Enterprise Rent-A-Car
1956 Auto Park Way, Escondido, CA 92029, United States
Yeah! Enterprise finally resolved my issue. I updated from 1 to 3 stars because I did have to work harder than I should have to get it resolved, but when I finally got in touch with Kristen Mims, the area manager, she immediately took care of it and honored the price that I had been quoted on the phone. I did have to make several phone calls and send a few e-mails and be assertive about things to make it happen, but it did, and Im pleased! My previous 2 review are below separated by asterixes. Gratefully, things improved for me.***To add to my previous review (what follows in brackets), as you can see, my review got an immediate response, to which I immediately responded, but my issue still hasnt been resolved and its been 2 weeks since we rented the car. I also called the customer service line and was told someone would be calling me to resolve the issue, but nobody ended up calling me. This tells me that the customer service challenges may be more systemic that I was originally thinking.***[I called Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was quoted a rate for my weekly rental that was supposed to be the rate negotiated with my insurance company. Then, when my husband went to pick up the car, he was quoted a much higher rate. Enterprise did not honor the rate that one of their representatives quoted to me. Not only that, but the person handling the rental, Christopher, was very rude in how he handled things with my husband. He allowed the car that had been reserved for us to go to another client. Then, he told my husband that they would immediately clean another car that we could use, but he allowed another car to be washed instead for another client. We were finally able to negotiate a rate that was better than what he was telling my husband (after much insistence on my part) but still didnt match the rate we were quoted on the phone. Also, when I was talking to him on the phone about the situation, he put down the phone without any explanation and failed to respond to my request (he had been talking through my husbands phone and after he essentially ignored me without any explanation, I insisted that I still talk to him). He absolutely insisted the system did not allow him to lower the rate. However, once I pointed out that another location had a lower rate quoted through travelocity, he immediately was able to lower it to match that rate. Then, when it came time to rent the car, Christopher turned the rental over to another individual, who then proceeded to quote the higher rate. As far as we can tell, this was an effort to pull a fast one and try to still rent it to us at a higher rate. My husband described Christopher as young and cocky. Clearly, Enterprise, or at least Christopher, doesnt value proper customer service and is willing to lie and evade rather than properly resolve issues.]

Before returning the track, I already refilled the fuel to make the amount of fuel as same as the fuel when I picked it up. But it still charged the fuel filling fee (I told the inspector that I refilled the fuel and showed him the receipt. He didnt tell me the amount of the fuel of the returned track was not the same as the fuel when I picked it up). In the receipt, it showed I didnt refill the fuel and charged me 9 dollars for 2 gallons. The mileage that I drove was 22 miles, and I filled 2 gallons of fuel in the gas station. I dont know what happened. I will never use U-Haul anymore.

Horrible experience. We rented a truck for me to bring my belonging from San Diego to Washington state after an over seas tour with my family. I took my own leave to make this trip and left my wife in a new home in a new state pregnant with our 4th, and a 4 yr old, 2 yr old, and 1 yr old. They gave me a truck that was not safe at all to make the trip up the coast. A few hours into my trip I blew a tire; luckily not on a dangerous road or in LA traffic. It took over 6 hours to change not only the blown tire set but the other two because they were so worn down. The mechanic said he was shocked I did not blow both at once thats how low and thin the tread was on the tires. Someone did not do their job and ensure that the truck we paid for was safe and ready for a trip up the coast. They wasted my leave time and a day of travel and not being at work to sit and wait to have the tires changed. Blown tires can happen but this was due to neglect of the store. when we call the store to tell them the situation and our disappointment in their neglect they said tires blow all the time and offered a 50 dollar coupon to use at uhaul for wasting my hard earned leave after a hard move over seas and risking my life. In the military if I was this neglectful I would not only lose my job but could be court martialed for risking another military members life. Its sad how this branch and company value not only their customers but their military customers.

Tim Giblin - State Farm Insurance Agent
133 S Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Being a local real estate agent places me in constant contact with insurance concerns whenever I manage home sales or purchase transactions. The number of insurance agencies willing to write a policy for areas with high or very high fire danger concerns is shrinking. When my own policy was dropped/terminated by a carrier to whom I had loyally subscribed for over 20 years. I shopped around for a locally respected carrier. I contacted Tim Giblins State Farm Insurance office; they were able to offer and write up a bundle offering for my familys needs, saving me over 500.00 on the same coverage I had previously on my home and car policies. One bonus attraction that appealed to me: I was informed that State Farm will not drop me ( as long as my payments remain current) as an insured client in the future, even if State Farm terminates writing new policies in my community/area. I have remained impressed by Tim Giblins attention to detail and timely communication as well as the State Farm insurance offerings and rates. If you are looking for a new carrier, I encourage obtaining a bid from Tim Giblin, our local trusted State Farm agent!

