Avis Car Rental

The car was comfortable and got us there and back with no troubles. The agent at check out and in is very nice, friendly, and efficient. But this is the first time in all my rentals the agent has not been able to accompany me to the car. I went the direction he told me to get it, but I found the right one using the key. And not having been shown the operation of all that stuff on the car was not good. My Wife and I figured out some of it while I was driving. If he had been able to show me the operation I would have known there is a CD player and I could have had my music on the trip instead of unreliable Pandora. But the main reason for my rating is the noise. There is something wrong with that car. It sporadically made a droning noise that I never did figure out why or or when it happens. It would start low, build high, then taper off. It would not happen for 100 miles then would happen 3 times in 10 minutes. I have owned and driven a lot of cars. I have well over a million miles from the drivers seat. I have never heard any car make that noise. It was so bad My Wife put her fingers in her ears, put her head down, and a few times she cried a little.

Horrible customer service. The woman was manner-less, impolite, extremely Rude, and discourteous. She was friendly to the man in front of me and went to bring his rental to the front for him. However, when it was my time to receive customer service from her... it was the opposite. Poor communication and when she just TOLD me where my rental was, which I couldnt find, she grew more snappy with me when I asked where exactly it was. She said to me, its between the two vans! Its a truck you can see it! Keep in mind the whole lot had vans and being a first time customer there I had no idea what was going on. She walked out with a attitude and pointed it to me in a second row and said to me cant you see I had no clue what her issue was with me I wasnt rude to her and thought I would get the same service as the man in front of me. Iv had a bad day at work too before so I wont mention her name that starts with a *D* but she should be more mindful when customers can see how you treat the person in front of them. Customer service is tough. I wont use this location for services again.
U-Haul Trailer Hitch Super Center of Santa Rosa
3595 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
U-Boxes arrived 10 days late from scheduled ship date. Not this sites fault but hasp was broken (under shrink wrap) Notified assistant manager on Thursday. Both in person and again later that day w/ a phone call (There is no manager presently). Following Monday visited to enter box again, hasp was still not repaired. So my belongings were left unlocked for 4 Days. Asked 877 number about credit for delayed delivery beyond guaranteed date, they told me to talk to local center. Local center said no I had to contact 800 number. So I contested the charges with my credit card company until U-Haul figures out who is responsible for processing the credit. Called 877 number to schedule access to U-Boxes after they finally arrived 9 days late. They supposedly messengered the local center. I also called the number I was given by 877 to be doubly my boxes would be ready for access the day after I called. Arrived to find that not the case. Local center did act quickly to give me access in about 20 minutes. My advice insist on U-Box new design WIDE brass hasp that wraps around the box door to the side of the box.Be prepared for delays in shipping dates and for access once delivered to new U-Haul center.
United Access (formerly Ability Center)
3285 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
STAY AWAY!!This business takes advantage of people in vulnerable situations and employs sloppy and unethical business practices. We purchased a Honda Odyssey with a wheelchair accessibility conversion package from sales associate Tony Nava. When asked about the resale value of the van, Tony said that it would be $5,000 to $7,000 less than the purchase price. After only 3 months and 600 miles, the Ability Center quoted a resale price of over $20,000 less than the purchase price. When pressed about the discrepancy between the quoted $7,000 discount from the $20,000 discount, the managers response was to sell the van on craigslist.Furthermore, the license plates were sent to the dealership rather than our home, and the dealership never forwarded the pink slip. The Ability Center has been unprofessional and unresponsive throughout our interactions since this purchase. For example, the missing pink slip is still unresolved over 3 months after the purchase with no help from the Ability Center.Given that these vehicles are a specialty item, their resale is more complicated than for a typical vehicle. The Ability Center takes advantage of this fact in the context of most resales occurring after the death of a family member and few resources to put in the extra work required to sell the vehicle for a fair price. While it is understandable that they need to run a profitable business, they seem to take advantage of people in a vulnerable situation, which is particularly frustrating after being told that they will purchase the vehicle back for a fair price.
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Santa Rosa
3601 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, United States
I called to make the appointment to install a trailer hitch and brake controller ... the sales person I spoke with did not understand the difference between a flat four connector and a 7 pin connector ... so after explaining why I needed the 7 pin the sales slip I received in an email still said 4 pin and no controller .... I called right back and spoke with the sales person from my previous call then he handed me off to an installer...,who got it and specd what I needed; but I never received a new email confirmation....a week later my daughter makes the 1.5 hour trip for our appointment ... only to be told the hitch did not come in and they dont have time anyway... I had an appointment... they should have called.. so we set another appointment for a week later.. my daughter gets there and calls me because theyre trying to tell her I ordered a 4 pin connector ... she is not a professional trailering expert like the Techs an U Haul but she knows what she needs ..I also had told them she would be waiting for the truck ... one hour install .. she waited 4hrs ...,billed 1 hour install.. because thats all it took.. so I get home after work and omg .. they put a well used 7 pin connector on the truck and drilled a hole through the step on the bumper to put one of the two required mounting bolts .. so the head of the bolt is under the bumper and there is 3/4 of bolt and nut sticking up through the bumper on the step ... so if you step on the step you get a bolt through your foot .. theyre completely inept .. go anywhere else these are not experts theyre hacks. No management or oversight .. I should have canceled my appointment the first time they messed up my order.

