Enterprise Rent-A-Car
477 E Hillsdale Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94403, United States
This by far was the worst rental we had, i rented a 12 seater passenger on September 3-7 at San Mateo hillsdale location. Right when we arrive to pick up the rental, we had to wait for an hr because the van was not ready and wasn't clean they had reed or reese had to vacuum the van because it was full of sand. He said it has been sitting there for a while now. After they finished the van had alot of water stain on every seat it was filthy there was still alot of sand on the floor and seat. We had no choice but to take it because there's no available 12 seater anywhere in the area. And so he went around the car to check if everything was good and he said it was. I dont know much about cars and so i trusted what he said, while driving back home with the van low tire pressure went on and washer level was low. I called to let them know and reed or reece told me to stop by at the gasoline station to add air and water for windshield. I waited until the next day to do so because i had work. So the day that we were leaving, we stopped by at the gasoline station to add air and there was a big nail !!! It was so inconvenient i called and reed/reece answer again and told me to call enterprise near by to see if there any spare 12 seater for me to get and there was none!!! So he told me to go to firestone to have it fixed and he will give me $100 off. That was not enough for what we went thru we had 2 infants and it was very hot to be waiting for 1hr and a half at firestone, mind you 11 of us are waiting there to have the van fixed in the afternoon! I asked reed/reece if it was safe to drive and if everything was good he assured me that it was. That was the worst experience that me and my family had to go thru with a rental car. And when we returned it no one was in the office because i guess it was labor day so we had to drop off the key at the drop box BUT the office was open we waited inside for almost an hr, why would you leave the office open. Worst experience ever!!!!

This person should not be in business renting moving trucks. Unless you are in a position of maybe needing a truck for your move. Stay away! My reservation meant nothing to him. He told me to go somewhere else cause his computer is down. I explained its the end of the month and thats why I reserved weeks ago. But he didnt really understand or care that this was important so I had to uber to the uhaul center that was literally 1/4 Mike away. Had I known of course that would have been my first choice and it should be yours. Manually renting trucks is an option but didnt want to do it manually or didnt know how. When I asked is English went from bad to worse. You dont need to speak English to know that I cant move without the truck and he didnt lift a finger to help me find other options. He basically pointed me in the right direction and didnt apologize.

Rented a cargo van from this location last minute and the experience was fantastic. Location was easy to find with onsite parking, team was efficient helping me get my truck and items to get moving quickly, team then went above and beyond checking in the truck, making sure everything was as expected and even topping off air in my personal vehicle tires. Great experience, will rent from here again. Will even use this location if I need any body work.

Hello Everyone,I have never really given any feedback review before but i thought this company deserves one.My son own a 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 last year July 2023 it was involved in a minor incident were our car was parked & someone backed into damaging the rear bumper.Geico our insurance company advised us to bring our vehicle to a bodyshop & they recommended the bodyshop here in South San Francisco CARSTAR AUTO WORLD.So we brought our car & left it there for a week. They repair/replace the rear bumper. After a day driving the car a dash indicator light came-on stating that rear bumper camera is out of calibration. We brought the car back to point out the dash indicator for rear camera that's out of aligned / out of specs. They said that light was on when they got the car prior to them working on it. We told them that wasn't so. They argued with us that has had nothing to do with their work, when it was clear that they removed the bumper camera in order for them to replace the bumper.Nine months later today (04-09-2024) we were inspecting the tire pressure of the car when we noticed that the spare tire was missing from the under the cover inside of the trunk. After thinking about no one has worked on this car with the exception from the bodyshop at CARSTAR AUTO WORLD which was (9) months ago.We rushed to bodyshop & explained to them situation of our spare tire being missing. The front desk personnel stated why did we just come back for it after almost a year? We told them are we supposed to check to make sure your shop put everything back in the car? Are we supposed to check under the car to make sure you shop put all the nuts/bolts back in the car? This bodyshop had the audacity to make us look as if we were lying to them about the missing spare tire in the trunk. They told us that they will look for it & will call us back when if they find it.After a day they called & said they found our spare tire. When we picked it up the spare tire was the correct one, but completely scratched up as if it had been used.We never received any kind of apologies from this bodyshop CARSTAR AUTO WORLD for their poor service & mistakes.I made a formal complaint at the front desk & they said that the manager will call me, but never did.I would NOT recommend this bodyshop CARSTAR AUTO WORLD at South San Francisco for their poor service, bad attitude & multiple mistakes.

