Representative Service at the counter: 5/5, I made the reservation online and when I got there the gentleman informed me that the online price (coupon was used) had an error and additional charges were being charged. Zeek (sic) spoke clearly, made eye contact, and ensured that the “extra” charges were not charged.Time of service was a 3/5: only one person handling a large group of customers. Pick-up time was 0900 and by then the guy had 5 customers in line.Cleanliness of the establishment: 2/5, building is old, floor is torn, smells weird and the counter was sticky and cluttered.Car: 0/5, several reasons: car was being “detailed” guy brought it over and there were dirt smudges all on the car and windows. Inside the car there was a strange smell to it. We couldn't pin point it, old cigarettes or must… the guy who “detailed” the vehicle explained that it was just washed and detailed.I should have listened to my gut and requested something different. BUT it was cold outside and the dude inside was alone dealing with the large amount of people. Yes, I could have thought about what I needed not what someone else needs… it gets worst. Once I arrived home and picked up my husband he pulled down the visor and a sticker with the word ‘sausage' was on it. He goes to put on his seatbelt and some red, dried up something was smeared on the car and seatbelt. Now I am on hold with customer service because the tire sensor has gone off, I checked the tire pressure and that's not the problem. Spoke with Zeek and he is exchanging the car out for me, as long as the gas tank is full.I get it, it's not BUDGETS fault how renters use the vehicle. It is BUDGETS responsibility to ensure all vehicles are up to par.****I will update my review AFTER I switch out vehicles.

AVOID COMING HERE AT ALL COST!!! Horrible customer service, especially from the Branch manager Nick. I had a reservation and when I show up there were TONS of displeased customers waiting outside just to be checked in. They have no cars available and ironically everyone there had reservations booked in the same time slot. As we are waiting, some people returned cars so that helped with fleet availability but, once it finally came my turn to pick up my rental there was a problem. I am a travel nurse so I have a DL from another state I also have a California DL as well but recently lost it. Now I have rented a car at this location before with the out of state DL no problem. They only thing they required was proof of residency. I had a phone bill (which was accepted last time) Mail from the IRS, the DMV, my medical insurance and even a bank statement to show proof of residency. The associate that was helping me was Jessica, she said she would need to get approval from her manger which was fine. 10 minutes later the Branch manager walks over and I explain the situation to him I provide all the documents even a photo of my California ID he looks me up and down a says that he's not going to accept the documents provided and said that I cannot rent with them. I expressed to him that I previously rented a car with the same exact documents and out of State DL they looked it up to see that I was correct, other people waiting chimed in stating that the had done the same with no problem. I explained to him that it was my birthday and that I simply just wanted to get a car to go to Las Vegas for the weekend. By this point I asked to speak to his Areal manager to try to reach a resolution. He rudely said “ it doesn't matter what you say she's going to side with me any way!” I remained calm and said that's fine let's just see if she can some up with a resolution to this matter. After hearing the way he spoke to me several other customers chimed in saying that he wasn't being professional and demanding to know why he was refusing to let me rent a car. The issue of race came up and he began to become extremely uncomfortable. I am a young African American female, and The Branch manger is a white male. When people asked if it was because I was black or a woman he immediately said he was calling to police. I said that's fine I have done nothing wrong, at this point I just wanted my previous rental agreement printed out so that I could go to another location. He dialed 911 and put it on speaker telling them to send the police for refusing to leave the office and being disorderly. He told them what I was wearing and said that “she is a black female so you guys should hurry and probably bring back up” I was outraged!!! He even went as far as saying that “I should be worried when the police arrive” hinting at what has happened in the news with the multiple killings of unarmed black People by police that have recently happened. At that point in fear of my safety I left the office. I have rented multiple cars and have never had this problem let alone received this type of horrible customer service from someone who is supposed to be in charge. I waited an hour and a half just to be disrespected and to leave with no car. What a way to celebrate my 30th birthday.

We found ourselves in a situation where we had a vehicle transport scheduled for our military move across country and they failed to arrive or even inform us of their cancellation, leaving us in the lurch trying to find a way to haul our additional vehicle at the 11th hour. Although I never set foot in the store and ultimately wasn't able to rent equipment from this location, Itaska went above and beyond trying to find a solution for us even if it meant she would not get our business. I am grateful for people like Itaska that puts people and their well fair above making a sale. Thank you Itaska for paying it forward and I will look for the opportunity to do the same for someone else in the future.

