U-Haul Moving & Storage of Pasadena
552 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105, United States
We went to this U-Haul location this past week because were moving, which is weird on its own due to the current pandemic. LA has a requirement that people wear masks as a precaution to prevent spreading the virus. When we went inside to get moving supplies one employee was barely wearing his mask properly, which Im not thrilled about, but Im not going to complain seeing it was more or less on right. When he asked us what we needed we told him we had a corporate certificate to cover supplies and he directed us to another employee. This employee, unlike his colleague, was wearing his mask around his chin, so I politely asked him to put his mask on. He pulled it up a bit more and told me it was ok because were 6ft apart, but the tone of this statement was clearly: Go screw yourself. Even after explaining that I have asthma and other autoimmune disorders he ignored me and made the situation as awkward as possible. As he tried to figure out what we were trying to pay with and how to enter it in the system he made a comment about how Art Center, the art school down the street, would handle it, which again was clearly a jab at us. I get students might not be the easiest to deal with at times, but you are near to major colleges (Caltech is down the street) cut the attitude. And to be clear we arent student, and we are relocating because of work, who was paying for the move... not that that really makes a difference. Its bad enough you have the attitude to make low blow attacks to random customers, but to not care about spreading a virus to people at work, even after they asked because of their health issues... Even when your work clearly expects you to wear a mask and maintain social distance seeing the floors have stickers and tape all over them, and other protocols visibly put into place to protect both the workers and the customers. This experience was rather annoying, and now I have to further worry about my health because of this employees refusal to do something as simple as wearing a mask. I dont expect anything from the employee, its clear that he will never wear a mask, and I really hope that doesnt catch up with him, but I do expect the management of this location to do something.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Pasadena
3559 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Worst customer service experience ever.I had made a reservation for a U-Haul truck last week beginning of Tuesday, May 23rd. I was told by the U-Haul truck rental department that since it was a one-way trip, I could get a free months worth of U-Haul storage! I didnt hesitate to sign-up!I downloaded the app and reserved a storage unit at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Pasadena, since it would be close to where I needed to store my items. I reserved a 5x8x10 storage unit online and it was reserved on my account. Unfortunately the app does not allow you to update the reservations you have for storage because it requires an administrative team member to change it. I had to keep pushing the date, because I had reserved the storage unit ahead of time and I would call U-Hauls customer service team to constantly change the reserved date.I was planning to register the storage unit that was reserved in person when I got there with the truck.Come to find out, after driving for 4-hours from where I was moving from, and arriving on Saturday to the new place, then taking my stuff on Monday (5/29) to their storage unit. I go into the office where I meet Julie Lugman, and she tells me she had released the storage unit and gave it to someone else. This was after they have had the unit reserved up until the 28th and I was getting everything arranged for my move and I knew I would use it, but no one from her team or herself ever gave me a call back from her location to ask me if I still needed the unit, or if I would need an extension. Nothing. I find out when I arrive with my belongings at the storage facility and she tells me the unit has been released and there is no other unit available. All she could do was apologize and not help with anything else. I was literally left hanging, left to my own devices to find another storage facility. So I did.I walked out of her office and I went to Public Storage to get myself a unit from their company. Which was well worth it not having to deal with her incompetence or the companys lack of responsible employees.I should be compensated for the amount of the unit, I would have been given had I been given the storage unit which was about $162. If I was given this compensation back, I would be satisfied as a customer for the unnecessary trouble caused. But, oh well I guess well see if this gets any recompense. Im not holding my breath.***UPDATE***I had received a call from Ashley from the Pasadena U-Haul location on Colorado. They have apologized and compensated me with a gift card for the mishap that happened on (5/29).

Value Rental Car
2106 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
One of the worst experiences of my life. I had rented a couple of their cars for about a year. Because of extenuating circumstances, I had requested that Maryam, one of the owners come down and pick up the car when I was finished renting it.I live in Santa Monica and it was on the way back to their home. We had an appointment Monday at 6 p.m.6 p.m. came and went and I was waiting in the hot car. I called her and she told me she was going to be 30 minutes late. She could have let me know this instead of having me wait and not know what was going on... wasting my precious time. Very disrespectful. She came to pick up the car with her husband. She got in the car and I was talking to her and she slammed the door of the car that opened it and looked like she was going to physically attack me. I started to walk away from her because I didnt want an altercation. And I didnt want to be physically hit and have to sue her. She started calling me names and was screaming and yelling at me like a crazy person. Very unprofessional and very low class. I was in shock. I didnt stoop to her level and I just said, Have a nice night.I was in shock. Seriously. There is something wrong with this woman. There is a screw loose, No Holds Barred.Plus without communicating that she would charge me $100 to come down to Santa Monica, she handed me a bill that said $100 is what I owe her for her coming down to Santa Monica. Throughout the whole time I rented the cars, she kept adding little charges here and there that didnt seem right and were very questionable...She also has a homeless man that she freely admits that lives at her place of business and works for her. This is not allowable in a work business situation in a business neighborhood....I would say, stay away from this business. The woman is completely unstable.

