National Car Rental
9020 Aviation Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
Ive been a long time Emerald Club member and have always had pretty smooth experiences renting vehicles where everything went just fine. This time, I had a wrinkle. I lost my key fob and so began a day when I first was very disappointed in Nationals customer service until near the end when my adventure ended on a high note and proved that its when things go south, its how the company responds to your issue that determines whether theyre a good business to deal with and I will remain a loyal National customer as a result. When I reported the lost car fob, National responded quickly saying they would dispatch a tow to get the car and would send an Uber on their dime to take me to a local Enterprise location where a replacement car would be assigned to me. Great, except the Uber dropped me off at the incorrect address leaving me stranded. I called the local office and was told that there was no paperwork for a car for me, they had heard nothing about it and moreover, even if there was paperwork, there were no cars available and they were closing in less than 10 minutes. I was advised that I could likely get a car at the LAX location and they would arrange that and another Uber to take me there. I was transferred to a line that after a seemingly endless message, it ended with telling to call back during business hours and then went dead. Suffice to say I was not amused.I elected to call my own Uber and when I arrived at the LAX location was told that there was nothing in the system about a replacement car for me. It took some time, but the 2 guys whos names I dont remember were remarkably patient and diligently tried to get the system to conform to the situation. It seemed to take forever but eventually they worked it out and said from here I could go choose a vehicle and leave the lot. Before leaving, one of the guys apologized profusely for the difficulties Id experienced and asked what he could do to at least partially atone. I told him it was not his fault and he personally had nothing to be sorry for. He then asked if I had paid for my ride to LAX and I told him I did. He then asked for the cost of the ride and said he would take that off the invoice total and following that, offered to credit another $50. While I would not get back the day this whole thing had cost me, I was impressed at the attempt to offer me some degree of offset and that a local employee was empowered to do something for the customer. In the end, losing the fob was entirely my fault but the way National stepped up to deal with the situation despite some setbacks was impressive and I remain a loyal customer.
Budget Car Rental
636 S La Brea Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
While entire experience budget has been horrifying to say the least. We rented a cargo van one-way from Las Vegas to LA. Our first complaint happened before we left the lot. The side door didnt close all the way and numerous lights were on (brake pad, etc). We were told oh its fine and they documented on our paper work the pre-existing issues. On our way to LA another light came on saying the tire pressure was low. We filled it and proceeded with our drive. 20 mins later the tire pressure alert came on again this tire the tire was flat. We stopped at a gas station and called roadside assistance. After hours of waiting and calls no one came. Lucky for us someone called AAA and they changed the tire. We returned the van Jan. 16, made a complaint and left. A little over 24 hrs later we received a call from roadside asking if we still needed assistance. A week later we received a call saying we didnt return the van. Fast forward to Jan 28 we received a very hostile saying they reported the van stolen and that we were going to be arrested, tyat they called LABrea and they said they dont have it. Today we went to the LaBrea location (where we returned the van) to find out whats going on. We checked the lot and they van is there parked in the back. We waited for the supervisor. We informed him of the situation, he checks our receipt and goes and grabs the keys we returned from the back. He checks the vehicle and not only do they have it but they moved it because it is in a different spot from where we parked. He said he will have the ticket closed for the date we returned it. He offered to email the receipt but we opted for a paper copy. I have currently been waiting 1 hr for a receipt.*Edit*I thought we were done with this but here we are they next and we have to go back up to Budget. After they finally closed the ticket the manager is charging us an extra $124 for gas that was never there. We picked up the truck in Las Vegas with a half tank and we returned it in LA with half a tank. The supervisor is saying we should have filled it up. I thought you return the way you got it. This place is a fraud. This was our first time using Budget and it will NEVER happen again.
Long Term Car Rental Los Angeles
10306 Hawthorne Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90304, United States
Id give their team more stars if I could! Their car was so amazing it practically moonwalked down the road, and their prices were so low that even my wallet did a happy dance. But the real showstopper here was the service. I cant stress this enough – if I could, Id give them a galaxy of stars! Ill definitely be riding with them again when I roll into town.
