Mission Valley Ford Truck Sls
780 E Brokaw Rd, San Jose, CA 95112, United States
Ha!I am not one for leaving reviews… but I feel like I must warn people of this place. These folks wasted almost two weeks of my time, and were completely manipulative and dishonest.I towed my van over to these guys after a spark plug blew out again 5 months after it previously happened. For a week they tried to say that it was a different spark plug so that my warranty wouldn't cover the cost. I knew they were lying as I had seen it myself before bringing it in. When I dropped the van off I also told them I knew what was wrong with it. So they misdiagnosed it trying to get out of the warranty. It was only when I asked for photo evidence that Lance finally admitted that it was indeed the same spark plug. I can prove that they knew the whole time too because they sent me a quote estimate that included the big sert fix- this kit is only for spark plugs which have PREVIOUSLY been repaired and failed. After that it took them days and days to get back to me about whether the warranty was going to cover it and came up with different excuses why the warranty wasn't going to work including saying things like, “the insert the first time wasn't a Ford part” - but there is no such thing as a Ford insert. After more BS like that, and Lance hanging up on me when he decided I was asking too many questions, I finally towed it away to a different shop which I should have done a long time ago. Please learn from my mistakes and experience and don't waste your money and energy on this place. They will deny this but I have all the proof and witnesses on all of our phone calls. Lance and Alfredo, you will be hearing from the BAR.I'm sure these guys assumed that, me being the young lady I am, I wouldn't know any better or that because I had a camper van from out of state that I was in a hurry to get it fixed and that they could take advantage of the situation.

Diamond Mitsubishi Fuso
1505 N 4th St, San Jose, CA 95112, United States
The staff are professional and know these trucks inside and out. Electrical/ electronics on the Fuso can be very difficult to diagnose or troubleshoot and most diesel mechanics are unable to access the computer functions.

U-Haul of Milpitas
2395 Old Oakland Rd, San Jose, CA 95131, United States
THIS BRANCH HAS 2.5 stars on YELPDave Daniels - General Manager of U-Haul (San Jose 2395 Oakland Rd)BEWARE OF SCHEDULING RESERVATIONS AND FULFILLING THEM AT THIS LOCATION WITH THIS GENERAL MANAGER (Dave Daniels*).SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY, STRESS AND ORDER A POD OR GO TO PENSKE, RYDER ETC. ANYWHERE BUT U-HAUL.* See business card and picture for reference. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any company...EVER! Not only with this branch of U-Haul, but also with the call center. This is a long experience, but I'll shorten it to give you a brief taste of our horrible incident on 7/3/18.A week prior (6/26/18) we reserved a U-Haul 8x12 trailer at the San Jose branch for pickup on 7/3.On 7/3, my wife goes to pickup the trailer per our reservation, and the conversation goes this way:Dave Daniels (General Manager) nonchalantly tells her: “Oh we don't have that trailer.”Wife: “well we have a reservation that confirmed pickup here at your branch”Dave Daniels: “yea we don't have that, and the closest one is 2 hours away, you can drive there.”Wife: “We need the truck now per our reservation because we are moving tomorrow.”Dave Daniels (General Manager): “Well other people drive several hours to pickup rentals.”Wife: “But our reservation is here and if someone would have contacted us to let us know, we might have been able to pick it up 2 HOURS AWAY!!! You need to make this right for us.”Dave Daniels (General Manager): “Oh whatever, I'll call the call center and see what they can do”Call Center: “Can't do anything for you, all we can do is give $50 off your purchase of a $1700 Truck rental” (Hangs up)Wife: You have to make this right Dave, what are you going to do for us?Dave Daniels (General Manager): “I'll drive 2 hours to the branch and pick it up for you guys today and call you later before we close (7pm). Let me get your number and reservation number. Talk to you soon. Don't worry this will be taken care of.”7 hours later still no call.6pm rolls around and I decide to go to the branch and see if Dave Daniels (General Manager) made any progress because the Branch closes at 7pm.I ask Dave Daniels idiot receptionist where Dave Daniels is...Reception Idiot: “Oh Dave went on vacation and won't be back until next week. Here's his business card with his number, go ahead and call him.”7pm comes around and no call, no trailer, U-Haul now closed.Several calls to the call center speaking to people inept and just collecting a paycheck. Transferred 5 times to different people saying they don't deal with these issues. One call center girl named Miesha says “I don't have time to talk to you” and hangs up. The last girl says “we can file a grievance which takes up to 48 hours but thy probably won't do anything.”8pm, no trailer, no call from General Manager Extraordinaire.U-Haul officially screwed us over, like many other people with the same experience. To get a General Manager to say he will take care of the issue, and to never call you back or deliver according to his word is HORRIBLE BUSINESS AND DISGRACEFUL.This branch with DAVE DANIELS (General Manager) as its captain deserves 0 stars on Yelp and is exactly what's wrong with society.ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BRANCH OR U-HAUL IN GENERAL.Have a POD delivered to your home or use PENSKE, RYDER etc. Save time, money, stress and get your move handled correctly and efficiently from step 1 and don't do business here.