Nancy was great at the Uhaul on Redwood Hwy. She ran the show by herself in more ways than one; by completing the paperwork, offering advice and hooking up the trailer to my jeep. I was so pleased to have such a friendly, helpful, kind person such as Nancy, to assist with my relocation to Wisconsin!

REDi Construction & Restoration
3351 Industrial Dr Suite 1, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, United States
Years ago REDi installed laminate throughout my new home. I had movers coming in a few days, but the installation crew found that sections of subfloor needed repair. More work requiring more time. Most company's would have said, “Sorry, you'll have to reschedule your mover.” REDi did not. Instead they worked from early in the morning to late at night and completed the job on schedule. What's more, they charged a very modest amount for the extra work. Recently, I had water damage to the laminate in front of my sink. The insurance company, who refused to pay for the damages, told me I would have to replace all the flooring in the kitchen. Another expert said it would be impossible to fix the floor with the nine leftover boards I had in storage ( the flooring was discontinued and that was all I had). Well, Redi did the impossible. The floor is perfect! What's more, Raul, who did the work was professional, polite and could not have been nicer. I gave this company 5 stars eight years ago, and I'm doing it again. ?
Farmers Insurance - Joseph Magelitz
4795 Old Redwood Hwy Ste D, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, United States
We are so fortunate to be supported by Farmers Insurance and especially by our agent, Joe Magelitz, and his assistant, Christine. They are knowledgable, available, extremely responsive, and above all, supportive. Having accidents and losses is humiliating and stressful, but Joe and Christine are always there for us. They join with us as a team to initiate recovery activities, make essential and extremely valuable recommendations on courses of actions including contacts in the community for excellent quality repair services who meet and exceed Farmers standards. We especially appreciate their guidance during our most tragic loss of a lifetime. As victims of the Sonoma County Wildfire of 2017, we are still shocked, dazed, and bewildered. Joe and Christine immediately reached out to give us some stability. Joe described the process, arranged for experts from Farmers to guide us, followed up with the transitions in our coverages, and generally gave us a warm, friendly hand when we needed it most. The process went very well and we knew all along that Joe was standing behind us and would be our personal advocate if needed. I highly recommend Joe and his agency to anyone.

PURE Property Management of California
1101 College Ave # 140, Santa Rosa, CA 95404, United States
The positives:Theyre responsive and kind when you speak on the phone and offer help or will send someone out right away.If an appliance stops working they work to get you a new one fairly easily. Had a fridge go out and they replaced it with one that was too big but helped get the right one in there. They got a new laundry machine when the one that barely worked broke down.Keith and Perla are very kind people, always easy to work with and helpful, but see below for the negatives on the move out as that was where I feel they felt short. The negatives:They hire the cheapest contractors they can find and the contractors they hire wont do the work right or well. (Had a carport leak that dropped residue constantly on my new car when it rained, they didnt fix it right as the grating didnt fit in the drain, and it still leaked)Laundry machines on site were terrible, and I mean terrible. Ive lived in a lot of apartments and Ive never experienced such poor laundry machines. It costs you about 5-6 dollars in quarters just to do the laundry and end up with it damp. The cleanliness when I moved in was disgusting, but I needed a place and didnt complain about it at the time. (Pee below the toilet, a dirty shower, oven still had stuff in it etc)The moving out process was the most uptight Ive ever seen especially given the above statement on the cleanliness upon moving in. I went around the house with my girlfriend for hours filling every tack hole (yes tiny little tack holes that you couldnt even make out half the time) because of the complaint that holes hadnt been filled. Getting my deposit back I was deducted based upon that.I also was deducted based upon touch up paint and minor scuffs which in any other apartment falls under the normal wear and tear so this came as a surprise to me because Ive never been charged for something of that sort. Also the way they like to paint things is by just painting over old peeled paint and not sanding it and doing it correctly therefore making it easier for it to degrade. The other surprise to me was that they called out that they had to replace items that werent there when I moved in such as a tub stopper. (The tub has a valve switch to plug and unplug the drain which didnt work upon moving in but thats besides the point).Apparently it took someone two hours to fill pinholes and paint minor wear which also is a surprise to me.Overall Id rate experience living in the apartment as fine and acceptable. The moving out part was the worst move out experience Ive had.Honestly look somewhere else if youd like to have someone who will repair your issues correctly. And unless you like losing a chunk of your already ridiculous deposit to superficial things mentioned above then I recommend looking elsewhere.