SoCal Self Storage
2581 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
THE. BEST! I do EXTENSIVE research on everything before choosing anything! This place TRULY CARES about their customers and they KEEP THEIR WORD! I had reserved a move in date and needed to change the date. He actually held the unit for me and NO other place would do that! Juan is so accommodating, empathetic, professional, knowledgeable, patient, efficient, and kind! I had a few phone calls with Mike too, and hes equally so!Compared to all the storage facilities I called to shop and compare (Public Storage, Trojan, Extra Space Storage, etc) this place is competitively (cheaper than the others) priced. The unit is clean and safe with plenty of parking. I have to drive about 25 to 30 mins (on a good day) to get here but its worth the peace of mind.Juans commitment to the highest level of customer service is to be commended! I hope that his hard work and dedication is acknowledged and rewarded!

Arroyo Parkway Self Storage
411 S Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena, CA 91105, United States
This place is awesome. Before deciding on Arroyo Parkway Self Storage, I looked at most of the self storage facilities in Pasadena and surrounds. Nothing compared to these guys.Arroyo Parkway is safe, clean, and really secure with very helpful, very friendly staff. I was worried about renting a unit on a non-air conditioned floor, but the old solid concrete building remains cool year-round. Another plus is that its close to Whole Foods if you need a lunch break!!PROS: Safe, clean, wide hallways, plenty of big wooden carts to move stuff from your car to unit, secure parking, friendly staff, near Whole Foods, real loading dock for larger moving trucks to unload, sometimes they have discounts on first three months rentalCONS: Evening access hours limited - only open until 7p Mon - Sat and and until 4:30p on Sunday. Ive just learned to work around that.Overall, I highly recommend Arroyo Parkway Self Storage. Now if I can just get rid of the stuff I have stored there, Id be in good shape...

Manibog Law PC

In 2009, I was rear-ended while stopped on a red light on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. The collision itself was minor primarily because my car was a Porsche Cayman and it took most of the beating. The car that rear-ended me was an Audi. I had back surgery a couple of years ago, and the accident aggravated the back and neck pain that I had endured for many years. I was off work for 3 days (as a lawyer myself, any longer time off would have been career suicide), and the insurance company was surely going to take my claims lightly....Thank God that Darren Manibog took on my case in a heartbeat! Highly recommended by colleagues and peers alike, Darren kept my anxiety levels low and settlement monies high by his excellent case management skills (legal fees and costs were reasonably low), sharp legal mind and strategic negotiation with the opposing partys attorneys. I very much appreciated his expert opinion on the likelihood of success with my case and he calibrated my expectations of the outcome so well. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, my case was a challenge because of the lack of visible physical damage and severe injuries, but Darren kept up the fight and persevered in nailing down every single detail of my claims, expenses and diligently prepared me for deposition and settlement proceedings. Darrens staff was also very professional and courteous at all times, and it felt awesome to be represented by someone like Darren who is so high energy, brilliant and personable to his clients. All I had to do was attend my physical therapy sessions and make sure that I recovered. There are lawyers and then there are lawyers. Darren is a Lawyers Lawyer. His practice is top notch in my book and I have since recommended him for all my clients, friends and acquaintances. My actual settlement was over and above what I had expected, and what a bonus! Thank you Darren!

