswered. This district manager is equally uncooperative and accused me of lying when I had called the location over and over again for an hour and a half straight, informing me that the calls also ring in her office. After physically arriving at the location, I stood at the front desk (which was unmanned) and called the location 3 times and listened to the phones ring, unanswered, all three times until each call was automatically transferred to corporate. This is not an isolated incident and is my consistent experience over the last year, along with the experience of everyone I have complained about uHaul to since moving to Fresno.Though I had pre-arranged my uBoxes to be ready to be transported to my new apartment today, and despite calling again this morning and confirming my reservation and verifying that everything was going to be available for the moving company I had hired, it was, in fact, not ready at the arranged time and the location refused to release my boxes or prepare them until a $5 fee I had not been informed of was paid. They refused to accept payment from the movers I had hired, and Heath, the manager, stood idly outside the glass doors while the movers I hired listened to the phone inside ring over and over again (corporate could not accept my payment and was unaware of any fee), and when the mover called me and attempted to give his phone to the manager so he could take my payment, the manager turned and left instead of accepting his phone and taking my payment.I had to hire an Uber to go down to the uHauls physical location in order to pay this $5 fee (costing me an additional $30) in order to pay it.That is COMPLETELY and TOTALLY unreasonable and I will absolutely never work with uHaul again simply because the number of times I have complained about this location, the number of corporate customer service representatives who have told me how many complaints they have received already about this location, and the terrible reputation this location has among other companies in Fresno - Not to mention that I was completely unable to access any of my property, despite paying $120 a month for storage including access, for the last 11 months AS WELL AS being unable to move my property to another storage facility (due to lack of access) and the rudeness, insults, and complete disregard Ive dealt with from management at this location and apathy from corporate. The boxes I stored in my uBoxes at this location have water damage and many were falling apart as a result when we unpacked the uBoxes and there were mouse droppings all over my items. So in addition to not being able to access my items and refusing to release them to me or allowing me to transfer them to any other location (I tried), the uBoxes themselves are not secure. This is my worst experience dealing with any company ever and I will never work with uHaul again.
Penske Truck Rental
3080 E Malaga Ave, Fresno, CA 93725, United States
2 stars. 4 stars for Penske customer service by the staff and 0 for their Fresno manager.Rented a 12' truck through Penske at the Home Depot. Packing blankets were missing and required me to drive to the Fresno location on Malaga (approx 20 mins south). The 1-800 Penske customer service person was nice, the desk representative when I arrived was helpful (although it took over 20 mins to receive a credit back for the blankets). What I was truly offended by was the attitude and manner of their manager, Alex. The desk rep sought his assistance to complete the transaction. Alex came out of his office to the front desk; never acknowledged my presence as I stood 3' away or apologized to me being inconvenienced. He spent a few minutes trying to do whatever he thought he could do. Acknowledged to the rep that he was unable and that the rep had to re-enter all the information again(further delay). Turned on his heel. And walked out. It was rude behavior by any standard. How does someone like that get put into a managerial position? It will be a good question to ask their corporate office.
Budget Truck Rental

I worked with them in getting my move off the road. First I had reserved a cargo van for my trip about a week in advance. I felt the cargo van would be better suited to my senior body that has trouble climbing in and out of high places. When I arrived there were no cargo van. They offered the next one up, 12 footer for the same price. I had a timeline that I needed to keep so I took it. It looked fairly new so I drove it home. About 15 - 20mins fromrental site. I found the AC didnt work. I called and the young woman was apologetic and would call her boss and see if the could get another one. Not going to Texas without AC. In the interim of waiting I had to call the loaders and postpone to the next day. By the time the truck was available it was pushing 5pm. I exchanged the van, did our walk round and the cab was nice and cool. The AC was working. Boss took off $100 dollars of rental. That was nice. The loaders showed up the next day and within an hour I was on my way.I drove van over the grapevine on I5 south. I stopped to get gas around Newhall. When I started up the van I saw a message Transmission is hot, idle engine. I did that a few minutes. No change.I wanted to head out so I turned off the AC hoping that would take pressure off engine and headed East on 210. The light was still on. I pulled over and parked in a parking lot for 20-25 min with the engine off. When I restarted engine no warning light. I continued down the 210, but I noticed the engine light was now on. A few more miles and the Transmission warning came on. So I was pulling over to the off ramp when the truck kicked and made a thud sound. I believe from roar of the engine and not being able to shift, the truck was stuck in second gear.Im now sitting in the truck out front of a diner waiting for roadside assistance. That was about 45 minutes ago, when I called for help, no ETA. TBC???

Definitely made moving 100x worse! I reserved a trailer with them in person two days before my move out date. Only to arrive and none were available. They sent me to another location with the guy guaranting me a trailer and also reserving it for me before me heading to that location to pick it up, Only to find out the only trailer they had was broken for some time and has not been used and no other trailer was available at the moment. They simply stated they were sorry and they couldnt do anything for me leaving me scrambling around town looking for another trailer. None of them ever seemed to want to help just brushed me off. They failed to meet my reservation not once but twice. Be sure to collect your $50 if they fail to meet your reservation! None of the people I talked to in person ever mentioned the $50 the company guarantees if a reservation is not met.-Your welcome ?

Gibbs Truck Center - Gibbs Idealease Fresno
2712 South 4th Street Hwy 99 Exit 130, E Jensen Ave, Fresno, CA 93725, United States
I limped in with a totally destroyed coolant hose and needing an oil change on my bus and not able to go another mile without burning my radiator up. I stayed there all day and they spent two shifts making sure it was all fixed and good to go. There was a bathroom in good shape, and a lounge with a comfy chair and wifi. Everybody was friendly and when they were done I got a list of things that were odd and needed looking at, and a mechanic took some time to point out what everything was and answer my questions because its my first trip in the bus and I dont know my way around a diesel yet. If I hadnt had the good luck to be near this place when my hose burst, I could have been stranded. I dont have plans to be in that area again, but I recommend them to anyone passing through.
Security Public Storage

The staff who initially signed me up for my unit were very polite and friendly. There was a scary looking giant smudge on the floor of my unit, which took up about a third of it. When I asked for them to clean it up, they agreed to do so right away and said they would contact me once I could begin using the unit. I received a call three days later, and a person named Kelly was basically scolding me for not having a lock on my unit. I attempted to explain the reason why I hadnt put my lock on it, but kept being cut off being told that they would put their own lock on the unit. Once I was finally allowed to finish and told Kelly about the situation and why my lock was not on it, she said they could clean it, but they would still be putting their own lock on the unit. I didnt receive any explanation as to how I would be able to access the unit I paid $130 for, why I wouldnt have at least a day to get my lock on it, being that I live out of town, and Kelly became increasingly hostile. When I calmly pointed out that I did not need to be yelled at or scolded, much less for an issue that was their fault, Kelly literally told me I was crazy and then paused and said she was referring to the conversation. The conversation was absolutely bonkers, but I will not be paying people so they can disrespect me, the way that this individual did. I absolutely do NOT recommend this business.

This storage facility is very nicely kept and clean. They have a variety of sizes to rent and all are well protected to take care of your belongings all year round. You must provide your own pad lock so keep that in mind when it comes to your actual rental time. The property management team is very friendly and helpful. I am very happy to add that this storage facility offers on site pad lock cutting by the management should anyone lose their keys. Of course with all proper information and identification being verified before hand. And they also provide locks on site to purchase to replace that broken lock. So everything that is an incredible inconvenience can be taken care of as quickly as possible with minimal time and effort to you with expense being taken in mind. Great company with a good heart!
