San Diego Kids Party Rentals
4676 Brinell St #102, San Diego, CA 92111, United States
We have used San Diego Kids Party Rentals for a few parties and have had great experiences. Making the reservations was easy via their website and when I had a few questions, I received all the answers I needed via phone. We rented their kid size tables and chairs for our sons 2nd birthday party at a park. The chairs are not folding chairs which was very important to me since I nearly lost a finger in a folding chair at that age. Delivery and pick-up were right on time and the tables and chairs were clean when they arrived. This year we rented the Dr. Seuss bouncy house for my daughters birthday. It was delivered right on time and was in spotless condition. Not faded at all and very clean! The set-up was amazingly fast and the delivery guys were very polite and answered our kids questions patiently. The pick-up was right on time and again was incredible fast. I will definitely rent from here again.

This past weekend my previously booked party rental company canceled my order due to overbooking. So, I had to scramble to find 7 replacement belly bar tables for a very popular company holiday party weekend. Luckily Classic Party Rentals was able to take my same-day order, but unfortunately the quality of the product we received was not acceptable. The table bases were missing the levelers so the tables were extremely unstable. Not to mention that because the levelers were missing the bottom of the bases were metal and not suitable for the hardwood floor that they needed to go on. I had to run to the hardware store last minute to fix these tables and it added a lot of stress to the evening. When I notified Classic Party Rentals and even sent them pictures of the condition the tables were in, they basically blew me off and left me high and dry. I will definitely not be renting with this company again. Next time I would suggest renting with a company that you can trust for your special event, and I definitely wouldnt trust them again.

Luxebooth.com Photo Booth Rental
4134 Adams Ave UNIT 105, San Diego, CA 92116, United States
AMAZING!! Literally the best- I totally understand why the other reviews are so praiseworthy. From our sudden venue and date change, us forgetting and cementing the template only the night before, and the day of energy and artistic touch Rick used for our Photo Booth- their patience and kindness is endless. He brought different backdrop options and helped us hang additional decor via wisteria flowers that created a beautiful effect!! Everyone was able to get a photo (even for a group of 14) and he was always on it with amazing energy. You cannot regret!!! Thank you so much!!!

Discos Paddle Surf - Kayak and Paddle Board Ren...
5000 N Harbor Dr UNIT 100, San Diego, CA 92106, United States
1/3/15Our trip to San Diego to celebrate my birthday last September wouldnt have been complete without participating in some sort of water activity. OEX Point Loma made this possible with the rental of four paddleboards for $88.00. We didnt use them for the full amount of time we had them available to us, mostly because it was a little windy on this particular September day, so paddling through the harbor took a lot of effort. The rental process and getting in/out of the water was very easy and we had fun maneuvering through the boats parked around us. It was very safe and so much fun - it was my first paddleboard experience and I love it - lots of fun and Id definitely rent from these guys again!

When you get to the shop, we get the feeling this is a family run joint. There is a tiny dog in a Hawaiian shirt sitting on a bed. But don't approach, he's not friendly. (Especially to children, he really hates children) waivers are signed online, which is fast and great. The tweens that run the shop of polite but still in training so besides them escorting you down to the gate that goes to the dock, the offer no help or information. When you get to the dock, the yell to the staff below what you will be doing there, but they don't really wait for any acknowledgement or confirmation of understanding, so don't expect those guys to know what you need. You could tell them anything, they would have no idea.Even if you're on time for your booking you may still have to wait 30 minutes or more once you're on the dock to get into your kayaks, we did. There was a group of summer camp kids getting outfitted and trained for there outing before us, so the shop really does nothing to time out there excursions. As we waited a long line of guests cued up behind us.Now, if you think it was just bad because we were behind a large group-maybe partially, that's why I gave 2 stars instead of just one. The life vests we used were ill suited for kayaking, and super tattered. The one my daughter wore was totally sun baked, ripped, and huge holes on it. The one my son wore was in better condition, but was way too small. Because of the large group, there were no youth sized paddles left, so rowing for my two kids was much tougher than usual. The paddles we did get were bent and cracked and very disappointing. Now, it was our turn in the water, and the 16 year old boys helping us out were obviously flustered and busy so I will give them a little pass. BUT- they didn't give any of us any instructions on where to go, ideas of where to head for, warnings about the wake or the channel, nothing-even when I asked! They just set us in the water and we were off.All of the kayaks in the website are photos of SIT IN kayaks. So we prepared and dressed for that type of day. BUT all the kayaks that we saw on the dock, including the set we ended up taking out that day were SIT ON. This was super frustrating. Especially considering the kind of water you face when you're out there. Even in the no wake zone the boats are going over 10 and it was a matter of minutes before we were all soaked, so if you come, prepare with a suit, towels, etc.As for the bay itself, it's really beautiful, and if you're outfitted properly and given any kind of instructions you will love it. There are a couple of beaches you can reach without too much trouble and it's so much fun. I however will go out with a different company next time I go.