RusnakPasadena Jaguar
337 W Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105, United States
Last week, I located a specific model of the Jaguar F-Pace (2017 First Edition) at Rusnak/Pasadena Jaguar. This is an uncommon edition as there were a limited number produced and only in that specific first year of the vehicle.I first spoke with the General Manager of Rusnak/Pasadena Jaguar who passed me off to the Internet Manager (Abraham Kolandjian). After a couple conversations by phone and text, I agreed to meet with Abraham at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 11th to come purchase the vehicle with financing already approved by my bank. So I proceeded to drive up to Pasadena that day. This isn't a Ford or Kia dealer. This was a 3 year old, special edition vehicle, being sold for close to $50,000.00 that I was willing to purchase outright and directly from a Jaguar dealership. I knew what I wanted and even offered to buy the car sight unseen from Abraham because it was a CPO and I trust the inspection process and warranty, but he insisted that I come see the vehicle before purchasing, so we made the appointment.About two hours into my drive, Abraham calls me to tell me that the car has been sold and the clients are in the financing department as we were speaking. This is about an hour before our scheduled appointment. He didn't apologize or show any remorse for selling the car he pulled out of a storage lot for me to purchase. This specific, rare edition I was looking for. Yet he blindly stated ‘Oh, it's no problem, I have 6 other F-Paces on the lot.' Unbelievable! The reason provided to me was that a customer came to the lot that day to look around and Abraham had ‘taken the car out early in the morning' for our visit. The other customer then randomly saw the car, that he or she would not have seen if the car had been reserved for our appointment properly, and the car was being sold as we were speaking. An hour before our appointment.Obviously upset and two hours into a drive to purchase a specific, CPO model edition that is not available anywhere else in a 500 mile radius, I called to speak to the General Manager again to discuss this matter. His new (and completely different) version of the story was that someone found the vehicle online, scheduled an appointment to buy it, and just beat me to purchasing it. He told this completely different story while telling me in the same conversation both that this rarely happens and was tough luck but also that this happens all the time. Basically, just too bad for me and there's nothing he can do about it while talking out of both sides of his mouth. The General Manager stated ‘There's nothing I can do, California law says I can't turn a customer away,' without citing this law. Not only is there no law I can find like this, I've actually been on the other end of this situation myself when an honest Mercedes-Benz General Manager told me I couldn't purchase a specific new C-Class edition until it had been shown to a woman who had scheduled an appointment for it that day already because it was on hold and they honor their commitments. So I waited until that evening and she didn't buy the car.. so I did and I've driven it since that day. That's how this is supposed to work. That's how customer service at a high-end automotive company works. They honor their commitments to clients. Rusnak/Pasadena Jaguar simply does not.I also don't know what story created here would be worse.. that a random customer was allowed to purchase a vehicle that was set aside for me on a specific appointment time, or that another customer scheduled an appointment for the vehicle prior to mine and I was not notified until driving two hours through traffic. That's either willful ignorance or a complete lack of integrity. Neither is acceptable. If you need a vehicle, don't give your business to any Rusnak dealership. This is obviously an accepted practice by ownership and management. There are plenty of other options who will treat you and your time with respect. Use those options instead of Rusnak

RentReporters
87 N Raymond Ave Suite 522, Pasadena, CA 91103, United States
I got ZERO credit boost for reporting the rent history. Whats worse is that the communication between the account specialist and my leasing office was really ineffective and inefficient. It took almost a month for them to figure out the leasing office is not able to sign the agreement for reporting to Equifax. However, they did not want to issue a refund for me even though I requested it within 48 hours of my Equifax report was updated. They claimed that the refund can only be processed within 48 hours of the first report updated. This means that if you have multiple landlords, you are unlikely to get any refund when you are still waiting for all rent history gets reported.I had multiple conversations with different departments of them. Finally got them agree to refund me. But if I would choose again, I will not use this service. Rental Kharma provides 90 days for refund. I think that is more fair. So watch out if you are considering using this service.===================Update: 11/16/2019The company replied below. So wanted to give clarifications. Dont want to be framed as a unreasonable customer.1. The key issue of the ineffective communication is that they didnt notify me when they fail to get response from my leasing office. It turned out to be that I took multiple initiatives to ask them. They also didnt reply to my leasing office once they replied.During the whole process, the most communication emails are like automatically generated spam emails with the same/similar contents. This is not a good way of communication.2. The terms of use does not say that the first trade line to TransUnion is the 48 hour refund period basis. FAQ says the tradeline part, not the first ever. Again, if you have multiple landlords, you are likely to pass that 48 hour refund period. In FAQ, they also dont mention about the situation when the reporting failed.3. I am not someone who wants to take an advantage of a service without being willing to pay. I am totally fine if the refund is partial, or if they have been communicating clearly the refund period is such a short time. The only reason I came to leave a review is that I think the refund (which is part of the marketing strategy they have) is not working as they claimed to be.4. Also, given that the public reviews are mostly positive (which made me want to try), I think it is important to let people another perspective so that future people can make better choices. My friend who I recommended the service encountered exactly the same situation with zero boost and our credit profiles are very different. So it is likely many other people may not get boosts as well. This is what I wished to know when trying a service.5. If I got a refund without the battles I have been through, I would have kept recommending the service to others. In one of the conversations someone told me they work hard and those money are used to pay for their salaries. I do appreciate all the people who worked on this, and I treat this more like a policy, marketing strategy, and communication failure. I dont think that should be used as a reason why I should be responsible for the mistake the company made. I also work hard for my job, and so as many people in the world.6. I think some of the text on the agreement and the website are outdated since it looks like it was only for one report (they said they used to only work with TransUnion). Again, my case may be partially due to the confusion coming out from these outdated text.I hope the company will take my case as a true customers feedback than merely an unreasonable customer who made an emotional comment here (I spent so much time writing this comment and did a few analyses on the website). I truly hope such services can get better and help more people. Good luck.

