Budget Car Rental
20522 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Staff at the office is good and helpful. The customer service guys are retarded, and don't understand simple English. I rented a car for a day and had to extend it by 1 day. I had to talk to 5 people over 3 calls, requesting for the extension.Over the call, first person confirmed my extension. But I didn't receive any confirmation email. I called them second time and representative asked me for additional charge for modification and confirmed that there was no extension that I requested. When I was returning the vehicle, the representative in the office confirmed that I was already charged for the extension so I can keep the vehicle for another day. When I was about to drop off the vehicle, I inquired if they take the time zone into account since the billing cycle is 24 hours; I picked the vehicle from California and returned in Colorado, so I simply inquired that if the time is adjusted accordingly. This representative confirmed that there was no extension on my account so I would be penalized once I return the vehicle. I tried to extend it again over the call, and he couldn't do that because the drop off location is closed when I was supposed to return the vehicle. I went to the drop off location myself before this call and confirmed that the drop off location accepts after hours return and has key drop-box. But this representative argued that it didn't because the system says. Great work! So you think I was smoking and hallucinated of the instructions for keys drop off! So the representative accepted his limited authority on helping me. Subsequently, I requested him to connect me to the customer care and voila, great news, this representative is customer care representative. My call was transferred to the billing department. I explained the whole situation to this representative after which he said, Hold and behold, “I'm sorry, but I can't help you with this”. Upon my insistence to talk to someone who either has authority or could take an action, he asserts that nothing can be done and I will be charged for two days extra. In less than 24 hours, I had to request the same extension 4 times which the agents/representatives confirmed to exist and not exist as per their convenience.A great response I received from one of the representatives was “you are late in returning the vehicle, so extend for two days more so that you can return to the same location”. Yeah sure, it was my fault that the weather conditions were bad. I should have cleared the skies and snow before driving on the road. No agent/representative can do anything, they interpret one information in their own way, and make up the return time. Everyone gave me a different return time for a simple 24 hour billing cycle. Great mathematics! I spent an hour over the call to confirm where shall I return the vehicle and how much would I be charged. Why should I pay for miscommunication and my time wastage because of your untrained staff or unclear guidelines. I didn't request an airlift of a car for which the guidelines didn't exist. It was a simple extension by 24 hours in normal timeline, nota time scale defined in physics or astrophysics for some celestial/cosmic event. When one representative confirmed extension, I saw a debit on my credit card. After few hours, there was no debit and no extension. They just kept playing with debit and credit. I had to deal with all of this on Jan 1, 2023. A great way to start another year by standing the ground to resist unethical professional behavior and the fraudulent charges. Finally, when I suggested that I'll take this dispute to the authorities, the last representative created a case for me and confirmed no mischievous additionalcharges. I rented the car with budget the first time and I MUST say that it was a terrible, frustrating, abusive, and disappointing experience. So far, they have confirmed they won't charge me extra, let's see if that is actually confirmed or another temporary confirmation and the things change if I had to speak to another representative.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Rented a car because my car is in the shop. I had to use a debit card because I dont have any credit cards. When I arrived at the location to pick up the vehicle Shay was so awesome. She was nice, courteous, and very patient. I failed to print out my required documents and she waited while I looked up my information on line. With all of that going on she was still friendly. She processed my information and I was on my way within 15 minutes. Not to mention the vehicle was awesome for the price. When I returned the vehicle I was greeted by Drea who was also very friendly. She returned the vehicle within 5 minutes and I was on my way. The office was also clean and not crowded at all. Thanks so much for the awesome customer service ladies I felt like a valued customer. ??Additional comments.Unfortunately my car is still inoperable so I have been renting from enterprise frequently and I must say that the service and care from the staff is exceptional. I rented a vehicle again 4/30 and I was suppossed to return it 5/2. Due to my vehicle issues I kept the vehicle until 5/16. When I attempted to extend the rental I called and spoke to Ray and he was so helpful and kind and was able to extend my agreement for the same vehicle for 30% less than the internet estimate. WOW!! I am just in awe with this company. Thank you Ray for your excellent service and for saving me money. ??

