U-Haul Moving & Storage of Chula Vista
99 N 4th Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
Everything went well in the beginning until returning our truck . Employee stated we drove it 40 miles when it reality drove it less than 20 and even filled it with $25. Our charges went from 40 to 100 because of the suppose miles we drove it . The morning in which I was assisting my disabled and elderly dad move led to a negative experience . The manager stated they could not do anything about it . The miles listed on the contract match when we first got the truck . Again what didn't match was the Milage indicated on the odometer when we returned the truck . We had the truck form 8 to 11 am and even returned it at 9:30am . I do admit I should've second guessed getting the keys to the truck we were given since the manager stated to another employee that it recently had maintenance work done which leads me to believe issues with the truck was one for sure the odometer. (Corporate please feel free to check your indoor cameras for the managers words to another employee regarding the recent maintenance to the truck ) I will be making a formal complaint because it is a rip off to charge a costumer for something we honestly did not do. I have been a loyal customer for years and thankfully have had no issues prior to this but when you take my hard earned money for an injustice reason then we have a problem . I will look for another moving company in the future if my money is not refunded .

So glad we found BJ Rentals to not only rent grinding equipment from but also to be there for our myriad questions throughout the process. Our sales rep, Larry, took an hour to not just show us how to set up the equipment, he walked us through the steps and let us grind a bit of crete to get a feel for it. We had a rough start with thick glue so he overnighted the best pads. He was there for us every step of the way and was gracious when we ran into a glitch returning the equipment. (Bad accident coming back from Mammoth closed the road for four hours, then we hit rain and had to stop to cover the equipment then drive slowly with a flapping tarp!) In the end the floor turned out great for a forty-year-old slab. And we got a lot of satisfaction by doing the work ourselves... with a lot of help from BJ Rentals! I can highly recommend this business!

Poor gate hours and extremely ironically so. I was attracted her because they supposedly offer 24/7 access, but then I got here with my stuff and I was told, well thats only for businesses. I was like, thats too bad, but at least I have a business I can put it under, right? Wrong again, they didnt have any vacant units, and rarely ever do. Being tight on time for the day and needing to return my rental truck I stored here anyway, just to realize the m-f GATE HOURS are from 8-5:50...meaning you have to be done with your stuff and out of there by 5:50 or guess What? They try and charge you a $150 CASH FEE for late exit. Can they even force you to pay cash for such a fee when they can accept card??? Not to mention there are a dozen other fees that you can have for would be ridiculous instances...and theyre not simply $5 or $10 fees either. Clean facility, but you never have access to your stuff.
Trailer Rental at U-Haul

Fill up your trucks and clean them. My truck was only a 1/4 tank. I was charged for not refilling when the needle didn't move. Also the sun visor on the truck was ripped off and missing. Very sub par customer service, there was no walk around and no one to go over the return with me. I was advised to just leave it and I'll get an email. As a result I was charged way more than my estimate. I worked for U-Haul for 3 years, and in that time I never was as lack luster as this location.

If you miss your payment, they lock your storage, which is everyone. However, even after you make the payment and call/email/text, they refuse to open your storage because apparently, it's an inconvenience to unlock it. No one is ever in the office so I don't understand how they are super quick to lock it and then are never available to unlock it. Oh, and you can never speak to someone who works at that location because they use a third party-so they never have to hear you complain. Worst storage experience, worst customer service. This happened twice and I called approximately 5-6 times. And, don't blame the third party cuz it's not them, it's YOU.*“You don't need staff to remove the lock, we text you a code” -storage response*No, you don't send a code. I called, texted. No one could give me this fake code you're talking about. Payment was made shortly after the due date and I called 1 month prior to going to my unit and it was still locked.Whether you provide a code, my payment was late, or whatever the case; you have the worst customer service. I was never able to reach an associate or manager for assistance. I got the runaround every time. It was frustrating to say the least. You NEED staff to take care of your clients. You're failing them.
Security Public Storage

UPDATE: I was not just shown the unit I rented it, it had been advertised for a while online and the other units appear to be in similar condition. Now I am wondering why I was charged full price for a unit that was offline for repairs as the owner said in his reply to my review. Very disappointed in this business.Needed a storage unit on short notice so came here as there seems to be a shortage and many places dont have larger units. Was very disappointed at the quality of the unit, it was very dirty, appeared to have insect droppings and possibly orange mold on top. I did not feel great about leaving my stuff in the unit but needed to store them somewhere. I am now considering what to keep given how dirty the unit was.The staff is friendly and they did allow me to see the unit prior to renting. Good experience with the staff besides not getting a returned call when I called as they had customers in the office and another representative telling me I could not remove the $12 insurance. If you care about the condition and cleanliness of the unit where you are leaving your stuff I would look elsewhere. Price appears competitive with other places I called

