I rented this car for a trip to the bay area. From Merced I took 152 through Gilroy to San Mateo. The car did not handle hills, barely went 60mph and pulled to the left on windy roads. Took Alta mont to Merced on way home. Again the car handled very poorly on the windy hills and windy mountainous terrain. As I was returning the car to enterprise in Merced I was telling the woman at the counter about car issues, she seemed nervous about helping or rectifying the situation. I then spoke with the gentleman who rented me the car originally. He told me that there were no other comp!aints about that car. I then told him I have to rent another car on 10/5/17 and said I would lime to use Enterprise in Merced again if I could possibility get a discount on this rental or on next rental and he said he could on help me so I said I would have to goto another car rental agency in Merced and he snuggly said OK and I left paying full price for a car that was not in the least an enjoyable car to drive. Terrible service, I rented a truck from Sacramento to Merced, its my first time moving out of the city and renting a truck, which this location in Merced gave me the worst of my experiences and here a tall African-American woman when I get there is serving someone. Her son, approximately 3 years old, in the place, the child opened the customers pocket bag, well, she moved to grab the child, returning to tend to the customer, which was not my problem, the problem was when she helped me, she grabbed the keys and didnt say a word, she went out to the parking lot and me and my daughter followed her She looked at me with an attitude and said why are you following me? stays inside. My daughter replied, You need to talk more. When she returned inside to the waiting room, she started yelling at my daughter so much I was Olmost call the police because I was thinking she was a danger person how she was acting . She hit the desk screaming super loudly and her son in her arms looked at her scared and screamed. Her son had the keys to a rental car in his hands and waking around when she put the truck in. She put her son in the truck without any protection and she drove inside. The truth is. Its not my fault that her son stresses her out at work, its the worst. Place from dropping off the rental truck hope this place dont get sued for extremely dancer with kids and crazy people working there ?

Courtesy Rent A Car is so close to the airport, and shuttle you to and from your flights! They have a great selection of cars for extremely reasonable prices. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and they have mileage packages and specials for any trip needed! They will answer all of your questions and explain everything in detail. You dont even need a credit card to rent! I used a prepaid debit card just fine. I would never even think of renting from anyone else.

This is the place were we rented the 10 footer to go to CA to pick up my daughter and come back.Everything when well on the way to Merced but on the way back after we pass the hills the engine light came and we call for help. We did what they suggested but the light was on all the way back to Mesa, AZ. We turn the car in still with the engine light still on. But it did the purpose it was made to be. Thank you for your service.4 women we all made safely home.

There are some great things about this place, including prices that are really nice, and good availability considering that this was the only car rental place open in Merced during New Years Eve. However there is one major point where this place falls short, and thats in its reliance on credit to actually rent a car.My experience trying to rent from here was an easy online reservation process, wherein price of the rental was agreed upon, as well as the model of vehicle and time for which I would be renting (you can choose when to pick it up and when to drop it off using a dropdown menu). It was very easy to lock in all the details and arrange for copies to be sent to my email.Prices were actually very agreeable for the basic rentals. $41 to $52 (depending on the chosen vehicle) to rent for a day, and full coverage could be had for an additional $33. Any additional fees (taxes) were presented very clearly before checkout, so no surprises.Customer service was actually pretty decent as well. It wasnt stellar by any means, but it was okay for a budget car rental agency. There was a hiccup when I made my reservation in that they did not have any vehicles which matched my reservation, but they did call me and let me know that they would lend me another kind of vehicle (an upgrade in my opinion) for the same price, so they did work to make right their mistakes.The only real complaint I have about this place is that they require one of two things to actually rent: a great credit score paired with a debit card, or else a credit card. If youre young and just getting started on credit, this place will not be an option for renting a vehicle. However, if youre an older person with good credit, this place would be okay to rent from if you need a vehicle on holidays.

Denise Wiggins is a joke! The expectations you would want from a store manager will not be achieved here. She's on a rant talking about how she's been there 20 years but can't seem to practice good customer service. I'm seeing in these reviews that there are others having a similar experience. She had no remorse to be talking badly about her own job because the phone was ringing too much and talks so loud that everyone can hear her complaining. I'm trying to explain to her what her colleague explained to me about a specific car that would be available and her response was “well I don't know why he would tell you that because he should know better and I'm going to need to hear this from him myself and these are MY CARS and I'm telling you that it don't work like that”. Lady, I never told you to explain to me HOW IT WORKS because I don't work there and you don't need to be yelling at me. What you needed to explain was whether or not the car that I reserved would be available or not and whether I would have to wait knowing that I had already traveled back and forth several times over the last 24 hours trying to get an available rental. Seriously ridiculous. I made sure to contact customer service too to report her unprofessional behavior. There should be no reason at all that someone who claims to have been there 20 years should ever treat a customer like that. It's bad enough that people are going through a rental experience because of some form of personal inconvenience and this is not something that's needed to make it 10x worse.

After searching around for 2 days to get my college kid a renters policy, I called Torrey Moes office and spoke with Alicia, out of 11 places I called Alicia was the only person who made me feel confident in what I was purchasing, she really took the time to go over full details, I had expressed my concern with my daughter going to school in Merced and me being hours away in So. Cal. she really made me feel like ill be able to rest at night knowing if anything was to happen, my daughter will be covered, she honestly explained more than %60 of anyone elses conversation I have had calling around. 4 people had promised to send me a quote with dtails and Alicia was the only one who sent it while I was on the phone with her, today I called back and spoke with Torrey himself and he was just as great ! now I feel even better about my choice this has to be the best agent and staff up in the Merced area, Alicia if you end up reading this, thank you so much ! you rock !!!!

So for reviewing for their work first. They made my car look brand new. Changed my lights I needed to change awhile ago even and cleaned the interior even when I didn't need any work done inside.Customer service was iffy. Being one on one in person and over the phone was good. They act like they care and keep you updated on what's happening for the most part.For time. Just know if you're trying to get anything done just know you'll be waiting FOREVER. brought my car 12/27/22 and they didn't start till that Thurs/Fri. I wasn't told WHEN I would get my car and they didn't kept telling me once they get to the car (which was a couple days later) I wouldn't know. Turns out it wasn't going to be done till 12/30/22.Then they said on 12/28 that Wed my car was being painted and that coming Friday it wouldn't be ready because it was too cold for the paint to dry and to come back 1/6/23 the next Friday. Later that week I received a notice on 1/4/23 that the car would be painted. Which led me to believe they lied on the reason they extended the week.I text one of the ladies keeping me updated asking if the car would be ready. No update. Turns out I found out she was gone for 2 days from her boss the next day.Friday comes and I call with them ONCE AGAIN letting me know I was coming in with a male telling me the car “should be ready” by noon (I called at 7:50am and had to receive the news at 9am). I let him know I'd pick it up Mon 1/9/23.Mon comes and I call again at 10am letting them know I was coming in AND AGAIN was told they needed to “put the bumper on and clean the interior because of protocol and come back again at 4pm.”As a working woman this was such an inconvenience they didn't stick to their finished time and waited till the last minute.If Caliber Collision decides to respond apologizing for the inconveniences note to you: The inconveniences were avoidable. Do better for your customers time. I found this company extremely inconsiderate for their customers daily lives. You will not be getting any future services from me.
