U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

Miguel, manager had told me when I bought 5 wardrobe boxes from him a couple weeks back I could return any unused boxes for a refund, fair enough! Today when I walked in to ask for him to buy back a couple boxes I did not use, they were in the same spot in my truck as Miguel put them, he had his back turned to me the whole time refusing to assist me with the buy back. His assistant whose body took up at least 3/4 of the room in the office gave me a sheepish look and was right to the book. I left in the mid conversation with Miguel because once again he had his back turned to me belligerent the whole time. Called a Neighborhood U-Haul? I would not think of it in this way.Would I recommend you to do business with Miguel and Thumbalina? NO! Not at all. Disappointed Buyer in Los Angeles 90045
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Inglewood
964 S La Brea Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
U-Haul of Inglewood was all bad -- from start to finish. I literally had seven different problems: can't count on the on-line system; they don't follow their own procedures; they don't have helpful staff; their management was incompetent, rude and dishonest; they literally asked me to buy parts to repair their non-operational equipment; it took 1.5 hours to get a trailer; and then they hit me with surprise fees. Here're the details:1. Can't count on the on-line system. I initially reserved elsewhere on-line. Within minutes, I got a call from U-Haul saying that, no, they didn't really have available trailers there and I was being switched to U-Haul of Inglewood.2. Don't follow their own procedures. The email and on-line said I would get an advance call from my site to go over arrangements. Never happened, although they had several days to call. I had to call U-Haul on my way there. Got no warning of problems. BUT, believe me, there were problems.3. Don't have helpful staff. Got to the site, drove through their lot passing multiple trailers that matched my specs without seeing anyone out there. So much for “advance check-in to expedite your pick-up”. Went inside, went straight to a counter with no line, but waited for minutes trying to get the attention of the clerk sitting right there. She was too busy with her phone to notice me waving or hear me trying to talk to her through the plexiglass barrier. She then told they didn't have a trailer for me, even though I'd seen several on the lot, but couldn't explain why not. She claimed the ones I'd seen, “must be reserved.” I pointed out I had a reservation, so one should be reserved for me. Didn't help. So, over to the assistant manager.4. Incompetent, rude, dishonest management. The assistant manager started the conversation by telling me I didn't need to be inside, “they could have taken care of you outside.” I told her that no one was in sight outside. She told me I was wrong. We went outside. No one was in sight. Still no explanation of why no trailer.5. Didn't have a key part, wanted me to buy it elsewhere, come back and effectively donate it to them. It turned out, they claimed, that their trailers' wiring harnesses had been stolen. They wanted me to go to AutoZone, buy one, and let them cut it up so they could splice it to their trailer's wiring. First had an argument with the assistant manager who literally wanted to insist that the trailers were fully equipped, they just couldn't be used without the missing equipment. Then had to argue about getting reimbursed for buying the missing part. (Goes back to incompetent, rude, dishonest management.)6. Total time to get out with a trailer – despite no customers ahead of us – was about 1.5 hours. As anyone knows who's had a time window for a move, we were between a rock and a hard place. So, we went through with it, and finally got out.7. Surprise fee on the final bill. They asked us if we could still have it back by 6:00 pm. We said we could. They said – only then – that they close at 5:30, but, “No problem – just leave the trailer. We'll check it in in the morning and you'll get the receipt by email.” We asked if they were sure there was no problem. They said yes. That was all they said. Despite them holding us up by 1.5 hours, we had the trailer back by 6:15 pm. We took pictures to prove it. Nevertheless, with no warning that this would happen, the bill arrived with an “After Hours Service Fee” tacked on. The fee more than doubled the original quoted rental cost. So, no, I have nothing good to say about U-Haul of Inglewood. Bad experience from start to finish. Go anywhere else.

They answered the phone on the 4th ring on a Sunday morning (after the Marina del Rey location never did ... many attempts). The guy who answered knew his stock status, immediately. Checking in was easy, and he went into the floor to get a crevice cleaner part. All in all, it was a seamless experience, renting a shop vac. Friendly, too.