Manager is rude and condescendingBasically I was offered a quote for 84 dollars with a first month free for a unit by an associate, I guess the people at that location weren't available so someone whose name is Dave or so he said that was her his name offered me that unit at that price. However, when I got an email with the quote, the price was reflecting the discount that this Dave person had given me who by the way was a very incredibly nice person and so I decided to call the location in Homes that the actual manager of that specific location would answer which she did. I wanted to ask about why the quote was different than what I was told and as soon as she answered, she interrupted me by saying “let me finish first and then you can ask your question”. She was on speaker and my husband overheard and we both agreed that that was incredibly rude. She moved on to ask me about the policy number on the insurance that I had for that unit and wouldn't stop harassing until I gave her that number, she talked over me before I asked any questions(mind you this was before I even signed the contract to rent this unit). Eventually she allowed me to speak and she said “now what's your question” to which I proceeded to say I was offered a quote by a person I talked on the phone whose name was Dave. He offered me a discount for $84 a month but it's not reflecting on my contract. To which she responded in the ugliest, most disrespectful way and in an incredible condescending manner “well I don't know who Dave is, you need to call and figure out who this “Dave” is and ask him”. At that point I was very tired of being disrespected and so I said “can you cancel everything” she said “okay, bye”.I posted a vague review on Google maps to which she called back around 2 hours after and I handed the phone to my husband (I was going through a lot at the time and I didn't want to be disrespected any further) and so she proceed (with a completely different tone) to say how she can definitely give me that discount, and apologized (because her manager was there) and my husband explained how it things were communicated in an incredibly rude manner.I ended up renting with Extra Space whereI was treated kindly.
CHULA VISTA AUTO REGISTRATION SERVICE
696 Broadway Ste A, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States
This place was awesome! I had to change the title of my car to a salvaged vehicle and renew my registration. Was dreading going to the DMV and when I finally went to do it, I was missing some of my papers. My friend told me about this place so went to see what they could do for me, and it was one of the best decisions I could've made. Rebecca was so helpful and made a situation that I thought was going to be long and dreadful, quick and painless. If you can get what you need done here, you can forget about the DMV. Highly recommended.
Chula Vista Bayfront Park

Its not a real beach area it was man made by the navy many many years ago and its made to hide the fact that it hides sandiegos former garbage dump where after many years of being under the warm waters of sandiego bay, all that garbage is now cooking and sending off toxic gases inro the atmosphere. And what the incoroorated villages dont want you to know is when any person goes into the warm waters of mission bay with an open cut or wound those gases that are being released into the atmosohere contain molecules, these molecules get into a oersons bloodsteeam through an ooen cut or wound, and kill that person. The crooked city officials refuse to put out the correct public service safety announcement which would be do not go into the waters of mission bay with an open cut or wound. Or risk of death may occure. Instead they give a standard warning which is dont go into the water after a rain. I think most people should know that one because of the wash out of lawn and garden chemicals into the storm drains. The reason why officials do not want to give a specific public service safety instructions is actually pretty selfish and simple to figure out. They dont want further lawsuits against the city and dont be fooled ladys and gentleman this goes back alot of years this city has been aware of this issue. If you have had a loved one die as a result of contaminated waters in mission bay, you need to consult attorneys imediately the time limit for filing this lawsuit is time sensitive as californias rules only allow you 2 years to go back and file for your lawsuits, officials did not want to raise suspicions as to where that string of deaths arose from, for fear of tourism stopping from coming to sandiego, home values may drop, home sales would drop rents would become much much lower than they are right now. And last everyone will want to sell their homes suddenly and quickly before the word gets out and they cant give them away.if not they may just have to walk away from their homes. Hatefull and greedy sandiego people who used to bash and punish the homeless will then be homeless no longer able to live up on that hill and look down and pass judgement upon the homeless. As now comes their turn to become homeless and have that same hate they gave to those who were homeless, now will be passed onto them for simoly being homeless. I guese that would be karma coming back arround 360 degrees. Whats your thoughts in this subject... Things that make you go Hmmm.......