Alamo Rent A Car
9020 Aviation Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
I rarely write reviews, but my experince has pretty much ruined the last few days of my vacation. Ive reached out to the company a few times and feel as if they have no regards to what is happening. Very robotic response from each agent I speak to, barely any empathy.I rented my car for 8 days. A Premium Suv to give our family with two carseats as well as a lot a luggage some extra room. It was a great experience while picking up at LAX. Actually, what makes this review a two star instead of negative a thousand stars was the worker (I am sorry, I did not get his name) at the door. He greeted us and saw that we has ALOT of baggage, two car seats, as well as a baby and a 7 year old. He took it upon himself to check us in (didnt need to go to the counter), brought our car up front for us to load, as well as even helped us carry luggage to our car. He was the best thing that happend during this experience.Fast forward to our second to last day. It was our last day to spend at Disneyland. We were all ready and loaded into the car, and the car does not turn on. The battery died! I called ALAMO and they set us up to get roadside asssistance to jump our car for the next morning because I was not going to wait any longer and miss out on our last day at Disneyland. They also arranged us to swap out our car at a nearby ENTERPRISE (same company). They asked if I felt comfortable driving the car that died after we jump it!? Uh, no. Especially not with a 10 month old and 7 year old! She did put me on a hold to call that location to ensure that they will have a car reserved for us. Which she confirmed they did! Here we are, the next day (our last day of our vacation) stressing about this situation, not even enjoying what little time I have left In California. My husband calls me from that rental car location to tell me that they DO NOT HAVE A CAR FOR US. That we have to drive further out to John Wayne airport. I called Alamo again, and told them that the agent whom arranged our exchange called that location to confirm that our car was available!!! No, this time the agent said they cannot guarantee our car will be there. Instead, I can wait for a car to become available, which can be later in the afternoon/evening. No, I cannot wait! This is my last day here, I have things to do before flying home! I am not spending my day waiting at the hotel! or two, try to go to that location. So that is where we are at now. Husband is at the location, praying that they have a car that can at least fit us all and our luggage. Not to mention, they charge $67 dollars to send someone to jump THEIR CAR.I understand if I left my key in the car, or even got a flat tire. But the battery is beyond my control. I make sure all lights are off etc. I also had to spend more money to arrange to take the bus to disneyland. and that experience was bad bc my child got sick from no ac in the bus coming back as well as a bumpy ride. She ended up throwing up the moment we got off the bus.Ive never had such a bad experience renting a car. Not only did it ruin my last vacation days, I had to pay extra to just have a car that works! Not to mention, pay for an alternative transportation.Update: the second location only has a sedan available. We would not be able to fit all of our baggage. I have no idea what we will do. This is such a horrible experience.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car - LAX Airport
9020 Aviation Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
One of the worst rental car experiences I have ever had. I rented a car for work and half way through had to change my travel plans, called Enterprise to update to drop location figured there would be an additional charge but whatever. My mistake for thinking this would be like oh I duno 200 bucks maybe? After finally getting someone on the phone at Enterprise Customer Service I was told I would have to pay $5K for the rental to be dropped in a different location. After having a small panic attack at the price, ($5K???) I asked if this was because the location? Can I drop anywhere else that is cheaper? What can be done about this? This is happening as I am driving down the 5 trying to get to my next location. Nothing can be done. Drop in Bakersfield = $5K. Sacramento? =$5K. I the ask to speak to someone else at Enterprise and called multiple times only to be told I would have to get the location to waive the fee. Finally Vanessa from LAX returned my call. I should have known when she called using an unlisted number. $5K for a two week rental of a Nissan Armada, the car alone isnt even worth $5K. Vanessa said no problem we will charge you a $200 change fee when you drop it. Wow thank you Vanessa for not charging me $5K. The only issue was Vanessa lied. When I dropped the car off early in SLC what did I see on my statement?. $5K, Vanessa, sorry to say but you do not deserve any gold stars, and I pity any poor person that tries to use Enterprise ESPECIALLY at LAX. They told me when I dropped the car I would need to speak with LAX. I already spoke to LAX. Let this be a lesson to you when dealing with Enterprise. Record conversations, always ask for call back numbers and multiple forms of return contact information (email, phone, linkedin- whatever these people just straight up lie) because FOOL ME ONCE, never again. I would honestly rather be run over by that Armada in the California desert than ever have to deal with these people ever again. Save your self and your sanity.

LAX Rent a Car
Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90304, United States
This is in relation to their penske truck rental. I am sure their car rental is fine.In regards to their truck rental, they do not list that they do not have after hours dropoff anywhere on their website, maps page or to penske themselves, which makes it quite difficult when you ask for a location that allows after hours drop off, and their spot is listed as one that does, despite not. Created a fair bit of hastle for myself and the polite lady with penske who helped me find a proper rental return. The man who picked up the phone, though helpful, was quite rude.I would not pay too much attention to this, I am just tired and frustrated, as its always rent-a-cars that try to play penske and just create a hastle for everyone else.