U-Haul at Curtner Ave
705 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, United States
U-Haul systematically tries to steal from their customers. I rented a truck today and the agent at the Curtner site told me that it had more gas in it than it actually had. I wanted him to correct the records but he would not do it. The agent told me that I had to take a picture and hassle with the people at the drop-off site to get them to change the rental agreement. I told him that he should give me a rental agreement that is accurate. He told me that a customer must not have returned the truck with the right amount of gas in it and told me there was nothing he could do if customers were stealing gas from U-Haul. His response was wrong on so many accounts. U-Haul should not transfer problems to the customer and should fix them upon being made aware that a problem exists. Just because a customer did not return the truck with the right amount of gas, U-Haul should not expect the customer to buy more gas or try to fix the problem in some other way. And if a customer wants to return a truck to a site after hours then there is going to be nobody to talk to. Its just an absolutely rotten system. The process of renting a truck should be hassle-free and it is not. We knew wanted to drop the truck off at a location that would be open on the weekend. We called the location we were expecting to drop the truck off to and learned that the location we had selected at reservation time was not going to be open on the weekend. We wanted to change to another location but the agent told us we could not. We have to call tomorrow in order to make arrangements to drop off the truck at another location. This is another example of U-Haul being inflexible and making it a hassle for customers to use their service.I asked to speak to the manager at the Curtner location to deal with the improperly entered gas amount and he told me that I need to use the U-Haul application to contest the amount of gas at pick up time. Of course I told him that this was a U-Haul problem and he was transferring the work of fixing it to the customer. And its uncertain that the customers request to correct the amount will be honored. He tried to tell me that this is a preferred way to do business because then the customer is certain what is happening. I told him that the standard expectation is that you should be able to rent a U-Haul truck hassle free. The was completely unsympathetic. Of course this is complete baloney. You would expect him to correct the records on the U-Haul system and reissue the contract. If I didnt already have a move scheduled and with no flexibility to find another truck supplier, I would have canceled the rental. The U-Haul application would not accept a photo which I had already taken. I had to hassle with the U-Haul application then get back into the truck and take a photo and I still dont know if U-Haul is going to steal from me or not. This is not the right way to treat customers and is certainly the wrong way to begin a rental.Unfortunately, I believe that U-Haul is abusing their customers. It is very much in U-Hauls financial interest to set procedures that are so much hassle that many customers will not bother with going through the a correction process. In my opinion, U-Haul customers should do everything they can to avoid them because they are endorsing what I believe is immoral behavior by their company and its representatives.

U-Haul Moving & Storage at the Alameda
1027 The Alameda, San Jose, CA 95126, United States
Well I know the saying “three times the charm “ and that held true for obtaining a truck for rental. The first truck I was provided was missing a gas cap. No replacement was available. The second vehicle was low on fuel. After leaving the dealership I drove to a gas station. I made two attempts with two different pumps to fuel. The fuel nozzle kept shutting off. I returned the truck and reported the issue. The response from the employee was “no way” . You know that is a frustrating comment. All I want is a working truck to move my stuff. So I shared with him that yes indeed the gas port wound repeatedly shut down the fuel nozzle and was spraying fuel back at me. What surprised me the most was,, I handed him the key and he returned to the stack of truck keys on the wall. The same location where the original keys were stored for rental vehicles.I did mention that I felt the vehicle should have been downed for repair since it only had a quarter tank of fuel and the prospect of someone unable to fuel it was rather realistic. He stated he'd take care of it.I was able to obtain a usable truck and returned it in a timely manner. My only concern is after this experience is quality and reliability of the vehicle I might rent in the future. I understand that the employee I spoke to may feel people return their vehicle without accomplishing their required task do so out of some perverse pleasure of annoying him. But I would state “no way” !I hope you have a great organization, but honestly I didn't see it!

U-Haul at Tully Rd
2395 Senter Rd, San Jose, CA 95112, United States
Ive had the unfortunate experience of using their rental services twice in the past few years. Expect to wait a long time, whether it is busy or not.We did not get hassled on returning our trucks either time, so that part is good, but waiting half an hour to get checked in or out is just painful. Ive seen people come in to buy moving supplies, wait for 10-15 minutes for service and give up and walk out.The first time we came here, wed had a reservation at a different location that couldnt be honored (no trucks available) and they sent us here instead. We were supposed to get some discounts for our trouble but they wouldnt honor that and U-Haul corporate customer service didnt do anything to resolve that either. This is a decent-sized U-Haul location so they generally have a lot of the most popular sized trucks, but I dont recall ever seeing the largest trucks here. As we learned with the earlier experience, the U-Haul online reservation system will let you reserve equipment that is not normally stocked at a given location, so it might be good to stop by in advance and see what they stock.

Tool & Truck Rental Center at The Home Depot
635 W Capitol Expy, San Jose, CA 95136, United States
I would never shop this location again. Their customer service is in dire need of improvement. We were told after the puchase that in order to have delivered they would need to do a refund and charge us again. It took them 30 seconds to withdraw money from my account and i was told it would take 3 to 7 business days to refund my account. Really!!!!!We arranged to have an appliance delivered since the only two truck rentals was not available. We paid the money they required, just to have them drop off the appliance as if it was the local paper route. The delivery truck failed to not only bring it in, but dropped it off at the door only. They charge wayyyyy too much money $$$$$$$$ for delivery to not service their customers better than that. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and for that i am going to be vocal about it.

Wait time for uhaul pick up is 15 mins and up eventhough most of the employees saw me walk in and out and make eyes contact with them. I know it was busy but at least pay attention to us, customers, say something like, I will be right there with you in a moment. It was pretty good and quick when I actually got help from 2 staff members when I pick up and drop off the uhaul. Please double check on the uhaul before renting those out. At least let the customers know whats wrong with the truck and let us decide. Our lives are in your hands and thoughts.Overall, experience this time is better than the last time. Hopefully, next time will be excellent.