If I could give this place zero stars I would! Horrible customer service! I'm getting ready to move into a new home and I had kept hearing from people I should go to U-haul to purchase boxes because they are very fair priced. Therefore, looked up a local U-haul store and it said they close at 7pm. I ended up leaving work and rushing to this location off of Hawthorne Blvd in the city of Torrance. As I pulled into the parking lot at 6:57pm there was an employee outside who physically motioned (literally used his hand and made the motion of “slicing his throat”) and said, “we're closed!” Now let me remind you, I was still in my car pulling into the parking space. My boyfriend got out of the car and went up to the door where another man came and said through the glass, “we're closed”. This gentleman refused to even slightly open the door to have a conversation, so my boyfriend replied,, “it's not 7:00 yet.” At this time the initial man who was outside was now back inside and both these men were saying they were closed and we're refusing to let us in. When my boyfriend said we just wanted to purchase boxes the two men continued to argue and refuse to open the door. When my boyfriend told both men we were going to write a review, one of the men looked at him and gave him a “thumbs up” as he was walking away.I myself am in the customer service industry and feel as though this was by far the worse customer service experience I have ever endured! I work for a local company and just purchased a rental from this place a couple months ago. I will no longer be giving them my business and will ensure I let everyone know in this town never to go there! These two men need to be reprimanded. I would NEVER want employees like this representing my business. I always tell me employees, “treat the business as though it was your own.” If this was their business, these two men would have welcomed the customer inside and allowed the customer to make a purchase. That purchase would have meant an extra $100- $200 in sales. However, because it's not their business, they chose to exhibit poor customer service with a careless attitude.Future reference, if you market you close at 7pm and your doors state you close at 7pm, then you should close at 7pm, not a minute sooner!

Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. I simply wanted to utilize the air station for my bicycle. In the past, Ive repeatedly asked for permission yet each time It seemed like I was being silly for inquiring. So, with this in mind, I simply went right to the air pump. A gentleman immediately walked up to me and said, Cease what you are doing. This is not a gas station. In retort, I explained my previous encounters which seemed to fall on deaf in not dumb ears?!?! So after such a rude interaction, I went in to file a complaint but was informed that the rude individual in which I was complaining about was in fact the manager. So, as a last ditch effort to be the better of the two, I offered to pay a few dollars for the use of the air. The manager coldly replied as if I was asking for his first born, No. In defeat, I said, thank you, yet he remained silent and distant.I dont believe anyone should be treated as such especially as a customer. Also, not everyone who rides a bike is necessarily homeless. We might just be trying to offset the carbon dioxide imbalance! (Not that our socio-economic status should make a difference, anyways!)

I went to get boxes, I was walking after inquiring if the indeed had the sizes I needed I was told by a gentleman there were no Med. boxes, a women employee said yes there were, he said again no not any not one. She looked at me ( she was helping another customer) & said give me a moment please I will help you, I said ok. After ( witch was only a moment) she helped me. Not only did she know where one was but she knew were 40 were she helped me gather them up showed me how if you mix match the direction they take up less space helped me wrap them with my string and helped me package them in what I had brought large Ikea bags with heavy duty string to make an extra handle. She was brilliant I cant give any more than five stars but she should get 25 Stars I worked in retail for over 40 years and this woman her name is Patricia deserves some type of reward or at least acknowledgment which I hope this is doing for her this review to show that how she works and treats customers is exemplary. I need some more boxes and I will be going back to this store because of Patricia and I dont just tell people about bad experience I tell people about good experiences and trust me Ill be telling a lot of people about this store and the way Patricia made me feel comfortable and respected like people should treat each other she is by far not the normal but she should be thank you Patricia I hope we meet again the next time Im at your store.

