Enterprise Rent-A-Car
3851 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92105, United States
I'm happy to give a 5-star review to the staff at Enterprise Rent-A-Car on El Cajon Blvd. in San Diego. Specifically, my dealings with the branch manager Lindsay were pleasant and helpful, as she was happy to answer all my questions and accommodate my rental requests.I recently moved cross country to San Diego for a new job, and rented a vehicle from Enterprise on El Cajon Blvd. for approximately two months after my arrival. I came to CA with a foreign (Canadian) driver's license and was required by the CA DMV to pass a written and road test. The wait time for a CA DMV road test was nearly 6 weeks, forcing me to rent a car in the interim. Additionally, I needed to use this rental car for my DMV road test.Lindsay and her staff helped me make sure I had the complete vehicle registration and was signed up for the proper insurance coverage through Enterprise for the day of my road test. They made it simple to add and remove the insurance for just the single day (relied on my credit card coverage otherwise). As well, I had two-month long reservations in two different cars at two different rates, and Lindsay made sure I could stay in the same car and pay the same rate, to streamline the process. Finally, I had two small paint scratches show up on my rented vehicle during my rental contract (likely from a shopping cart or parking lot mishap). I was fearful of the damage report and extra charges (and looming fight with my credit card insurance provider to be reimbursed). Lindsay informed me the scratches were under the limit for the Enterprise damage evaluator tool, and there was no problem at all.All-in-all, it was excellent service, and made the whole process painless and enjoyable (which I very much appreciated). I know the expectations on and risks of a rental car make customer service in this industry very challenging, so having such a seamless experience was truly great!
U-Haul Moving & Storage of El Cajon
1186 E Main St, El Cajon, CA 92021, United States
My fiancé and I moved across country this past December from El Cajon, California to Jacksonville, Florida and needed to find a way to get our belongings out there. We called and received several quotes from various moving companies and found U-Haul to be the cheapest and quickest company able to get us our stuff to Florida. After weighing all of the options, we decided to go with one of there U-Box shipping containers. The closest location to our house was the U-Haul in El Cajon. To rent and load your stuff into a U-Box, you have a few options- you can have them bring it to your house for an extra fee to load it, you can bring all of your stuff and pack it into the U-Box at their location or you can pick it up yourself with your own vehicle. We decided to have my father come with his truck to pick it up so we could load it ourselves. We spoke with the general manager on 11/25/20 (who seemed to be under the influence of meth/cocaine) about what we needed to do to pick this box up, and he said all we needed to do was show up and get it. We made plans with my father to take the morning off work that Friday to help us pick it up in his truck. On 11/27/20, we showed up to pick up the U-Box and the same manager was working. He said oh you cant pick it up, you need a 24 hour in advance reservation to get it. What?!?! We were like, do you remember us? We were just here a day ago and you told us to just come get it. He told us sorry, you still have to make a reservation (even though the U-Box was sitting RIGHT OUTSIDE the office and NO ONE was going to be using it!!! We then had to ask my father to again take time off from his schedule to come back the following day on 11/28/20 to pick up the U-Box. The manager said to be there when they open at 8:30 so we could get first in line, and when we showed up they dont even open until 9!!!! So we finally get the U-Box loaded up to take home and the manager tells us to drop it back off by Monday 11/30/20 so we can guaranteed have our items shipped to us in Florida by 12/17/20. We take it home and load it, and bring it back only to find out we cant even drop it off!!! We need to bring it at a specific time because they dont have forklift operators during the entire day!!! So we bring it back at the specified time and finally get this thing shipped. Then it is a complete disaster once it gets to Florida- they ship it to the wrong location and actually lose/cant find our U-Box!!!! So we dont end up being able to locate and get into it until 12/23/20, at which point U-Haul is threatening to charge me another $90 worth of storage for keeping the box longer than a month if we dont get our stuff out of it by 12/28/20. Keep in mind, I am almost 8 months pregnant by this time and have to deal with all of this while my fiancé is at work for the Navy!!!! Then, to top it all off, they tell me I cant just come get my things out of the U-Box, that I need a 24 hour reservation to pick it up and on top of that, they DOUBLE CHARGE MY DEBIT CARD taking thousands of dollars out of my account.......! Please, please, please- take our advice- spend the extra money going with another moving company and dont get taken advantage of by U-Haul- we certainly will NEVER use them again!!!!

