U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
2054 Tapo St, Simi Valley, CA 93063, United States
They do their rentals remotely on the weekend. Their app does not work properly. They immediately charge your card, but after loading and reloading our information into their app, we still can not get the truck released. Have been at it now for an hour and 45 minutes and no success. The people on the phone can not help as they say they have no ability to interface with the app. They refer you to utube video links that are no help. . We need the truck and they have taken our money. Never rent from these people, the last time we called they hung up saying they can't help.

Auto Body Unlimited
2180 First St, Simi Valley, CA 93065, United States
Jay, the owner, was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was not looking forward to dealing with the insurance adjusters at all, but he took care of all of that for me. So I took my car in and basically, Jay took care of everything else. It was one-stop, hassle-free shopping and it looked great when I picked it up. And it was actually ready when he said it would be! With so many body shops in Simi, its nice to find one you can trust that does quality work.

Jorge was awesome, as many reviewers have stated. He was very helpful & went above the call of duty for us. The U-Haul online check-in needs an overhaul since the site claims that it can cut check-in time in half, but in reality, it doubled it by making me re-enter same information again at the counter. Dumb!

Cal-State Site Services
4518 Industrial St, Simi Valley, CA 93063, United States
I highly recommend Cal-State Site Services and absolutely plan on using them at our annual event in the future. I could not be happier with the customer service, pricing, and quality. The quoting and reservation process was effortless. They were competitive, friendly, and responsive. On the day of delivery and set-up, Cal-State was punctual, efficient, and required no hand-holding. During the two-day event itself, we received countless comments from guests about how clean the restrooms were. They looked brand new. In addition, we had a Cal-State rep on-site keeping everything stocked. This was a great relief as it was one less thing to not have to manage. The rep also required no supervision and simply took initiative to ensure everything was stocked before anything actually ran out. Cal-State Site Services played a key role in ensuring our event was a success.

I wish I had not trusted this auto repair shop with my vehicle. I had 2 conversations with Ken the owner before agreeing to bring my car here. He sounded so convincing that he really knew how to fix my car. They were paid over $1300 cash and my vehicle is still not fixed. Check engine light is still on for what I brought it in for. This is not good business. It started at the beginning of April then after it appeared fixed about 150 miles later light comes back on for same code. Take it back again. Starting 5/1 they had it for 17 days straight and it would go days without being touched and little time worked on . Kept taking on new jobs and ours sat with very little time devoted to it. Poor communication with no updates. When calling for updates told Ken will call back and he never did. Kept telling him we need this car back. Had to show up on the property to find out updates which were vague. Clearly he didn't know what he was doing. Finally it dragged on for so long it was clear he didn't know how to fix but won't admit it. After doing research on our own were told by multiple mechanics all these parts (pump and 2 check valves) had to be all OEM parts or the system will keep throwing codes. He refused to put OEM for all the parts. He finally agreed to put in the OEM pump but check valves are aftermarket. Then says see I knew that wasn't the problem even though he never put in OEM valves. On day 17 of him having our vehicle we requested our money back and to put the car back together so we could drive it home. He refuses to refund our money even though he hasn't fixed our car. He did put it back together so it could be driven. This is the first time ever to have a horrible experience with a mechanic. I have delayed leaving this review hoping he would make it right. Warning to everyone beware of this shop. Communication needs to improve greatly. I sure need my $1300+ since the vehicle was not fixed and now it has to go to another mechanic for repair for the same thing . We have lived in Simi for 26 yrs and know a lot of people in the community.. He will not be getting any referrals for business from us. Ken & Paula if you read this I sure hope you will reconsider.

THIS IS MY REVIEW FROM YELP. SINCE C&M PAYS YELP TO ADVERTISE THERE, THEY MANAGED TO HAVE MY COMMENT HIDDEN:First of all, I should get a frequent drop-off award for this outfit. I recently had my 2001 325i and my 1995 Honda Civic repaired, resulting in a total cost of about $2700 after my AAA discount kicked in.BMW First Time: Dropped off the 325i because it seemed like it was not getting any fuel and stalled the night before. I told Justin it seemed like a fuel pump issue but since it was electric I wasnt sure. Justin later told me that it was a couple of vacuum leaks that were very hard to find. I thought to myself I had never experienced a complete stall out from a very hard to find vacuum leak but they must have known what they were talking about. I picked up the car and it died on me that night.BMW Second Time: Had it towed over to C&M to check out. Came by later on and was told that I ran it out of gas. They told me they put in a gallon of gas and it started right up. So, feeling pretty stupid but doubtful of their discovery, I got my car back and was told I only owe them a gallon of gas, I went to the service station, filled my car to the top and found that I was 3 1/2 gallons short of completely filling it up, which means I still had roughly 2 gallons available in my tank. Ive had this car for 11 years and know what running out of gas is like. In fact I know just about every characteristic of this car.Honda First Time: Brought over to get the water pump, passenger axle and distributor seal fixed. They gave me a free inspection and came back with quite a list of needed repairs, which included, but not limited to the driver side axle as well, and both tie-rods which would require an alignment. I told them to fix every one. Got it back a day late, no big deal, but after I got it back noticed it was veering to the right and oil was still leaking from the distributor seal. Called Justin and he said to bring it in.BMW Third Time: After I got my car back...again, I was driving with my 3- year old son and the car died right in the middle of standing traffic (Sycamore and Cochran). Had it towed again to C&M. They finally realized it was the Fuel Pump causing the problem, so 3 tows later they got it right.Honda Second Time: I brought the car in on the weekend after I reported the problem and was told I had low tires. I would have guessed that if the car was aligned, a simple low tire issue would have come to light. After I got it back, still veering right.Honda Third Time: Brought the Honda back in and they rotated the tires, saying that there must be a problem with the tires. Now the care seems to veer left and right intermittently. Not going back whatsoever. This morning I heard a loud rattling under the hood of my 325. I popped the hood only to notice they never tightened the screws on my engine cover when they worked on my car. Is this going to end?

Now Im not a member of the elks, but have had the opportunity to come here on numerous occasions. Im not sure if membership is a requirement but if you want a nice quiet place for a drink look no further, reasonably priced and like I said a nice quiet place. They do have hambuer dinners and other events monthly and yearly. My wife and I actually rented the little dining room for our daughters sweet 16, again not a member but the help and prices were very good. Check out the Simi Valley Elks Lodge. And who knows you may just find yourself wanting to be a member.

Simi-U-Rent
2054 Tapo St, Simi Valley, CA 93063, United States
Well, we're never going to Simi-U-Rent again. We rented a piece of machinery to get our fence posts out so we could put up a new fence. The concrete was light enough that my fiancé could lift it, but the hydraulic arm on the dingo we rented bent. Probably because the damn thing is as old as dirt.My fiancé did the right thing, told them what happened, and asked if we could have a pro rated rental for something else so we can finish the job. The owner refused to rent anything further to us and was awful about the whole situation. Thankfully we were able to get a partial refund because we weren't able to get to the parts that used the other equipment we rented.I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from there to find another place. Their customer service is god awful and the machines will only work for an hour or two after you've paid for a day.
