Avis Car Rental
2198 Palomar Airport Rd, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE...CAR INFESTED WITH ANTS! We rented a car for a day & soon realized during out trip that it was infested with ants. The insects were crawling all inside the car (and on us!), coming out of the vents and doorjambs. We finally were able to find another Avis rental and exchanged the car for a different one. Called the manager at Carlsbad Car Rental who said THEY KNEW they have an ant problem, with ants getting into their cars, and basically tried to say that it was not their fault they have ants, that the Carlsbad airport is the one at fault and is not doing treatment. Told us to try running the heater for 20 minutes - as if that is even possible in this heat on the way up to LA on the 5. They know they have a problem with ants in their cars and are literally renting them out anyway. The manager was trying to make it seem like all of Carlsbad has ants which is categorically untrue. Yeah, we have ants in the ground but Ive lived here for 6 years and havent once had ants inside my car. Maybe they need to do pest control inside their vehicles or treat the property where they store the cars but simply renting out ant infested rental cars is not only GROSS but totally unsafe and a poor business practice. Even after we switched cars, we still had ants crawling on our belongings that had been stowed in the previous car. Its unbelievable management would think any of this was remotely acceptable. But no, she wanted to argue that it just happens. Meanwhile we were late because we had to find another Avis dealer and switch cars. She credited us 1 day for the car but frankly they are lucky we didnt get in a car accident with all the ants crawling all over us. Absolutely unacceptable and gross.
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Carlsbad

DO NOT BOOK HERE.I originally scheduled to pick up a truck on the Oceanside Location. Then a rep from this location, by the name of Bri, called me a few times to explain that I needed to pick up a cargo van from this location instead. (since they were out of trucks). She assured me that everything was ok and I could drop off the cargo van at the original Oceanside location after hours. Next day I wake up to a $300 charge for dropping it off at the wrong location. This is so unprofessional. I submitted a refund request and was told I would be called within 48-72 hours...Its been a week already and havent heard an update. Horrible service, will never rent from here ever again.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and go somewhere else.

I went to her for car insurance and she got it for me. It was handled and then she cancelled it and sent me a check with less than the amount owed back. She said she charged me a higher rate. I'm not upset about the higher rate, that happens to insurance. I immediately asked for a receipt and have been asking for a receipt for a month now, just to see where my money went, because the math is not adding up. She refuses to give me a receipt. She keeps saying she will get back to me with it. The first receipt of the lower amount she said she would originally charge me was sent by the next day after speaking with her.I really do believe she just ran off with $700 without saying where it went. All I've been asking for is a receipt. If her competency level can't even get her client a receipt, what else can you trust her with?Shouldn't be that hard to get a receipt from a national business you gave money to. Right? She shouldn't be able to charge me one amount and then realize she did it wrong and then send me a check with barely any money on it and no receipt and cancel my insurance? Right?
Bagla Law Firm Business Formation & Asset Prote...