When I rent equipment, I expect it to be properly maintained and in usable condition. The compactor I rented was neither. Smoking, impossible to start, ran for 10-30 seconds then stalled. HD was belligerent in their handling of the issue. Honda 4-stroke motors are bullet-proof, yet they do wear out. This unit I suspect was filled with mixed fuel or the motor is simply worn out and oil is getting past the rings; regardless this unit should never have gotten out the door. They blamed it on too much oil on the filter, then it needed an oil change, then they blamed it on the new guy putting the wrong fuel in it; total amateur hour.

Advanced Test Equipment Corporation
10401 Roselle St, San Diego, CA 92121, United States
We had 2 metering projects for customers and rented equipment from ATEC. The equipment arrived in good condition with all cabling required and the collection of data went smoothly. I made a mistake when downloading the data off of the equipment. I was aware of the software version I needed to use and mistakenly used an outdated version causing corruption of the amperage readings. Completely my mistake.THIS IS WHERE ATEC SHINED!!!!Upon realizing the error, I placed a call to customer service to see if it was possible to intercept the meters prior to being received and wiped. This was a major oversight on my part and I feared the worst as it came to my career. I was connected to Mr. Irving Colindres. He listened to me in my panicked state and immediately went to work to see what he could do.Their policy states that the equipment will be purged of data upon receipt and 1 of 2 of the jobs had been received 10 days prior to speaking with Irving. Although those meters were unrecoverable, he did note that they had not yet received the 2nd set. Irving made sure that I had his direct extension and marked my order to be received with special care so that he could save the data for me using the proper version of software.Mr. Colindres went above and beyond in providing customer service outside of his required duties and had the files emailed to me a day earlier than he originally stated. His professionalism was impeccable from one IT guy to another even in the face of my mistake. Nothing required him to personally assist me and Im sure he had plenty of other tasks to work on. Irving single handedly helped me save a relationship with a customer and provided relief from a potentially negative career situation. As for the job that we were too late to save... ATEC quickly got another shipment crated up and sent to us within the week. We have those installed now and will be closing that job later this month. I will happily use ATEC again because of Irvings professionalism and empathy specifically and for the attention received by customer service and sales staff. Please make sure Irving is recognized in addition to the personal gift I have sent his way!

San Diego Film Equipment

I called and talked to Brandon. I had to call several times for different information, and I just want to start the review with stating how patient, helpful, and accommodating he is. If Brandon isnt the owner he most definitely cares about the customers and business the way an owner would. He was even willing to help me by being there after their official closing time since my flight didnt come in until after they closed. As Im writing this Im trying to secure auto liability for the rental of the grip van since my business liability doesnt cover auto. Knowing that I may not ultimately even be able to rent the van Brandon has still always talked to me with the utmost courtesy each time I called. I may need to come to San Diego quarterly for shoots, and I will always use San Diego film equipment for any needs based on this experience.
