I had a wonderful experience at this specific U-Haul. My reservation was available clean and ready for pick up. The ladies at the counter were very helpful and made the pick up process quick and easy. My rental was in good working order. The drop off process was even easier than the pick up. The manager did a wonderful job assisting my return. It was far more affordable than any other truck rentals that I looked into and something that I really appreciate. It was the fact that it was a little bit less than what I expected, compared to other companies who you sign up with get the rental and then end up getting charged extra money that you were not expecting on your account. Overall, I am grateful that this experience was stress-free, and what is typically a very stressful, moving, situation. I would highly recommend this location to anybody in need of a truck rental or equipment rental. I will certainly be using this location again if the need should arise.

Fill up your trucks and clean them. My truck was only a 1/4 tank. I was charged for not refilling when the needle didn't move. Also the sun visor on the truck was ripped off and missing. Very sub par customer service, there was no walk around and no one to go over the return with me. I was advised to just leave it and I'll get an email. As a result I was charged way more than my estimate. I worked for U-Haul for 3 years, and in that time I never was as lack luster as this location.

No star! Took hours for the guy to install a tow hitch on my car once… I arrived in Sacramento couldn't tow a trailer until their unsullied installer corrected the mess of an install done in Vacaville. Complete fiasco, then my fault for listening to them, Honda's cannot tow 1/2 of the weight they recommended, long story short, having a new transmission installed! Tow hitch $486, transmission job $2,600. If you don't have a truck don't tow! Don't listen to the young bucks in Vacaville ???

This is the second or third time Ive rented from this location. Dottie is the manager, and she is awesome. She answered every question I had about the van I was renting, and she made the entire experience fun. She stayed late just to make sure I got the model I wanted. Dottie went above and beyond. Thank you again, Dottie.

Be careful, the D-bag tried to guide me off the ramp while reversing my car of the car carrier while laughing with his partner. I figure it out while reversing the D-bag was pointing left and right as I started to reverse. I inched backwards a few times. As I inched backwards, I began not moving at all by just tapping on the break light and his direction in pointing change but the car did not move at all. So I tried it a few times and his pointing direction kept changing while the car didnt move and the car felt like it was crooked. I then put on the parking break and placed in park and stepped out to take a look and the car tire was sitting on the edge and pointing to go off the ramp. Thank goodness there was one good guy who notice what was going on and said he would help me from the other guys trying to screw me over. I wouldnt be surprise that they had done this before to innocent people. There was a total of more then 3 people doing absolutely nothing acting lazy!

Everything went well in the beginning until returning our truck . Employee stated we drove it 40 miles when it reality drove it less than 20 and even filled it with $25. Our charges went from 40 to 100 because of the suppose miles we drove it . The morning in which I was assisting my disabled and elderly dad move led to a negative experience . The manager stated they could not do anything about it . The miles listed on the contract match when we first got the truck . Again what didn't match was the Milage indicated on the odometer when we returned the truck . We had the truck form 8 to 11 am and even returned it at 9:30am . I do admit I should've second guessed getting the keys to the truck we were given since the manager stated to another employee that it recently had maintenance work done which leads me to believe issues with the truck was one for sure the odometer. (Corporate please feel free to check your indoor cameras for the managers words to another employee regarding the recent maintenance to the truck ) I will be making a formal complaint because it is a rip off to charge a costumer for something we honestly did not do. I have been a loyal customer for years and thankfully have had no issues prior to this but when you take my hard earned money for an injustice reason then we have a problem . I will look for another moving company in the future if my money is not refunded .

