Nancy from U-Haul was always very busy, but she always had a nice demeanor. Everything went smoothly with the rental, and Nancy helped me save money when I returned the rental. I will always go to this U-Haul before others.

Extra Space Storage
311 W Rossi St, Salinas, CA 93907, United States
Needing short term storage, the internet provided me local listings with extra space listed. Their address was close by so I placed the call. After a very simple 2 key strokes for the automated routing, I was talking to a real human. I explained my needs briefly and Holly answered every question very promptly and understood exactly what I needed. Then, to my great amazement, she offered me a promotional rate of a free month. Suspecting had been misunderstood, I explained again that I only needed a short term rental. And, she reiterated that I could still take advantage of the offer. I was speechless. Of course. I took the offer. She promptly made my reservation and I explained my pleasure for having received such excellent customer service. I was contacted immediately by the local firm. Edward knew exactly what I needed without having to repeat myself. Again, I was very impressed at the prompt and precise responses. I drove over and he too provided effortless service, far above expectation. In minutes, I was given the rental and shown the property.Perfectly clean, and utterly convenient. He had me enter the gate code and I was on my way.No other firm Ive dealt with has ever been so exceptionally prompt and professional. This should be a case study at Harvard Business.

Jeanette Nicely - State Farm Insurance Agent

I really can't say enough about Lisa and Jeanette. My wife and I have been doing Buisness with this agent for many years now. We are extremely happy with the service and quality insurance our Buisness, rental properties, commercial vehicles and personal property have received. Whenever we have a question or a problem, Lisa always goes out of her way to help day, night or weekends. Your not just a number or policy holder to them. Your very much like family and they do go above and beyond to prove it. We highly recommend Jeanette and Lisa to anyone. Trust us you will never be disappointed ever. Thank you Jeanette and Lisa for everything you do for us?

Enterprise Rent-A-Car
280 Mortensen Ave, Salinas, CA 93905, United States
We have rented from this Location a few times now and they have always been very friendly, courteous, and professional. The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 is the vehicle that we received. 1st it was an upgrade from what I had booked with only having to pay the difference in taxes which was super awesome, but as we were doing the initial inspection the lady mentioned that the battery in the key fob was low so we would have to hold it up to the start button when starting the car as opposed to having in the glove box/center console. No big deal right? Unfortunately that was wrong. It is not just starting the car it was unlocking the doors as well. It took way to long to unlock doors and the back hatch! Multiple attempts had to be made and it was quite cumbersome and annoying really. Then once we got home from our little get away the car kept trying to communicate w/ the key fob or visa versa and kept beeping and honking while turned off sitting in our driveway. So not cool! We called to see if they could come get it that day, we were scheduled to return it the next day, as I didnt want it beeping and honking all night and was told they did not have the staff to do that but we could bring it in that evening. We were home and unpacking and trying to get settled in and did not want to get in a car again so we just took the batteries out of the key fob till the following morning. This is definitely not the worst thing that could happen but if they know the battery is going to be an issue then change the battery for your customers. I learned my lesson too, if they mention this as a possible issue dont take it, it wasnt worth the upgrade.