5857 Owens Ave #300, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
We all have horror stories pertaining to law firms due to the lack of competence and empathy. One always feels like there's a clock that starts ticking the moment you walk in and that clock corresponds to the billing time. It's dreadful.Kelly Bagla is not cut from the same cloth. I can honestly say that this law firm and Kelly herself is a rare breed. The amount of care, concern, advice, and guidance she gives is incomparable.Kelly makes you feel at home and comfortable. You don't feel the ticking-clock anxiety as with other law firms. She's fair, and excellent with follow up's.Kelly is as competent as she is beautiful. Furthermore she's beautiful inside out and her elegance is unmatched. She took care of setting up our foundation and prepared all the legal documents in a timely and proper manner. We never had to worry or wait. She took care of other legal matters with the upmost expediency to our satisfaction. We can't recommend her law firm enough. You will not regret the top notch service and personal touch you get with Kelly Bagla law firm. Even her staff is equally competent. It's so refreshing to do business with someone like Kelly.Sadie Ryatt

Would recommend taking your car anywhere else.I took my car in because my flex plate was rattling and expressed that it was possibly warped or loose and needed to be replaced. Despite knowing what required repairs, they charged me for an inspection which runs about $156. Pretty average from what I've read so fair play. After being told what I already knew they went ahead and started on the replacement which is certainly an involved fix that requires technical expertise. Unfortunately, over the 14 day period, their customer service team never reached out first once.My car that they worked on was a 2000 Jeep, so I understand that there are some quirks and parts are not as easy to find as they once were, but every time I called in I was told how rusty the parts are and how poor the workmanship done by previous mechanics was. Again, fair play, but would recommend that solutions be discussed and not excuses when a customer calls for updates. On the eighth day of being in the shops possession, I had called to discuss an estimate of when the job would be completed, with some expectations that it would be within the following 1-2 days. I was pleased to be informed that it would be done on the tenth day which was a Friday. When the tenth day came, and I had still not received a call informing me that it was done, I had called to get an update at 1 pm. I was informed that unfortunately I would have to wait till the following Monday for it to be complete due to the fact that they are not open on the weekends. When I called on Monday for an update, I was informed that the reason it was still not complete was due to the fact that they were tightening the oil dipstick and re-routing transmission lines between the coolant system. Both of these fixes were very much appreciated as they probably needed to be done, but they were neither requested nor briefed to me prior to execution.Tuesday came and almost went with no call from the customer service. I called around 3 PM for an update, and was told that I would be called back by the customer service associate after discussing with the technician. Unfortunately, Tuesday evening came and went with no call back.Wednesday morning, fifteen minutes after opening, 14 days later, I received the call saying it was finally done. After picking up the car and $1,673 later I was on my way with a new flex plate, transmission coolant assembly lines, and tightened oil dipstick tube.Unfortunately, when attempting to start the car for a second time that day, there was no crank or start. I reached out to them to see if they had any indication that the starter motor could be going bad or any other condition to indicate why the car was not starting. I understand that coincidences do exist and am in no way placing blame for the non-starting car on the shop, but some empathy expressed would have been appreciated. All in all, there is a lot of improvement needed by Carlsbad Auto Service as their overall performance was completely unsatisfactory.
Jaguar Land Rover Carlsbad
5334 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
After receiving a flyer in the mail today from Jaguar Carlsbad extolling their highly trained technicians and cutting-edge diagnostic equipment I just had to share the experience we had at their dealership. We have a 2007 XJ8 with only 67K miles and we love it. Obviously we dont drive it too often, mostly for luxury trips to Vegas. Unfortunately, due to infrequent operation, the battery died and it wasnt until we had to get our smog renewal test that the onboard ECU had lost the data required to pass the test. Under California law, smog testing now requires 100% of all test criteria to pass or no registration renewal will be given. We figured not a big deal and were told to just drive the car on a few local trips and the computer would collect the necessary data and then it would reset the monitors and pass the smog test. So we drove the car over 200 miles at different times and distances over the next two weeks, but no luck, we were told by the dealership we just needed to drive it some more. Over then next 3 weeks we drove another 650 miles, here, there, and everywhere, but the ECU wouldnt reset. Now, with the renewal deadline approaching fast, we decided to have the Jaguar Carlsbad service department solve the problem, which they said theyd be happy to do . . . of course for a fee. Fine, we just need to get our beloved XJ8 license renewed, which we cant do until it passes the State smog test.Rather then drag through al the sordid details, bottom line Jaguar Carlsbad had the car for 4 days, ran test after test, put ice on the motor to make it think it was winter, on and on. However, when we were told we could come and pickup the car, (1) the ECU computer still wouldnt reset properly to pass the test, and (2) we were our over $400 for their expert service support. So how did we get our XJ8 registered? We had to make an appointment through the State for a California Smog Check Referee program from the Bureau of Automotive Repair to have the vehicle analyzed. For us, the closest location was in Hemet, CA . . . another long drive. The technician worked with the car for over and hour, evaluated all the various operating functions the old fashion way using tailpipe sniffers and more. The outcome: The technician was satisfied that the vehicle met all the necessary California smog guidelines and authorized the license renewal, even though the ECU monitors still were not properly set. As he handed us the paperwork he admonished that in two years when our renewal hit and smog would be required, there would be no ability to obtain another waiver. But knowing we had a two year reprieve to enjoy riding in or 2007 XJ8 made the day feel much better and helped to wipe away the frustration of dealing with Jaguar Carlsbad who couldnt figure out how their own car worked! Is this an unusual situation, you bet it is. Could Jaguar Carlsbad been more business savvy . . . Absolutely. When they realized their best technicians could figure our why THEIR Jaguar automobile wouldnt perform per factory specifications I would have thought the manager would have said:Were really sorry and we just cant figure out whats wrong with your car. Youll need to apply to the State of California for special smog testing dispensation. But to make up for your trouble, not having your car for 4 days, and having to travel somewhere for additional testing . . . We wont be charging you for not finding the problem. Agai8n, were really sorry aboutTHATS NOT WHAT I HEARD! Instead, in essence, I heard HERE IS YOUR BILL FOR OVER $300 FOR NOTHINGEPILOGUE: December 2021 - Although we were able to finally get the Jaguar to pass smog we knew a new car would be in our future so a few months ago we began looking seriously. We like the newer Jaguars but with the lack of reliable service we kept looking. Mercedes, BMW, and . . . . The decision - a Tesla Model S Long Range.