Honestly if can give no 0stars I would Latherio Hoffman shouldn't be working in customer service. June 24th around 6pm when I thought I did a reservation there. Everyone was busy. But Mr Hoffman was busy cleaning his car and smoking a black&mild (cigarette) right outside the door. Came to help me after I was inside for the past 10 minutes. He was very short answer and not explain why my reservation didn't go through. He was getting annoyed and rolling his eyes and giggling. He didn't care. Until Gerald stepped in and said I'm sorry for the inconvenience we unfortunately don't have anything under my name and that the system didn't reserve for me. He recommended me to go to national city uhual because they have them there. I did another reservation the following week July 1st same place at, where I had the terrible incident with Latherio Hoffman because it was a convenient place for me. MrHoffman tried to be nice this time but he wasn't listening to me. I picked up 7/1/23 6:15pm told mr hoffman I needed the uhual for 24hrs. He wrote return time 3:15pm on 7/2/23. He charge me 35 miles when I told him 28 miles. And I asked him if can do anything about the mileage cost for the inconvenience from the last week and said “nah “ I didn't argue and took what ever because nothing good would come out of arguing with him. Terrible customer service by Latherio Hoffman. He should work somewhere that doesn't involve people.
U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

I liked how strong the engine ran. Also, the cab in back was short enough to park in apt complex, while leaving room for customers to get by. Staff was helpful and friendly as well.

Doug Steiner - State Farm Insurance Agent
2456 Fletcher Pkwy, El Cajon, CA 92020, United States
Ive been with Doug Steiner office before he took over the previous agent who I loved as well. Id say Ive been with state farm since the early 90s. I have the car and life insurance, my son has the car and insurance for his home and the youngest will be added shortly once he gets his license. I almost forgot my mom, she has car insurance through Doug as well. And I always brag about the service hes given me. My bestie just joined him a few months ago. Hes really a great man. Hes taken care of me, my family and friends. . Hes a family household name. Hes really helped me and my family more than you know. He and his team return my calls immediately!!! I have been in an accident and they really took care of me. I know many people arent educated on insurance but my friend became an insurance agent based on his lack of knowledge on coverage, he thought paying his measly 50.00 monthly service with this unknown company, would cover him in an accident, little did he know he had no coverage for himself and no car. All I can say is get the highest coverage, because if you dont have enough coverage, the damage you cause to someone, and if your coverage doesnt cover the damages, they will go after your earnings. Please please dont tailgate, my words of advice. P.s.i love the ability to talk to an agent 24/7. While shopping for a car after hours we were able to leave the car lot fully covered. And get life insurance!!! Dont leave your loved ones to have to ask for go fund me help. As much as I want to give, I cant. I made it my responsibility to care for my family after I have passed. If youre a homeowner and or have children. You want them to live comfortable as possible without you. If you choose Doug as your agent, it will be your best investment you made for you and your family. Just sayin...
El Patron Harley-Davidson
621 El Cajon Blvd, El Cajon, CA 92020, United States
Must stop location!! The atmosphere, the selection of both apparel and bikes, the crew, was all top notch! Make sure you ask for Kyler! My husband and I travel all over the country and we stop at every Harley Davidson shop along the way. We collect the poker chips. Out of the hundreds of shops we've been too, this is now at the top of our list. We went in for a chip and they had a couple 48's for sale. My husband has been wanting one for years now to customize. We were met by Kyler, a sales rep there shortly after we walked in and when I say he made sure we were happy and got exactly what we wanted and for the price we wanted to stay in, I mean it. He went above and beyond for us. And the best part, he actually listened to us and what we wanted. He wasn't pushy, didn't try to talk us into something else and went to work for US. We've been to shops where we've been brushed off entirely or they tried to push us to what they wanted to sell not what we wanted. There was none of that with Kyler. He treated us like a friend. This was our 9th Harley purchase and 2nd in the last 6 months so we are no stranger to the process. Since my husband and I were traveling and not intending on buying a bike, they were even nice enough to store the bike for us until we could get what we needed in to haul it back when we were ready to make our way back home. We live in Missouri, so it's no means an easy trip, but we will be doing all our future purchases through El Patron and will be asking for Kyler every time. Thank you for being so awesome to us Kyler, you have customers for life with us and will be referring anyone we meet wanting a bike to you.