Auto Body of Escondido

2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4Matic: Absolutely stellar service!I cannot begin to express my thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of both technicians and customer service for the incredible job they completed with our vehicle. It is literally, and I mean LITERALLY, better than when we originally got it from the dealer. This repair was an insurance claim, and the entire front end was sprayed with gravel, pitted, scratched and damaged down to the metal of the car plus a broken windshield and when I tell you that the car now is perfect, it is in showroom condition. There's not a mark on it! It is unbelievable! I mentioned to Alex R. at The beginning of this process that the vehicle is a lease, and it was originally a birthday present for my partner and is extremely well kept both inside and out and under the hood. Alex took those comments to heart, and made sure that every single detail, every bezel, every piece of chrome, even hand polishing the headlights, turn signals, the flange around the grill… Every piece of rubber and plastic, is exquisite. There is no evidence of overspray there isn't even the ‘paint smell' lingering so commonly overlooked from body shop work. No evidence of any work having been done to the vehicle. This app only allows a 5-star review; they deserve 7! I'm leaving other reviews that only allow 10 stars, they should have 12! I cannot recommend them enough; we needed a rental car, they arranged it. We couldn't bring the rental car back, he volunteered to take it back for us to the rental car agency. We couldn't pick up the car on the day that it was done he volunteered to come in on Saturday to get it back to us. It's above and beyond customer service, exceeding our every expectation. Thanks again Auto Body of Escondido, job well done!

Fix Auto Escondido
656 Metcalf St, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Poor customer service, longtime repair and very shady businessI got rear-ended on Jan 15th, contacted my insurance ( Farmers ) and they recommendedFix Auto Escondido to take my car for repair. Wish I've never done that.Claudia came out, introduced herself and explained that they would take everything apartand would give estimate of repair by the next couple days.I did not hear back from her for a whole week, then I called and she said” oh I was aboutto call you” so she explained the damage to the car and she said the estimated cost isabout $12K and would take about 15 weeks!!The insurance company covered only 20 days of rental. What was I going to do for therest of the 15 weeks? I went back and forth with her, but I got to a point that I waswasting my time as she did not understand, or she did not basically care. After going back and forth several times with my insurance company, my insuranceagent, recommended that if I could find another repair shop who could get the repairdone quicker, we could pull the car out and took it there, but since they had started therepair, nobody else would touch her.I got the estimated repair cost and time from my insurance agent which was generatedby Claudia at 2/9/2024 10:38:54 AM, $12114.02 and 94.2 hours of labor, she hasalready confirmed at that time they have ordered all the parts and have them all at therepair shop. So, I called her and asked her since they have all the parts and with the estimation of 94hours of labor, so where is that 15 weeks come from? She denied that and she kepttelling me that it was a big repair and could not be done sooner. In mid-April, they called and said the car was ready. I was not able to pick up the car tillmid-May, so I went in there, the lady behind the counter asked me to sign the paperwork and asked me to pay the deduction asked if I could see the car first. My dad and I went outside and met the general manager, he was showing us the back ofthe car and explaining of how great of a job they had done and did not look like that itwas in the accident at all and …., the second my dad went around the car and to thefront, he said “ oh we did not touch the front”.My dad noticed that the windshield was cracked, and as soon as we mentioned that, “ohwe noticed that yesterday” he said and then he was trying to say the windshield waschipped before and cracked because the car was sitting there for a couple of months.Supper shady!!!He was even trying to have me pay the deductible and take the car and send someoneinto my house to replace the windshield. I told him no and the windshield needs to bereplaced before I pay the deductible, he did not seem happy at all.I also found out that they have even tried to put an aftermarket windshield, but since theycould not calibrate it, hey had to get an OEM one. But they did not use the original rearcamera. The most annoying part was when I looked at the total repair cost, they are charging$19,211.46 for a $26,000 car. With that all being said, the car could have been total lost if they have provided theaccurate estimate at the first place, and I did not have to wait so long to get her back andit cost me over $3000 for that time being. They kept the cost at 73% so they can get themoney from the insurance company.I would stay away from these guys, and I would not recommend even consider takingyour cars there.