I rarely write reviews, but my experince has pretty much ruined the last few days of my vacation. Ive reached out to the company a few times and feel as if they have no regards to what is happening. Very robotic response from each agent I speak to, barely any empathy.I rented my car for 8 days. A Premium Suv to give our family with two carseats as well as a lot a luggage some extra room. It was a great experience while picking up at LAX. Actually, what makes this review a two star instead of negative a thousand stars was the worker (I am sorry, I did not get his name) at the door. He greeted us and saw that we has ALOT of baggage, two car seats, as well as a baby and a 7 year old. He took it upon himself to check us in (didnt need to go to the counter), brought our car up front for us to load, as well as even helped us carry luggage to our car. He was the best thing that happend during this experience.Fast forward to our second to last day. It was our last day to spend at Disneyland. We were all ready and loaded into the car, and the car does not turn on. The battery died! I called ALAMO and they set us up to get roadside asssistance to jump our car for the next morning because I was not going to wait any longer and miss out on our last day at Disneyland. They also arranged us to swap out our car at a nearby ENTERPRISE (same company). They asked if I felt comfortable driving the car that died after we jump it!? Uh, no. Especially not with a 10 month old and 7 year old! She did put me on a hold to call that location to ensure that they will have a car reserved for us. Which she confirmed they did! Here we are, the next day (our last day of our vacation) stressing about this situation, not even enjoying what little time I have left In California. My husband calls me from that rental car location to tell me that they DO NOT HAVE A CAR FOR US. That we have to drive further out to John Wayne airport. I called Alamo again, and told them that the agent whom arranged our exchange called that location to confirm that our car was available!!! No, this time the agent said they cannot guarantee our car will be there. Instead, I can wait for a car to become available, which can be later in the afternoon/evening. No, I cannot wait! This is my last day here, I have things to do before flying home! I am not spending my day waiting at the hotel! or two, try to go to that location. So that is where we are at now. Husband is at the location, praying that they have a car that can at least fit us all and our luggage. Not to mention, they charge $67 dollars to send someone to jump THEIR CAR.I understand if I left my key in the car, or even got a flat tire. But the battery is beyond my control. I make sure all lights are off etc. I also had to spend more money to arrange to take the bus to disneyland. and that experience was bad bc my child got sick from no ac in the bus coming back as well as a bumpy ride. She ended up throwing up the moment we got off the bus.Ive never had such a bad experience renting a car. Not only did it ruin my last vacation days, I had to pay extra to just have a car that works! Not to mention, pay for an alternative transportation.Update: the second location only has a sedan available. We would not be able to fit all of our baggage. I have no idea what we will do. This is such a horrible experience.
Legends - Luxury Car & Sprinter Van Rentals
204 Hindry Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
Edgar and team went over and beyond with communication, vehicle photos and service commitment tk bring us a fair price and solid vehicle for our trip to San Fran. We also had a few seniors aboard and they were able to get in safely and were most comfortable with the recliner-seats and road experience. There was a flat screen in the vehicle and when we could get it to work I called Edgar on his cell at night and he was more then obliged to walk me through how to get it work vs most companies would have a voice mail on to get back to you next day. Really appreciated the customer service.Vehicle was decent on gas and the vehicle return was pretty easy. One of the vehicles did have dent on it but not so noticeable to the natural eye. We were given a slight discount. It was a great experience and I wanted to share it. I'd surely use their services again and again.
Travellers Autobarn Campervan Rentals Los Angeles

TO FLEE !!!!Traveling for the 2nd time to the USA in May 2023. We had an accident with the rented van (we were absolutely not at fault, the police report indicates this in black and white). The company brought a tow truck to Utah (site of the accident) to repatriate us to Las Vegas (nearest agency). We had to manage to find accommodation that night and then arrived when the agency opened the next morning. No other van to rent and they told us to manage to get back to San Francisco (agency where we had rented the vehicle). Our van is already in the garage even though we have half of our stuff inside. We collect our things and manage to rent a car for a Las Vegas-San Francisco trip. The agency clearly tells us that we will not have to pay any costs regarding the repairs to the vehicle because we were not at fault. Our trip is therefore shortened by 6 days. We therefore request a refund at the end of the rental given that there are no other vehicles available and that the refund is notified in the conditions of the contract. They tell us they will see about it later. We call them back twice during the end of our stay to find out if we have anything to sign regarding the end of the rental and to find out where our file stands. We returned to France 2 weeks later and discovered an email telling us that we owe them $9500!!!!!! Then another email saying that it ended up being $6500. I would like to point out that when we had the accident we realized that the vehicles insurance had not been in order for a few months....A long fight was therefore waged, they threatened us ++ by email but had no official invoice to present to us.We rented with another company the first year and would have been better off staying with them rather than trusting Autobarn Travelers.Very very bad experience.