Caliber Collision
332 N Johnson Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020, United States
1. Manager, Matt, and Service Writer, Trevor, were not on the same page which resulted in a “bait & switch” situation involving my initial estimate and drop off.2. Service Writer spoke down about manager repeatedly and said “don't listen to him” when confronted about situation #1.3. Service Writer became threatening during situation #2 and said he would be “buttoning” up the car so I can take it elsewhere.4. Service writer did not adequately communicate timelines. He would repeatedly tell me to pick up tomorrow, then tell me there was a delay. This occurred for 10 days.5. Service Writer then quit communicating and responding to my texts, which was the preferred method of communication as stated by the shop. So a phone call ensued.6. Phone call in situation #5 was for an update on picking up my vehicle. Service writer states fuses are blown (something unrelated to what we brought the vehicle in for). Tells me my car is old and it was a problem when we brought it in (vehicle is maintained with service records in a family that owns an automotive shop). I ask questions, service writer starts laughing at me.7. As a result of situation #6, service writer informs me it looks like they'll have my car for longer and “will be in touch whenever it's ready”.8. I report situation #7 to insurance and they call the shop, twice, for an update and are hung up on or are put on hold for over 30min. This is per USAA property damage claims rep Jared Gomez.9. Manager calls me to tells me something happened to the car and every fuse is blown. They need another few days. They refuse to let me come look at it at this point.10. Manager drops off to my husband's mechanic shop with several issues involving acceleration. Technician runs a scantool and resets modules. Tech informs me that Caliber Collision jump started the vehicle “backwards” which resulted in fried fuses.11. Upon entry of vehicle, we notice dashcam has been ripped from a direct-mount installation. Dashcam now is broken and requires replacement.12. Per Bureau of Automotive Repar, it is against their laws to alter a customer vehicle without their consent. This includes the removal and uninstall of constant recording devices. Manager informed us via email it was shop policy. Manager could not provide any written literature or agreements I had signed stating that. Had the manager informed of us an existing shop policy in the beginning, the dashcam would've properly been removed.Overall, we are very dissastisfied with this service and will do what we can to recommend friends and family seek another shop.
Team Mazda of El Cajon

Terrible. The sales manager Tim in particular is your typical greedy, arrogant, car salesman. Are you looking for some good down to earth people to give you a good deal on a car? Don't come here. These guys only care about profit, not their customers.I went here viewing a 2022 CX-5 that was listed at $24,900. Kelly Blue Book has this exact car (certified from dealer value) at $22,000-$24,900. Again, this is using the exact miles, trim, certification… I advised the sales guys the car is on the highest end of price ranges based on other listed CX-5 at other dealerships and by KBB it is a little high. I asked I they can come down even a couple hundred dollars. They refused, printed out some bogus “JD Power Values at $26,800” bogus. Even though CarFax says it is over priced, and so does KBB. I went home and took a day to think about it as to not make a rash decision. I liked my sales rep Dalton so much because he was the ONLY honest, good hearted, genuine human being in the building. Just mainly because of Dalton, I decided I would go back and buy it the next day. This is where it gets worse. The very next day I go back to the dealership to buy the car for $24,900 (still too high. There are 3 other Mazda dealerships selling this EXACT car certified and all for thousands less) but I was going to bite the bullet and buy it. I loaded up my 4 month old baby, my 2 year old daughter, and my breastfeeding wife into our car in the pouring rain and drove 45 min to the ghetto of El Cajon to buy this car. When I sat down to finally do the paperwork, the sales team handed me My new outdoor price. The problem is they raised the price of the car to $25,200 ($300 more than 24 hours ago). I gently advised that I would like them to honor the price I saw yesterday. My sales rep went back to Tim the sales manager who simply refused to lower the price by $300 back to what it was 24 hours ago. At this point, I had wasted almost 2 hours in the pouring rain with my kids crying in the car. I requested to talk to the manager. Tim came out and told me that he sells 80 cars a month and he doesn't care if I buy this car or not. He was very arrogant and unprofessional. I told him I would buy it at the original price. He refused basically saying he doesn't need or want my business. It's a pride thing. Dalton is a wonderful human being just trying to take care of his family and stayed 2 hours late to sell me this car all to have Tim's pride and ego deny him the sale over $300. I wasn't asking for a discount, i was simply asking for them to honor yesterday's price. Go to Mazda of Escondido. They have the same exact car with 7,000 less miles for $1,000 less AND certified. For contrast, my next stop was to Honda down the road. When I asked the Honda dealership for a good deal, they immediately offered to negotiate their already fair price by lowering up to $1,000. Take your business anywhere but this place. Ownership needs to get rid of Tim and stopOver pricing their cars.