Honda Of Pasadena
1965 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
I had been shopping around at different dealers for a 23 HRV Sport so that I could do a trade in of my current Honda. I spoke to Ivan the internet sales manager and he had been the first and only manager I had spoken to from all the Honda dealerships in SoCal that actually was honest, transparent and flexible with me. I'm not joking or lying when i say i had called ALL the Honda dealerships in LA and San Bernardino county!! Not to mention, he also was NOT pushy and that made me feel 1000% comfortable to drive far to come in and make this deal happen. ( i live in San Bernardino which is like 50 miles/ 1 HR Drive ) I got a honest and accurate trade in value for my current Honda which is what I was looking for. In addition, Ivan also gave me a full breakdown of the price, fees, state fees etc. and also made sure I got the best interest rate! I moved onto working with the insurance staff and the young lady who assisted me was so kind, and patient with me, I was very pleased! After that, I worked with finance, and Danny is the best finance employee I've worked with at a car dealership! He was NOT pushy about anything and he made sure to explain all the numbers and specs of my contract along with add ins etc. Danny is super patient, explained everything throughly, answered all my questions AND was super nice and funny! After finance I was helped by Kira who went above and beyond for me, he unscrewed my old license plate cover from my trade in (it was my alumni plate cover so it was important to me) and asked me if I wanted it on my new car, and he put it on for me. He also made sure to check in a few times and ask if I needed to go and get any items from my old car to the new one. He even double checked and made sure. Then Kira took me out to see my new car and showed me how to use the alarm system, downloading the app for the alarm on my phone. He also spent time in showing me again how to use the different specs on the car and how to change things on it as well. Then, I went home in a brand new car!! Overall 10/10 experience with EVERY single person at this dealership. I do not have a single complaint of any employee who assisted me. They were all excellent! The process was so easy, fast and honest, I truly felt they all wanted what was in my best interest and worked hard to give me the best which I did. I will definitely come back, and recommend all my friends and family looking to buy, lease, trade to come in and take a look. Thanks again Ivan, Danny, Kira!! You guys are the best!

Unicar Auto Body
1685 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91106, United States
I got into an accident and had substantial damage to my front bumper, hood, lights, windshield, and roof. I filed a claim with my insurance and decided to schedule an inspection with Unicar Auto Body. Ive never filed a claim with insurance or had to get my car fixed at an auto body shop, but Unicar made it extremely easy! They were easy to work with from the moment that I called to bring my car in. They let me bring it in anytime during working hours which I did. I had no idea that when I took it in I was going to hand my car over to begin repairs. Upon arrival, they called for a rental car pickup, which they worked through with my insurance, and assured me they would repair all damages. The process was extremely easy! I was in and out of there and picked up my rental car in no time. A week later my car was ready. I dropped of my rental car and got a ride back to the shop. I was worried on how it would turn out as Ive heard many horror stories of other auto body shops through friends and families. However, my car looked and was in amazing shape! All damages were fixed and the car was practically brand new. I did a very detailed inspection and couldnt even even tell that my car was previously hit. I couldnt thank Unicar enough for doing an amazing job. Extremely happy to have my car back in such a quick turnaround and amazing condition. Car was even washed and detailed which I greatly appreciated. I really appreciate Unicar for making the process extremely easy and in how kind they were through the entire process. Its good to have a body shop I can now always rely on going forward