Escape Campervans
4858 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90304, United States
Let me just start by saying we definitely got the oldest campervan on the road with the most boring & chipped paint job possible which was an extreme disappointment compared to the rest of the beautifully painted campervans in the lot & on the road. The lady at pickup said all the vans were pre-booked so she wasn't able to get us a different one. Ours looked like maybe the drivers side had been repainted at one point but the passenger side of the van looked neglected. We had the Maverick van, pickup in LA and drop off in San Fran (actually Milpitas because the San Fran lot closed?)-the interior media system had clearly been replaced already with an older system that requires an aux cord in order to play your phone on the speakers however, the latest apple iphones do not even have aux ports anymore and the usb port kept reading “N/A usb” whenever we tried to connect our iPhones to it which was another disappointment. We ended up buying a portable bluetooth speaker in order to listen to our own music and be able to use audio tour apps.-The constant manifold sound with acceleration was also terrible to listen to the entire trip.-We paid extra to get the camp chair package; the camp chairs are the smallest, cheapest, most uncomfortable camp chairs I've ever seen or sat in, not to mention ours had stains from the previous users. If I didn't know any better I could of sworn these were children's chairs.. as my husband & I found these were very very small for us average sized adults.-The side doors to the van could use some latches to hold them open as many of the campsites we stayed at in California did not have any areas with flat terrain so the doors always swung closed on you every time you would try to open them to get in or out of the van.-The bedding package had 2 pillows, a fitting sheet, and comforter which did the trick for sleep; the cushions that fold into a bed were surprisingly quite comfortable.-The kitchen package had everything we needed to cook simple camp meals; although the teetowel they supplied to dry dishes is a material that does not actually dry, it just pushes the water around making an ever bigger mess, so be sure to buy paper towels for your trip! (We also used the papertowels for our coffee filters in the pour-over drip coffee attachment that was included with the kitchen kit.)-The velcros to hold the curtains together need improvement- we found they were either missing, ripped out or didn't exist; so when we wanted to pull the curtains closed across all windows, we weren't able to get a solid seal and each window had gaps where light would come through and privacy was not able to be maintained.-The canopy we also purchased extra thinking it would be a nice backdoor covering from rain/sun; we didn't even bother opening it, as its just a small little magnetic plastic piece.-Gas, we filled up our tank the morning of return then drove 30mins out of our way to return the van at the Milpitas lot. We had unloaded all our belongings and were ready to leave when the worker literally made us put all our belongings back in the van and go fill up the tank to “full” because our tank wasn't “all the way to the full line” when we tried to return it. The worker said there was a gas station down the road, which we then went to, but it only accepted cards from major fleets? Would not accept either of our Canadian credit cards so then we had to waste more time and gas driving around further just to fill the gas to the brim, meanwhile nowhere on the escapecampervan return papers does it say the van has to be completely full..?-All in all, we made do with what we had for our 10day trip up the California coast. If we ever decide to do the campervan route again for a trip, hopefully we will get a newer, more updated & functional van or maybe go with a different company.
Legends - Luxury Car & Sprinter Van Rentals
204 Hindry Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
Edgar and team went over and beyond with communication, vehicle photos and service commitment tk bring us a fair price and solid vehicle for our trip to San Fran. We also had a few seniors aboard and they were able to get in safely and were most comfortable with the recliner-seats and road experience. There was a flat screen in the vehicle and when we could get it to work I called Edgar on his cell at night and he was more then obliged to walk me through how to get it work vs most companies would have a voice mail on to get back to you next day. Really appreciated the customer service.Vehicle was decent on gas and the vehicle return was pretty easy. One of the vehicles did have dent on it but not so noticeable to the natural eye. We were given a slight discount. It was a great experience and I wanted to share it. I'd surely use their services again and again.
U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
940 W Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301, United States
Miguel, manager had told me when I bought 5 wardrobe boxes from him a couple weeks back I could return any unused boxes for a refund, fair enough! Today when I walked in to ask for him to buy back a couple boxes I did not use, they were in the same spot in my truck as Miguel put them, he had his back turned to me the whole time refusing to assist me with the buy back. His assistant whose body took up at least 3/4 of the room in the office gave me a sheepish look and was right to the book. I left in the mid conversation with Miguel because once again he had his back turned to me belligerent the whole time. Called a Neighborhood U-Haul? I would not think of it in this way.Would I recommend you to do business with Miguel and Thumbalina? NO! Not at all. Disappointed Buyer in Los Angeles 90045