MY Kia
222 Auto Center Cir #200, Salinas, CA 93907, United States
UPDATE (of review below):Over the last two months, I called the dealership multiple times and left my contact information, in order to provide the opportunity to amend the situation. There was no response. I must now conclude this seemingly professional reply to my review was not sincere and rather disingenuous. I would have been happier to just vent and share my experience, than being deceived into believing there might be a resolution after all.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In October 2021 I ordered a 22 Sorento PHEV SX Prestige. I completed the spec selection on the KIA website and emailed a link to the sales associate (Jesse), with whom I also discussed the built thoroughly.About 6 months later, I received the happy news, my car had arrived, only to find out it had been ordered in the wrong color and wrong trim. When I pointed this out, the on-site manager (I believed to be Juana) did not even bother to talk to me in person and relayed to me the dealership always ordered vehicles as specified by the customer. I momentarily contemplated to go to the eye doctor to get checked for color-blindness, but then realized Juana probably did not care if I bought the car or went home unhappy, or both. At a later phone call, while still deciding what to do, she also mentioned other customers were already viewing my vehicle.I understand we are currently in a Sellers market. Making customers feel their business is not valued (even when buying a $50k+ vehicle) and being indifferent to their satisfaction level, might work in this market environment. It will certainly not be helpful when the market shifts in the future, which it inevitably will.I came back a day later and spoke with Eli, a different manager. Eli, at the very least, spoke with me in person, acknowledged the mistake, and offered an apology. As compensation for the mishap, he agreed to match the for-cash offer I had received for my old vehicle at an independent dealership as trade-in value, saving me the hassle of having to deal with two transactions.I ended up taking the vehicle as I did not want to wait another six months. In addition, another of my vehicles had just broken down and needed to be replaced asap. The finance person was great. Before I left, I advised the sales associate to order me the Sorento in the specs I originally wanted and to send me a confirmation. That never happened either. I dont think I will follow up on that and will go elsewhere.PROS- I was able to secure a current vehicle at MSRP- Professional finance transaction.CONS- Unprofessional sales associate, who ordered the wrong color and trim- A manager (Juana), who seemed rather indifferent to my satisfaction as a customer.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salinas, an IHG Hotel
195 Kern St, Salinas, CA 93901, United States
The customer service here is horrible.Michelle and Katrina did not look happy to be at work and made no attempts at resolving the issues we had. Upon arrival on Saturday, 8/11 at 4:40pm we were told that the elevators were broken and wouldn't be fixed until Monday becuase they didn't get fixed today. I asked why we weren't notified of this earlier so we could find other accommodations prior to arrive. Katrina said oh I left you a message a while ago. My husband checked his phone, there was a voicemail from her at 4:32pm. First of all check-in time is normally at 3pm So, for her to call us at the time she did, it was rude and meticulous. If we'd known about the elevators we would've canceled and found another accommodations for our anniversary weekend. But it was too late and we already drove 5 hrs with our baby. We checked the surrounding hotels and everyone was booked due to the many events and golf tournament in town this weekend. I asked for compensation, because normally when hotels inconvenience their customers there needs to be compensation. At least, when things go wrong at the other Hilton and Marriott chains that what they do. But, instead of being gracious hosts, Michelle didn't give a hoot and said You can have a snack—a bag of skittles, a bag of popcorn, a peppermint York, and trail mix were the options. Yeah, the HIE needs to retrain their customer service reps on some customer service skills. Michelle put us on the 3rd floor becuase she said that's the only floor with the king-sized bed we booked. Lugging all our luggage and a baby up 3 flights of stairs wasn't fun. When we got to our room, 305, we weren't happy with it and requested a change only to be told sorry we're booked. I thought regardless of whether you're “booked” your parking lot is empty, which means that there are other rooms that you can move us too. But Michelle and Katrina wouldn't do it.So, the issues with the room are:1. The AC/Hearer wasn't working. With a baby in tow, this is a huge problem. Babies are more sensitive to temperature changes and loose body heat easier than adults. In addition, my daughter hates blankets over her. I didn't want her getting sick. Again, the girls at the front desk didn't care.2. Most of the lights in the room weren't working, such as the night stand lights, the loveseat light, the couch light, etc.3. The bathtub had mold in it. Especially, the underside of the soap stand.4. The telephones weren't working. Neither of them! I found that out when I tried calling the front desk. The telephones in the room connected to each other. When I was trying to call the front desk from the phone on the desk, my husband heard me from the phone nest to the bed. It was odd. I had to call the front desk from my cell phone.5. The carpet is disgustingly dirty. My daughter was wearing new socks prior to entering the room; 30 mins later and her sock bottoms were black. I had to wash my sandals and wear them indoors becuase I didn't want to walk barefoot on the carpet. It made me wonder when was the last time this room was cleaned.6. When I requested extra pillows, I was told there was none. I already used the 2 extra pillows in the closet, but needed another 2. This was a first for me—a hotel running out of pillows.7. The electrical outlets aren't properly covered with the electric box exposed. This is a hazard for guests with babies and small children. It took 30mins for maintenance to fit it all, even then I was leery about the ac/heater unit becuase when it was supposedly “fix” it shut off again on us and the maintenance guy had to go restart the breaker again. During this whole time, we got no communication from the maintenance guy or the front desk. We'd requested a room change and was waiting for a response, but we were LITERALLY ignored by the front desk ladies and were stuck in that disgusting room. Overall, we definitely didn't feel like valued customers at all. We won't be coming back to this hotel and we'll inform corporate of the lack of customer service and disgusting hygiene at this place.