Quick-Dry Flood Services
2350 Meyers Ave, Escondido, CA 92029, United States
I recently had a water leak from pipes running under my 2nd floor which resulted in water leaking from the ceiling to the first floor. Started at around 4 AM. Mother in law woke me up all wet.Since this is the first time dealing with a situation like this, I got hold of the first available local plumbing company who could help stop the leak. The guys responded in like 1 hour and they called in QuickDry to help with the remediation. I started calling my Insurance company (Travelers) to file a claim. QuickDry responded in less than an hour. Insurance company asked if there is someone already contacted for the remediation and I said that the plumbers have contacted QuickDry. Note: At that time, the insurance company did not offer their own recommendation of a remediation company. QuickDry came in, went through paperwork and started their work removing all the damage, flooring etc. They setup all their equipment. Took them like 8 hours but the techs. were very professional and thorough. Due to their quick response they helped limit the damage to only the bedroom. All went well and the equipment they used (dehumidifiers etc.) were like those powerful ones. I presume the objective was to dry it off as quickly as possible. Then the trouble with the insurance company started. The insurance adjuster was refusing to pay the full amount that QuickDry had billed for. The insurance company instead sent in a company they mentioned they worked with to provide their estimate. This preferred company was based off a location that was about 100 miles away. These guys came in 3 days later for the inspection. The company came in with a quote of about 1/3 the amount. I was not happy with the way the insurance company was dealing with QuickDry. They literally refused to talk to QuickDry. QuickDry was so patient in all this. I was so confused why would an insurance company was not willing to pay for a something that would have saved them more money. If I had waited for their recommended company (100 miles away), assuming they would have responded right away like QuickDry did, I would think not only the bedroom, but my living room etc. would have been flooded. I argued with the insurance company, Not only was the insurance company adjuster and his supervisor rude, they did not even consider the fact that we had to act fast to reduce the damage which in turn saved them so much more money. Its like they were willing to allow more damage but we have to use their own preferred remediation company. Something did not smell right here. But in any case, QuickDry was awesome. They were patient during all this negotiations. They are a small local business and I would think we all would like to support them rather than a company based 100 miles away. In any case I thank QuickDry for their quick response and for doing an excellent job on remediating the flood. Lisa who I worked with at QuickDry is awesome!! Thank You for your patience and having to deal with the insurance company. I would recommend QuickDry anytime to anyone who need flood services.

Carvana San Diego
559 N Hale Ave, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA. I know during these unprecedented times, buying a car online is easier than going into a dealership. That is what I thought as well. However, my entire experience with Carvana has been nothing but a disappointment. I had been car shopping for over a month and I finally found the perfect car on the site. Very low mileage, great price, the exterior/interior that I wanted, etc. From the beginning of the purchasing process, I had a hard time connecting with agents and were on long wait times. I received different information from different agents and it took me over two weeks to finally schedule a delivery date. Carvana does not allow co signers and there was no flexibility with APRs so I had to finance through a third party and there was no mention that the third party I used, Carvana didnt accept co-signers either. Therefore, ended up signing on my own. The day of delivery, I was so excited! They dropped my car right off at my house and the delivery agent asked if I wanted to go for a test drive and so I presumed. I turned on the car and there were 26,500 miles OVER what was noted on the site and the CONTRACT I signed. I was livid. After my test drive, I told the driver and he got on the phone with carvana care. All they could offer me was $100 for their mistake. $100.00.... I decided to keep it for the 7 days to see if I could contact management to get this sorted out. I dont think they even inspect the vehicles before they take it out for delivery. Again, I tried calling but waited on long hold times. Whenever I got disconnected from an agent they never called me back after they said that they would so I had to reexplain my story again to another agent. Finally I spoke to management, all they said was this was a mistake on our end, well need to rewrite a contract for you to sign again with the right amount of miles but we cant offer you a discount on the vehicle. So then I asked if they could add extended warranty on the vehicle since now there were more miles on the car than I expected. Again, they said no due to legality reasons and told me the best option for me was to return the vehicle. Not only did they sell me a vehicle with false milage, it was a breach of contract from my initial signing, and they wouldnt even work with me to add warranty after they were in the process of rewriting a new contract. After 3 days, I returned the vehicle and did not hear from them again. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from there unless you want to deal with endless amounts of wait times and receiving potentially false car details.