We worked with Adhemar C. and David H. who were absolutely professional, highly responsive, and skillful. They also patiently walked us through every step and options of what was happening in our project, where they needed to replaced the collapsed sewage clay pipes, which were also disconnected from the sewage line; and reconnected the new one back. It was a complicated affair, and they dealt with every step of it with thorough analysis, using top grade heavy duty equipments. They made major repairs within a short period of time and got the sewage line back up and running. They took care of the water leaks underneath the house, where it was hugely flooded (disposed all the water), replaced the damaged sunken sump pump with a higher grade one, and placed it in a better location, inspected area for hazard, and routed any ground water from the sump pump directly into the sewage line instead of the front lawn like it did before. From underneath the house they also did a full lateral /vertical pipe inspection to make sure there aren't any damaged or leaky pipes, and repaired the ones that needed it.The home had other issues that pertained to the interior structure of the home and they were quick to refer us to a set of reputable companies that helped us handle all of those logistics quickly, without me having to be involved with explaining the logistics, which was tremendously helpful.I am impressed by their white glove service and felt assured that everything was done right. They recorded every part of what they did in details, in a report, where it also included many pictures and videos taken during the various stages of the processes to document what was done. The photos and videos were helpful in revealing just how much was accomplished and the high level they operated in, using the best equipments available. We are thankful to have chosen them to handle this massive project.
UpNest
3 E 3rd Ave Ste 200, San Mateo, CA 94401, United States
I was a bit skeptical about going with this service as I didnt want to wind up with a second rate agent that was trying to compete on price alone. What I found instead were a number of agents who had earned their stripes working for one of the big real estate names (like the Big 5 accounting firms) and decided it was too restrictive and/or unable to fully utilize their talents. However, as an independent or small firm real estate agent, it is challenging to get clients willing to take a chance on you with their million plus dollar asset or even find you in the first place given the advertising coverage the big guys have saturated the market with.UpNest serves as a screening and validation tool - much like Amazon or EBay does for many quality small vendors seeking to reach a broad online market but have no credibility on their own or marketing reach. UpNest does that initial preselection and validation of quality agents, then continues to monitor them based upon prospect feedback. You screw up or act in an unethical fashion and youre gone.As these agents are working for small firms or even out of their houses with a virtual team of support people, they dont have the massive overhead, or full time expensive support staff of a large real estate firm. And so they can offer much better commission rates and contract flexibility than the big guys can even with paying UpNest a small cut. They are also more flexible on the Standard Listing Agreement which is cleary written to greatly favor the listing agent should anything go awry and can turn out to be an absolute nightmare if you sign it without making any modifications. The big real estate names are more likely to have a take it or leave it attitude. The agreement is written in legal jargon so dont depend solely on yourself to figure it out.Market reach is no problem as everything is online so they can do anything the big guys can - only less expensive, faster and with more responsiveness to a customer. Im still in the early phases of working with an agent. If anything changes Ill be updating my review.
Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA
12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94401, United States
This location is very crooked. Im actually working on an article which will be exposing them for their criminal acts. There is a very bad side that they keep hidden unless trying to squeeze money from innocent people. I used to think this place was great until several incidents.I adopted 3 kittens from them on two different occasions, and both times, they falsified the pets records or stretched the truth about their care. First adoption was a male and female kitten. The male was very sick despite records saying otherwise and was forced to take the male kitten to my vet because they stated on the phone if I bring the kitten back, they will take it from me and most likely put it down. Same thing happened in 2017 with a very sick female kitten that cost well over $1200 to be treated next day by vet due to same lame excuse they gave above. If you plan adopting from this place, make sure your prepared to pay a lot more in vet bills as past exerience shows animals from here are flea infested and sick quite often despite what records show. Now for the beauty of all scams and my soon to be released article, which will contain recordings of what takes place inside. If you see a sick or injured animal in your neighborhood, call them by payphone or at most, if you have to use your cell, do not give them any informarion, and block your number before calling. This is because they have workers there doing community service who will use your phone number to get your personal info and send you a bill if your not careful, like they did with me!Over a 6 month period, I and my neighbors reported a feral cat thats nose was gone and socket where it was located, rotting. SPCA did absolutely nothing despite emailing higher officials over at San Mateo office. The best I was able to do, was borrow a trap and given i structions by them on how to bait the trap with a can of food. It was too smart and ended up giving the trap back. When it snuck into my home once after we were done food shopping, closed the door to try trapping it. Failed as it tore screen before it could be picked up. Then shortly after, it just vanished. I called SPCA to see if they managed to capture the cat, and Friday I get a call they may have it and that its in such a sorry condition, it needs to be put down and would I come in to verify it and pay $50 for uthenizing. My biggest mistake saying yes. Being Im in a powerchair, I cant go places same day and have to give paratranset a days notice. My kids wanted to go as well to see if this was a the ferral cat. Saturday morning, I show up with my children. I talk with a rep there named Randolph Watts. He asks me to fill out a form and will take us in back to verify if this is the cat we talked about on the phone, though he showed me a picture which was verification enough. When I looked at the form, It was a form stating I was the owner, which jn fact I wasnt. I informed Watts about this, refusing to fill it out, but at same time reminding him I came only to verify if it was the cat in question, and to donate the $50 for euthenization. Turns out his getting me there was not to get $50, but to get a lot more. Luckily I had warning bells go off earlier, and set up a recorder in case of trouble. Trouble was an undetstatement! Remember above how they told me how to trap it? They do this so they can say the animal is now yours, and worse tried hitting me with an $800 vet bill for services I know they did not do from past experience. Randolph Watts should be considered a criminal for what took place next. In front of my two children, who were in tears after the event, listened to Randolph Watts tell them how this ferral cat will die painfully because I would not pay the $800. Its more like $780, so lets just call it $800. The whole event was recorded. I left and waiting outside for paratranset to pick us up when an officer showed up and talked with him and he agreed, not to let him scam us. But unless he forged papers or info, it was only a civil matter. Days later, it turned criminal. He forged my info using my phone #!
Park Place at San Mateo Apartments