Its a shame zero stars isnt an option. My experience with U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster has been the single most infuriating customer service interaction I have ever had. The story begins when my U-Box was moved here when there was not enough room in Pasadena, where it was supposed to be stored. When I tried to call up to U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster and arrange to get my box returned to me, I could never get through to anyone actually in Lancaster; I would inevitably wait on hold for quite some time and then get rerouted to a corporate customer service line. Day after day I was assured that someone would return my call; it didnt happen. Finally, after 9 days of calling every day, I did get through to someone actually in Lancaster and was told that out of county delivery of my box would mean a nearly $500 charge - even though I had never wanted my things to be stored up there in the first place! After TWENTY-FOUR more phone calls over the next three days with various customer service agents, someone gave me the cell phone number of Chad Farren, the president of U Haul of San Fernando, who immediately arranged for it to be delivered to me - free of charge, but thanks to the incompetence of the individuals at U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster, nearly two weeks after I had needed it delivered. So, I got my things, but the nightmare doesnt end here! U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster has continued to charge me for a storage space at their facility despite my having retrieved my things a month ago. I called yesterday - after a long wait on hold, was rerouted to the corporate customer service line, per usual - spoke to two agents and their manager, who could find no record of my contract and had no idea why I was still being charged, but said they eventually got through to the manager of U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster (Vanessa Ruiz, I assume) and sorted it out. I got an email refunding the last charge, and I was assured the account was closed out for good and I wouldnt be charged again and this whole nightmare would be over.No surprise, it was not over!! I woke up this morning to another email saying I was charged again (!!!) for a month of storage, in the same amount that was refunded yesterday! At this point, I wonder whether I should even bother to call for what is probably the 40th time and try to get this refunded, or if I should just eat my losses and cancel my credit card to prevent future charges.TL;DR youre better off just throwing any belongings you would store there straight into a landfill and trying to find them later, because digging through burning trash to recover your things would probably be a more pleasant experience than trying to deal with U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster. And itll be less expensive.

They have very poor customer service here. I was broke down on the hwy for over an hour in a half. When their tow service arrived, they said he could not help because he only do jumps, now when I originally called I told them we dont need a jump. Its a major mechanic issue and if we can get another truck, their call center said we first send out a tech to see if the problem can be fix and if it cant be fix well get another truck out. So I went back up to uhaul in my own car to ask if we can get another truck, Matt tells me they do not have another truck to accommodate me. Now matt a supervisor and didnt know what the hell he was doing. I came back a second time because U-Haul call center called me back stating we found a truck at U-Haul and we have it reserved for you. I said I just came from there and they said they have no other truck, linda from the call center said we do have an extra truck, so I go back and Matt tells me once I get there the truck thats been reserved has a flat and they have no one to repair the flat, so there call center is calling back saying I have to wait two more hours for roadside service to come get the truck. At this point I was very upset because we been on the hwy since 8:00 this morning and here it is about to be 11 and still no help from U-Haul. I went back a third time and ask for a manager, Matt was like Im the supervisor I said yeah but your not being helpful. I called Chad and explained the issue and he said theres a truck reserved for u I said your supervisor Matt is telling me that truck has a flat and no one can repair it. Chad said ok Ill call you back. Chad call me back and said we have a truck available and ready for you. Chad was very helpful and accommodate me for what went on. The CSR needs to be retrained and Matt definitely do not need to be a supervisor because he do not know what he is doing, he never called his manager to see what he could do for me. I felt I did his job for him and thats calling his manager to see how can I get accommodate for this issuse. After this experience its makes me not want to rent another truck from this place.

This was only a drop off for me on April 6th of a 20 ft truck. Was very easy All steps along the way were surprisingly easy. I pre-rented the truck or I guess reserved it you would say I picked it up we filled it up and we I drove it out here to Antelope valley no problems. When we were done I dropped it off a mile from my house after filling the gas tank and it was smooth. Just dropped it off showed him the paper I think he signed something and that was it. I really liked the convenience.
