U-Haul of Sunnyvale
939 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94086, United States
I hate this place, we need a negative rating to accurately score these folks. If there was a competitor who offered the interstate rental option with trailers I would use them... I/we consumers have no alternative option when comes to this service. Their reservation team is a joke, no one can resolve anything or answer basic questions.

Extra Space Storage
106 Lawrence Station Rd, Sunnyvale, CA 94086, United States
Extra Space operates on a business model of offering low rates upfront, then raising them as soon as they know it would be inconvenient for you to vacate the storage space. They used to wait 5-6 months before a first increase, but now they wait only a few months - I rented in mid-May and they doubled it in July. Not only did they double the rent, the new cost is higher than any published rate they currently have (including walk-ins) - so its not a market-adjustment its a we know its easier for you to pay double or triple what we promised than to vacate adjustment. By law theyre supposed to notify you in writing 30 days in advance, but Ive never received a notice in the mail for any storage unit Ive rented from them - and I have to ask why they wouldnt email as well? That would be very simple for them to set up in their system; it seems they dont want you to know its increasing - probably especially if youre on auto-pay, and maybe also because its impossible for the customer to prove a notice in the snail mail was never sent...?If you really need a storage unit, dont be mislead by their teaser rates. Take the rate theyre allegedly offering, multiply by 2.5 (at least) to account for the increases, and multiply for the year, because realistically once youve moved your stuff to their unit, you will put off completing the move for so long youll probably forget what you have in storage anyway. So if they offer $100/month, figure $250 x 12 (later increases are typically higher so average 2.5x) and plan for the $100/mo storage unit to cost you about $3000 by the end of the year, *plus* the cost of moving your stuff twice (into and out of the unit), plus the cost of either going to and from your unit, or worse, replacing items that you actually need because theyre too far away to access, the time youll lose, and then decide whether it really makes sense to use a storage unit.If you do absolutely need a storage unit, be sure to get a price commitment - in writing, on your contract - for x number of months from the manager.
Catos Tacos Food Truck
1255 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, United States
Its a no for me. I came here on my lunch break since it had good reviews expecting something decent. Plus it was almost $9!I ordered a vegetarian burrito and there was one order in front of me. It took about 20 mins and the guy in front of me only ordered tacos.I was thinking well this must b good if I have to wait this long for them to wrap some veggies.Once receiving my bag I checked and had to ask for chile, still optimistic.Went to my work van and all the burrito had was rice beans and what I guessing was nopales? No avocado? Really? Im not into nopales.Maybe things are different here but Im not a fan.Gave a 2nd star since at least the ingredients were fresh but didnt hit the spot and took almost my whole lunch break
Public Storage
1060 Stewart Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, United States
I went in on Saturday based off of the units displayed as open on their website. I arrived at 1:55pm and the rep was helping an older gentleman. She kept looking at me as I walked up but said nothing. So I said hi first and asked to speak about renting a unit. She said, “it will be one minute while I finish with him “. At 2:14pm I went in and asked her how much longer since she told me it would be 1 minute and I'd been waiting patiently for 20 mins!!!! They said they're finishing up. When they were done I showed her the print out of what's online and asked where her 5x5 is located. She then said well that would depend. I asked depend on what? She said well I don't know which one you would reserve. I said I'm telling you clear as day right now, a 5x5, but only if it is close to an entrance. She continued to be very difficult and had an incredibly lazy demeanor about her. I then said, ok what about another size, which one is by an entrance? All she said was it would all depend. I asked her how do you rent a unit to someone when you can not answer even 1 of their questions?! She did not bother to help me at all. Her name badge was sloppily displayed so I could only read the last few letters ‘dra'. I had just wasted 25 valuable minutes of my life! I work in healthcare trying to keep people like this safe, and I get treated with this level of disrespect! So I left and rented at Extra Space Storage instead!! Beautiful facility and very helpful employees!!!
Tesla Collision Sunnyvale
1235 Elko Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94089, United States
I had an excellent experience at the Tesla Collision Center in Sunnyvale.Hal at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and managed to secure an earlier appointment for my vehicle repair when a slot became available. Luis, the estimator, went above and beyond by arranging a rental car for me.He coordinated with the front desk to get everything sorted out smoothly. Their exceptional service and attention to detail made the entire process stress-free.