Premier Carlsbad GMC Buick
5556 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
I have had all service done here on my vehicle since it was new in 2019. Always had good service - until the last visit. Went in for a regular oil change and arrived with a low tire - so they took a look at the tire - told me I had a nail and that it was straight-forward and easily patched and repaired so they did that. They made a point of telling me this information. Next day tire was flat. Long story short, I took the tire to the tire store where I bought the tire (10,000 miles ago) and they immediately ascertained that the repair was done incorrectly and rendered the tire unrepairable. The dealership now said - well the nail went in crooked and so the patch didnt take.....when confronted with the fact they told me the opposite when the fixed it - they said yes we must not have repaired it correctly. They offered to refund me $35 and sell me a new tire at cost - but they couldnt source the same tire so it will have to be a different tire. The tire store where I bought the tire had me a new tire (same tire) the next day and I had it replaced - costing me $285.00. Premier admitted to me they botched the repair and ruined the tire - and for $285.00 ran a regular customer out the door - and threw some arrogance and rude behavior in on top of it. I keep my vehicles an average of 12 years and usually they have 200,000 miles on them when I am through. Thats a lot of oil changes, a lot of routine maintenance and a lot of unforeseen repairs we all encounter - all of which I would have had done at this dealership. Now I have a check for $35.00 they sent me and a really, really bad feeling about the folks at Premier Buick GMC in Carlsbad. Im not worth $285.00 to them - and my future business means nothing to them. Bad customer service, and bad business practice. I have thus far explained in person this incident to 13 of my friends and business associates. I imagine that number will climb into the hundreds. Google notified me just last week that my reviews on their platform have been seen by over 10,000 people - and all but one or two of them were glowing, positive reviews - including for this dealership. Stay away from Premier Buick GMC in Carlsbad - they arent very good at math or fixing tires. Anyone know of a good GMC dealership I can take all my business? The man of the hour over there is service manager, George Serrano - somebody needs to give him a calculator and tell him about the relationship between customer service, repeat business and business he will never see......
Benchmark Properties- Lee Arnold
701 Palomar Airport Rd #300, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States
Whether you are looking to rent, sell, or buy, Lee is your guy! Lee was our property manager for 3 years while stationed overseas. During that time Lee and his staff kept constant communication with us and took care of everything with our rental. We always had peace of mind while being so far away. Right before moving back to the states we decided to sell our property. Even with the very long distance and being in opposite time zones, Lee always kept us updated and answered all of our questions. Lee also assisted us in purchasing property (while still overseas) and put in great effort to help us find the perfect home! In the middle of closing escrow my husband was called away for work and I was so nervous and full of anxiety to be closing escrow on my own but Lee made sure all of our ducks were in a row and was always there for any questions or concerns I had. My husband and I are so happy with Lee and his staff at Benchmark Properties and we both highly recommend him. He truly is knowledgeable in his field and works so hard for his clients! Thank you Lee for everything! We are forever grateful!
