Enterprise Rent-A-Car
15344 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
I went to this store April 11 to rent a car when I was greeted by a tall blonde sales person, Erica. I requested an economy car when she asks:do you live in Westminster? No, I live in Huntington BeachCan you show me proof that you live there like a payment bill?An odd question to ask but I understand that it could be policy. However, my CA license recently expired and I was going to rent on my foreign, at which point im completely refused service even after mentioning that I had a 2month rental from the same location. I told her that I will send my girlfriend which she approved. As I was leaving Erica say “sorry, DUDE.” Disrespectful.-Quick pre-context, I am a black FOREIGNER, my girlfriend is a German/white FOREIGNER. Before any assumptions are made to why I was even stereotyped, this was my outfit: Gucci glasses, ALMA MATER sweatshirt, Ralph Lauren pants, Nike slippers and name-engraved Burberry wallet custom made in London.2)My girlfriend shows up an hour later and is greeted warmly by Erica. When she provides an address Erica remarks Oh its great that you have an address. The issue here is that my girlfriend has no means of verifying that she lives in Huntington Beach since shes visiting me. Yet, Erica let my girlfriend us an address that's entirely on my name without checking.Furthermore, my girlfriend was allowed to book the car with a foreigner license (similar to mine) and a foreign prepaid MasterCard(my foreign Visa, not prepaid, was not even swiped to prove it is a credit). My girlfriend got the car.3) we went there an hour later because she did not receive a receipt. When we entered first I was not even acknowledged about my rental situation while my girlfriend is warmly welcomed. As she left Erica said she emailed the receipt but my gf said she was never asked for an email.4)Upon receipt we noticed that the deposit was $260 when I was told that the only deposit they require is $200 (after I asked if could pay double to rent on my foreign license). After which I was told that there was a lady who could not pay her deposit and the minimum Erica offered her was a $60 deposit. I am assuming that whatever that lady was missing was added on my girlfriend's deposit. Basically, accounting fraud5)Upon returning the rental on Friday I was sitting down when Erica asks me: So did you figure out your license stuff?umm,noSo how are you going to rent a car?Absolutely rude customer service. When I told I am returning the black Jeep remembers my gf name with a look of confusion. I am guessing that she was expecting “my black gf” to rent the car for me, its 2018, deal with it. Furthermore, after has already clocked out Erica gets in her car and parks right in front of the Jeep while I was taking out our personal belongings.6) Granted Tony and the other guy working there have been nothing but helpful and respectful over the phone. However, Erica's service/preferential treatment/bias is unacceptable. Little background for Erica next time you assume: you probably wouldnt guess I come from a wealthy, Ivy league family where respect is key. Never assume you are better based than solely on prejudice. Enterprise should follow Starbucks lead in providing Racial Bias Training to their employees. Disgusting.