I am so blessed I was driving by this business and called the number on the door.I was having problems with my insurance agent, not getting back to me and writing up policies that did not have the information i wanted on them.Adriana Han, picked up the phone and has been so amazing im almost worried shes too good to be true. She not only took my insurance from $4k a year down to 1800 dollars a year but she answered all my questions without making me feel like i was taking up too much of her time or like that information wasnt important to me.Shes been honest regarding discounts and upfront with pricing. I told her id give it one month to make sure nothing she did would come back to bite me. Im going to be switching all my vehicles and policies over to her in a month. Ill update this review if anything changes or happens but so far they have my business for life. thank you

Grand Welcome Vacation Rentals
2601 Airport Dr Suite 270, Torrance, CA 90505, United States
Unfortunately we were met with a number of unresolved issues.Arrival 4P Saturday July 2nd 2022. Email sent “Your Grand Welcome Arrival Instructions” “To unlock entry to home: “Keyless entry code is last 4 numbers of phone# the reservation made under. ZERO further information provided to us re- this rental.• Keyless entry not allowing access. No internet or phone service. Contact Grand Welcome at the #provided on the email for questions/problems. To do this we had to go back in our car, drive down the street until we had a “signal,” call the onsite # to explain we cannot get into the rental. The text response was “Here are a few codes that might help you with checking in at 4P. NOT one out of 5 codes worked that they gave us via text.• This occurred 4 more times of not being able to get in, 4 more texts with codes not working, back in our car 4 times with a 2 and 3 yr old. Finally, the onsite “maintenance” individual called us back, gave us the code to the owner lockbox where there was a KEY to enter. The maintenance individual stated he knew there was an issue with the keyless lock and why this wasn't fixed is anyone's guess?• 3 plus hours later we were able to gain access. We were stuck out in our car driving up and down the street to get a signal to call for access. Once inside there were ZERO instructions on, how to access WI-Fi, directions, guides, how to use the TV, phone, jacuzzi, etc.• No internet code provided? Get into our car once again, go down the street to text the onsite person how to access the internet, code? It was now 6:45 and received a text with the wi-fi password. This is again 3 plus hours later!• Once having wi-fi we could now text but unable to call out.• EMERGENCY SERVICES: “IF LOCATED IN AN AREA WITH INADEQUATE CELLULAR SERVICE, RENTALS SHALL CONTAIN A WORKING LANDLINE PHONE. If an emergency arose there was no method to call for help. There was an inoperable landline phone on the table. No instructions, directions and was not working. VERY concerning for safety. If we had a landline, we would have been able to communicate verses in and out of our car to get answers.• The description of the rental stated guest passes included. There were NO passes at the home, no information on how to access them so we had to text again. Their response came back at 5:47 Sat. evening after they called the owner to get the passes at the front desk. The day was already over so we lost out on pool/rec. access.• The microwave was broken, unable to use. Jacuzzi cloudy with ZERO instructions on use.• SAFETY ISSUES: California Residential Code requires functioning smoke & carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke alarms are required in each sleeping room and outside each sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms, and on each story of the dwelling. (This rental had no smoke detectors in master bedroom, & both downstairs bedrooms, and each level).• Carbon Monoxide alarms are required outside of each separate dwelling unit sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms, in addition to every level of the dwelling including basements. (Carbon Monoxide detectors in hallways only).• Fire extinguishers: should have one five-lb fire extinguisher installed at a readily av. Location near the kitchen. If multi level, a fire extinguisher must be mounted within each level. (One fire extinguisher located under kitchen sink). This experience was unfortunately dampened by the lack of accurate information including no information given on many fronts. The customer service was horrific when texting was their primary method of communication. Having a “manual” describing this rental, the how-to's would have eliminated many of these issues. We will definitely not reserve a rental where Grand Vacations is the manager of the property.Having a former property at Lake Tahoe that I rented out has opened my eyes to understanding the role/responsibility of the property management company in charge of my property. They ensured the renters had everything they needed and were always available to contact.