Wheel Works
1291 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, United States
The shop used to be my go-to place for tires (25 years, for all my 4 cars). No longer. The last two visits would indicate that the shop deteriorated both in workmanship and service to the point it should be avoided.First bad experience in December 2023. Job was 4 tires replacement. Got notified in the afternoon that job is behind schedule and agreed to leave car overnight. Next day noticed a loose wheel lug nut due to a striped lug. Was told ordering a replacement lug would require another day. Went to a local parts shop and bought lug and brought over. Still required another day. Next day was informed they failed to replace the lug. (Took car to independent mechanic who replaced while I waited.)Second bad experience in February 2024. Had to leave the car overnight for tires' replacements (In both cases I had a confirmed appointment and arrived on time before noon).Picked up the car next day and low tire pressure warning sign was on. Drove back to shop. Was told to drive until the light will turn off. Told them I already drove over 10 miles. Technician told me he noticed a bad TPMS a day before, but shop DID NOT TELL ME. Asked to replace the TPMS, but shop did not have them in stock (it's a tires shop???). Was told they will order one and call me within 2 days. Well, they did not. (After 4 days went to another shop and got a new TPMS).During those visit, since they were multi-days visits, I noticed that front desk service people were never the same. A new person each time so lacking continuity.Shop should be avoided.
Quality Inn Santa Clara Convention Center
1280 Persian Dr, Sunnyvale, CA 94089, United States
If I could give this place a zero stars I would. Stay away if you can. Talking to the front desk was a nightmare. We booked for five nights at this hotel and needed to leave early for personal reasons. I had spoken to the manager the day prior to check out and she agreed to only charge me four nights. I asked her if there would be anyone present if I needed to check out very early in the morning and she said there's always someone at the desk 24/7 to assist me with the check out. I went to check out around 5am this morning and the person at the front named “Paul P” (which is most likely a fake name) MUST charge me for all five nights because it is the “quality inn policy”. I asked him the specifics of this policy and he didn't even respond. I mentioned that I had a conversation with the manager yesterday about checking out early and he completely refused to check out the room for us. He held the hotel key card hostage even though we still haven't been fully checked out. He told us that he wasn't going to deal with us and have to wait for the manager to “take care” of this issue. He pretend to say he didn't have the authority to do this process. We then said to just charge us for all five night due to the difficulties he was causing and he still refused to check out the room. He forced us to wait for at least three hours to be able to speak with the manager, clearly letting time pass by until his work shift was over so someone else would do his job that he was suppose to do in the beginning. Completely unprofessional, extremely rude, and very condescending.“Paul P” was basically trying to stealing my money because of pure greediness with no remorse. Be careful. He ruined the entire experience.
GROVE Apartments
243 Buena Vista Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086, United States
Unresponsive staff although they are nice when you talk to them in person. Responding emails after several times of repeating the same questions and after several days. Here I'm only listing the problems after signing the lease, this is just half of my complaint, the other half is the difficulty to sign the lease, which I'm too lazy to include here.Move in experience.1. I was triple confirmed by Annalyse Servin that my apartment would be move-in ready and the paint on the cabinet would be taken care of before move in date.2. At the move in date, 1 key out of 4 is not prepared, 2 keys of the 3 prepared are wrong, the only correct key was for the mailbox.3. At the move in date, the mentioned cabinet paint was not fixed, the bath shower was not functional properly, the dishwasher is leaking water (even though it looks new). Check my photos.4. Shower function is fixed on the 4th day of move in after several times of reminding including visiting leasing office in person. But still remaining some unfinished shower related work (check my phones).5. Even after submitting emergency request and several times of reminding through emails, the paint and dishwasher have not been fixed until now (7th day after move in). I'll keep counting the days.- Update: On the 11th day, dishwasher has been fixed after multiple times of reminding.6. Called emergency phone number regarding dishwasher leaking, but no one answers the phone.- Update: see item 5.7. I was confirmed by Annalyse Servin that the parking gate remote would be provided on the day of move in, but we still do not receive the remote until now (7th day after move in). They said the system was not working on the day of move in, but why not have the remote prepared earlier? Why hasn't the system been fixed until now (7th day after move in)? Why hasn't the leasing office respond our multiple emails?- Update: On the 11th day and after four times reminding leasing office, we received only 1 remote. Still waiting for another one.-Update: the 2nd key was promised to be delivered by end of 12th day, but only after another reminding on the 13th day, we were able to receive it on about 6pm I that day.8. I was provided with the registration code (resident ID) for community online portal (my wife already has her login setup when signing the lease), but their online portal system cannot accept my registration and always says my input is not correct.- Update: On the 8th day, online portal has been set up after complaining to leasing office, they required a different email of mine to register.9. Check the photos of washer machine, would you call it cleaned? Would you call it move in ready?Question remains:1. When can they get all these solved?2. Are we gonna get any compensation for this experience? Please stay tuned.Update: By the end of 13th day, after numerous email and in person reminder, they have fixed the reported stuff, and provided all missing items, no compensation so far.