Carlsbad Collision Center
6030 Avenida Encinas Ste C, Carlsbad, CA 92011, United States
This is an honest review. My car was rear-ended and the driver who hit me had Geico insurance. They recommended Carlsbad Collision Center for the repairs, so I just went with them hoping there would be no fuss. Geico were actually really good about getting my car in within 5 days of the accident.Things started to go awry after I had checked my car in. A few days later I called to see what the status was. It took 3 calls over the course of 2 days for someone to call me back, which caused frustration on my part. It was explained to me that the part needed was on back order and would take 10 days or so to get in, which was fine with me as I had a paid rental car. After 11 or 12 days they called me to say my car was ready, so I went to pick it up. Signed the documents to release my car and was given the keys, but on inspection I realized the work done was not up to par. Firstly the color of the replaced bumper didnt match. Also the masking job they did on the paint was very 2nd rate. Wavy lines and over-spray. There were also green pen marks on the replaced bumper. To top it off they had parked my car under a sappy tree and it was totally filthy. The adjuster recognized that the job done was not up to standard and promised Id have my car fixed (again) back to OEM in a day or so.I called 2 days later and was told my car was ready for pickup. I asked for it to be washed, and for the work to be double checked. This 2nd time my car was perfect and clean, inside and out.Im glad to get my car back but the work carried out here (just a rear bumper and related attachments) should have been perfect first time. They were apologetic, but thats not the point. Please watch the quality control if u must have work done here. For sure I will never return.
AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM and FIAT Car...
5555 Car Country Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92008, United States
Salesmen were not pushy and were still informative.Service Advisors Sean & Juan were absolutely amazing. Taking two stars back because they are no longer there. They both knew everything about my Jeep and made sure it was taken care of just like their own vehicles. Stop losing the good advisors that truly take care of your customers.*Update 08/11/2023Bob Baker has become AutoNation and I am sadly unimpressed. The advisor Nick was awesome. However, there was an issue when I returned to pick up my vehicle.Someone misplaced my key and when my advisor asked if anyone was going to look for it because I was there waiting, my advisor received a snarky response that not really or something along those lines. I was completely flabbergasted but 20 minutes later they magically got me my key and brought me my truck. It might be time to go to a new dealership.Update Oct 30, 2023 - Gave them a chance to right their rude behavior from before with taking my truck to get an oil change. Danny my service advisor is awesome, absolutely a rockstar. The issue seems to be the mechanics working on peoples vehicles. An oil change done about a month ago caught us off guard and appeared as if oil was leaking from the front of my engine. We took it back in to get it checked and found out that the oil change was done carelessly and the tech spilled oil on my engine.... This is serious. My truck could have caught on fire with me and my children in it... AutoNation is horrible. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.Update Jan 29, 2024. Updating review due to actually trying to reach out to the GM as asked by the Owner. Wasnt given a direct number, was given the general number with no name or extension for the GM. Had to call 3 different departments in order to leave a hand written message with a salesman named Antonio to be delivered to someone named Scott. This dealership does not care about its customers at all. If it wasnt for making this place warranty their work I would go to another dealership. When I dont have that to do, its happening and when I get ready to buy my new Jeep, it wont be from this dealership.Update Jan 30, 2024. Scott C. the General Manager made it his business to call me personally and apologize for the service received in my previous reviews and made a true amends to right the wrongs. This is definitely a start of a reconciliation. He sounds very nice and understanding.2/16/2024 Scott didnt show up to meet me as he said he would on the phone. I tried repeatedly to call the number back that Scott originally called me from, no answer. I couldnt even get the original Service Advisor I left my Jeep with to call Scott to confirm anything Scott said and I left over-charged and paid for services I didnt ask for and things that Scott said would be covered to make up for the previous issues. My Jeep was there for 3 weeks and the bill was jaw dropping, work that the dealership should have performed when my truck was there for those repairs on my front end, I had to pay for out of pocket. I shouldnt have had to pay for that when it should have been done when my Warranty company had already paid for that. Super disappointed I allowed myself to be played again by this place.