Parkway Club Apartments
1237 Graves Ave, El Cajon, CA 92021, United States
We Lived here for only one year and let me tell you this place has great things about it but theres more cons than pros at this place. All these 5 star reviews are fake! First off they charged us a $500 holding fee which was non refundable. They turned off our water without a simple email or phone call. When we first moved in everything worked except for our refrigerator. Our first fridge only the fridge worked not the freezer then the one we got only the freezer worked. We had a 6 month at the time and we had to throw away most of our groceries! Took them 6 weeks to get us a working refrigerator. Theres always a woman screaming across my apartment. idk why or who it is Honestly its hard to tell whats going on. Landscaping comes every Thursday morning before 8 am so if you work late like I was they will wake you up. Maintenances door is below my apartment and they are always slamming their door aggressively. We get 2 parking spots if you have a 2 bedroom so that was nice. Also were right next to 1 of the 2 pools so during summertime its SUPER noisy with children screaming non stop for hours! I kid you not the parents weren't even at the pool watching their own kids. Not only that there was a handful of times where 15-20 teenagers would hop the fence and play loud music until 11:30 pm which is past 10pm close time for the pool. The ironic thing is one time i was in the spa until 10 minutes past 10pm and one of the security guards told me to the pool was closed. Where the hell was this same security guard when all these teenagers were hanging out past 11. The carpet and cabinets are all updated and new but the slider and windows are HORRIBLE and just leave a lot of the outside cold air trapped inside the apartment. It Honestly feels like your sleeping outside and all the windows get condensation everywhere really bad at night so using A/C & heat is out of the question. During the day the apartment is colder than outside temperature. There is no laundry unit inside. Their laundry room was NEVER clean and their washers are outdated and wont clean your clothes properly. Washing your laundry here is really expensive which costs $20 for 4 small loads! Maintenance team is okay but understaffed. There was a major leak in our sons room and they had to fix that which was a big repair & things happen I get it. It did take them almost two months to get us a working fridge though which is not okay! Now that our lease is ending soon they raised our rent 257 dollars a month not including utilities which is ten percent. We decided to move out because 2,833 a month is expensive For El Cajon along with all the out of control homelessness digging in all the dumpsters. Also theres ALWAYS a police helicopter circling directly above our apartment for 2 hours describing the suspects description at least two times a week. Your apartment # doesnt match your mailbox # so its super confusing. There is a gym available but is very small and limited to what you can do. dont clean or dust off the gym at all. The leasing office is closed on Sundays so there no way to reach anyone if you get locked out of your apartment. Dog park area is horrible with lots of poo everywhere even on the sidewalks! So Look I know it sounds like I may have high standards but I just want to warn others that are considering to rent here at Parkway Club. Missionaries every week were knocking on our door but we didnt answer. We cleaned the apartment & filled in all the holes we made in the walls. Moved out on the 23rd of February and was still charged the full month which was a $540.00 difference for rent through a 3rd party app to pay rent and after everything we still owed them over $200.