Kelly Duong - State Farm Insurance Agent

I have been a customer of Kellys for over 15 years. At one point I had over 13 policies with her for stores I owned, personal cars, non profit insurance and my home. I got into an accident this year where I was side swiped on the freeway. I have never filed a claim like this so I called to file a claim with Kelly, my provider for over 15 years. They did not inform me that because I went through them that I would have to pay a deductible until after my car was in the shop getting fixed. They said the deductible would be paid because they were handling the claim as I did not go directly to the other party. They did not handle the claim though. Kelly and her team were very slow in answering my concerns until I was completely ignored by them entirely. The car took longer than normally due to parts being on back order or supply chain issues. She told me after a few weeks of having my rental car that I would have to pay the rest out of pocket. I asked her to call Statefarm to see if they could extend it considering the situation but instead they told me to call Statefarm customer service. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes each time I called customer service. At this point I was frustrated and again asked her office for help. They were very slow in responding and made me feel like I was alone in this, nothing like their commercials where they make it seem like you have a reliable agent there to help you in times of need. Kelly has been helpful when it was time to renew my policy all of these years but the time I needed her help she seemed too bothered to help. It has been almost 3 months since I paid over $1400 in rental car coverage for an accident I did not cause. Even though Statefarm charged me the deductible they refused to help me get this issue resolved. I informed Kelly that I was in a very tight financial situation and really needed her help and her response was This will be my last communication regarding this matter. I am saddened by her lack of empathy in a time of need when I have been a loyal customer for so long. Needless to say, I am actively looking for another provider at this point. If you are looking for a provider please consider how Kelly treats her loyal long term customers before thinking of being represented by her and her team.
Katelynn Nguyen - State Farm Insurance Agent
9938 Bolsa Ave Ste 111, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
I'm never a fan of all type of insurances i always has mixed feelings about visiting them. However, my mind is completely changed when I got here. Not because everyone here is super friendly and welcoming, the services they provided are superb. The way that explain things are so professionally that I actually learn more not only about the insurance for my auto as individual but to a larger scale of insurance knowledge as well. Further more, whenever I call back to their office, they're always be there to listen and explain things to me. It's fundamental belief that you know your agent will be there at the moment you need them the most. Enough said of me.When you need to have a reliable, friendly, trustworthy, fast service place to purchase insurance, dont hesitate to visit them. I promise they wont let you down.
Westminster Mall
1025 Westminster Mall, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Although this mall appeared to be suffering an economic downturn, it seems to be re-inventing itself as a family-friendly hangout for kids of all ages. Its got all the fun anime, gaming, and comic type merchandise stores that our family loves including Small Wonders, Rolly Polly, Koko, Tokyo Lifestyle, Bon-Bon, Book-Off, and Gamestop. The mall also has a Skyzone, and Johns Incredible Pizza is coming soon too!The Westminster Mall has a descent food court, but if youd like better food without a higher price, heres a tip - you can get takeout from the Luxe Seafood Buffet and eat it at the food court. The kids in our family still prefer the food court (either the Chicken California from Charleys Steakery or a sandwich from Burger King), so everyone gets what they want.As far as shopping, Macys is about as high-end as it gets at this mall, which is fine with me. The convenience of Target makes Westminster Mall a no-brainer if you have to combine shopping for what you want with buying what you need.It should be noted that there are a few parking spaces designated for electric vehicles (see photo). Unfortunately, there is no parking structure at this mall, just an outdoor parking lot, so be sure to use your sunshade.
Pep Boys
15221 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Pep boys, not many think they’re that great of a shop or it’s just tire work, I beg to differ. Long story concerning a rental car that was poorly maintained, guess who I took it to and got everything fixed and inspected by, that’s right Pep Boys. The mechanic, Robert, did an excellent job of repairing the vehicle… new brakes all around new tire and a full inspection just to make sure that I was not rolling around in a death trap cause when I brought it in that’s what it felt like(rental agency will be dealt with). The guys at this pep boys listen about your concerns and they do the job fast and right. So in closing do not be afraid to use pep boys, someone’s honesty to you may not be what you want to hear but if it’s a concern you better listen, in other words they’re not breaking stuff to fix it or some crazy thing, they’re being honest and can show you the issues at hand then it’s up to you to fix it.
Arte West

This place seems like a great place to live at. The management responds to you promptly at the beginning, but once you sign the paperwork, they completely change in behavior.Back in August, I visited the Charlie and signed the paperwork for my apartment. I was charged $198.5 in total, $45 of which was for the application fee, $3.50 of which was for the service charge, and $150 of which was for the administrative/holding fee. The $48.50 was non-refundable; however, as stated in the addendum, the $150 was refundable, should the Charlie not approve you. I was in a weird case because I was accepted at first. I submitted all the paperwork as requested, but the Charlie wouldnt accept them because they were in SGD, not USD, although I clearly had enough funds to pay rent for multiple apartments simultaneously. The foreign currency was because I am international. I have never had this problem at any other location, and I have lived at the University Town Center (Irvine Company), Kelvin Court, and Toscana (Equity Apartments).I asked them to refund my $150 because they were not only making it virtually impossible for me to move in, but they were also starting to avoid my calls at one of their numbers and were barely answering my emails. Every time I talked to them in person, I would be told that they had to confirm with management first, but never got any response. I decided to take it to the bank and set up a dispute. Unfortunately, all the documents were in their favor because I had no evidence that they wouldnt approve of me. Im not sure if this was a way to scam applicants, should they not approve their paperwork. I lost $200 and gained lots of stress, especially since I was on the verge of being homeless (thankfully, Toscana took me in like a day). Not a huge amount of money, but definitely money I would not have wanted to hand to this company.Definitely do not recommend this apartment for internationals, if your funds are from abroad.