I used U-boxes for my move and I had a number of problems with the overall experience:CONS:1) Some difficulty trying to speak with someone at the location office, kept getting redirected to a phone center, was told multiple times that I would receive a call back but never did. The only way I ever got a hold of someone was by calling back over and over again.2) I specifically stated when I made my reservation that I needed a weight ticket done for reimbursement from my employer for the move. While the goods were weighed by some unspecified method, no weight ticket was furnished, so once I caught this prior to delivery, I had to do the self-delivery option in order to personally do the weights at a local truck scale, drop off each box and unpack them individually, which cost me a significant amount of time with all the driving back and forth to the U-haul store. It could have cost me much more had I not checked for this prior to delivery, because without my weight ticket I would not have been able to be reimbursed for the move.3) When I informed the office manager at the destination office of this mistake, he stated that I would receive a call from the representative from the location where I made the initial reservation, so they could respond to my complaint. I was never contacted.4) This service took longer and was more expensive than other options I looked into. The only reason I was forced to use this service over the others was the lack of equipment availability for the other services on such short notice.5) I do wish there had been some way for me to predict when the shipment would arrive. I kept calling while it was en route and the representatives could never specify the location of my U-boxes and they were always confused about what day they were shipped and when they would be expected to arrive, making it difficult for me to plan when to be available.I will highlight the pros, though:1) The worker who dropped off my empty U-boxes and picked them up once they were packed was very punctual, pleasant, accomodating of my schedule changes and extremely skilled at maneuvering it into an awkward space that made it easy for me to load them.2) I felt that all the representatives both on the phone and in person were very attentive, pleasant and as helpful as they could be, given the limitations of their system. They were very patient in explaining all the details of the service throughout the entire process.Because everything worked out in the end, I will not say that the service was poor, but I would advise anyone using this service to look into other professional moving services first. Also, if you need a weight ticket, make sure the representative who coordinates the reservation understands what exactly you require.

I rented a truck that I needed, with the agreement that it had to be back in 6 hours, for another customer who reserved it later in the day. I paid the full price that would usually be charged for 24hrs, out of desperation at the moment. I agreed because I needed it.I returned it within 3 hours, when I was done with my first trip, hoping maybe they could accommodate me with a smaller truck for the remainder of the 24hr period, since I was paying full price, and they had plenty small trucks. A small truck was also originally offered to me for a full 24hr period.I didnt make any demands and was not rude to anyone. Was just hoping maybe theyd help me out as a customer, given the circumstances. Rather than having an open discussion with me about it, I was basically immediately lectured and told that I agreed to the short rental, that they werent changing the contract, and that they didnt have to offer me anything outside of the contract CONVERSATION OVER.I told them I knew they didnt HAVE TO DO anything. I made a simple request and didnt understand why I was met with such resistance. The woman helping me was the ALL BUSINESS with a no customer service type personality, which is unnecessary. The business was empty and no one in line, as it was when I originally picked up the truck. Its a shame that no real customer service and friendliness is the norm these days. And I dont believe the customer is always right, but I do believe businesses should try, when they can. This is a newer storage business, clean inside and out, and nice facility.. Better customer service wouldve gotten repeat business from me, and referrals to friends for future business with them. I guess playing the hard role was worth to the person at the counter. Why help me with an available truck when you already have my money for a 3hr rental I guess, huh. Thanks Uhaul of Vaca Valley
Men In Black Transportation
3278 Main St, Chula Vista, CA 91911, United States
Absolute Nightmare. We had the misfortune of using MIB transportation services for our wedding day. We spent more than $4,000 on several shuttles and were incredibly disappointed... Never, ever again.... 1) HASSLES: We explained the details of our rehearsal & wedding day shuttles, more than 6 times over the phone, and when we requested them to send it to us in writing, it was incorrect 2 more times, adding so many more hassles to our wedding before it even began, 2) LATENESS: on our big day, they had some kind of inspection which made them 25 minutes late for the groom and groomsmen bus. Not only were we not notified, but the groom called at least 12 times on his wedding day and they were unable to tell him if, or when it would arrive. Then they proceeded to take the route with a road closure, resulting in half of the guests being over an hour late. There is an alternate route. (They deny the tardiness of our guests, however I have proof of this and would never make something like this up). Due to the lateness of the groom bus, my bridesmaid called MIB and was assured that they would dispatch another bus for us so the guests would not be late. This never happened.... 3)PENNY-PINCHING: When our bridal shuttle was 15 minutes late to leave they charged us an additional hour: a $130 fee, but did nothing for us when they made the groom and guests an hour late to our wedding. We had to postpone the ceremony and this substantially impacted our big day and itinerary. After all of this when we contacted management and discussed our concerns they simply did nothing to ensure our satisfaction. The owner was rude to my husband and told us to take him to small claims court. Unless you would like to have to deal with small claims court, I strongly urge you to work with a company that cares about your satisfaction and takes ownership of their mistakes.