Just moved in to this expensive apartment a week ago and hope to enjoy life. And after a day, I was washing grapes with a white bowl and found that I was never be able to wash the grapes clean. Plus the bath gel seemed harder to wash during shower. I started to doubt about the hot water and yes! it was brown.Requested service and after two days I got a notes left on the table saying everything was fine . Check! Check!. As a handy person, I just bought a hose and tried to drain the heat tank, just out of engineers curiosity. OMG, I never saw this kind of dirty heater tank in my whole life (I owned a house before and did flush few times myself, the first time was after ~3 years of using), and showed the NICE water to the leasing office, they asked me to come back in 30 mins. After 30mins, the office was closed in the frond and found one of sales person at lunch at the club room? it was 3pm, anyway, he said he was at lunch, I could see that but he turned the back to me and I said ok, I could wait. After a min, he saw I was waiting and was not willing to leave at all and he called the maintenance to see me in my room.Ok, we did full drain the tank, the whole tank is like a LAVA!!!!!!! attached few pictures after the first burst, I missed the best ones. But it is good enough to feel it from these too. Also flushed three times from half tank with cold water. Now, we could at least see the bottom of the basket we were using to check the water. And the maintenance person said the hot water should be fine after the settlement. But to be frank, after you see the water from the tank, this heater has to be replaced for sure 200%. After another two days of suffering the brown water, nothing gets better. Drained again, the bottom of the tank is still like lava + now big white segments can be seen. And since this apartment was rented by seniors for 16 years, I bet the tank had never been serviced for 16 years !!!! Poor people and did not find the water they were using is like this. I hope they are still fine. Also the original 16 year old dryer takes me two hours to dry a half loaded clothes.... Great too for a $3600 apartment!Request to replace the heat water tank and the dryer!! and will see how long it will take to fix this and I will update the post....If it is complete, I can give more stars, now it is zero!!! I am not sure why this place is rated 4.6. Unbelievable to me at least for now.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Updated on 2/15/2017Thanks for Google reviews impact and I got phone call right on Monday morning (compared with two days) and discussed the problem again and blabla I should have gone to the office to see them. I DID already! but nobody took care of me. I dont want to bring my basket again with the dirty water and stand there like a homeless. So I got the promise to get the heater replaced on Tuesday and also they will look the dryer.I thought this was the end of the problem and we will move on. No. They cleaned the vent of the dryer and I tried again. It gets better but still not great just like my score here 3 out of 5. On Tuesday, got an email from the Director of the service, saying they were still trying to troubleshooting the heater and flushing more water and it was not THAT OLD... blabla.. I could not hold my anger when I saw his email signature how home should feel... What a joke! NO WAY!! I spent another 20 mins to reply the email as well as my wife and we planned to move out from this place! Finally, the general manager spoke up and the new heater was installed eventually. Thank God. Why? Why so difficult to replace a 500 buck heater...Still not 100% clean I guess the pipe also takes time to flush out. But you feel it getting much better, no bad smell at least! Again I think 3 stars is the best I can give no matter what and it is very generous. From the day we moved in until the day the heater problem got fixed, we suffered exactly 10 days! Readers can judge by yourselves. Thanks for reading all my angry words and sorry too.
