Enterprise Truck Rental
1144 Arundell Ave, Ventura, CA 93003, United States
Since my work is seasonal, I've been renting from Enterprise for over 10 years. Anywhere from 3 to 6 months a year. I have learned that they have zero loyalty to the repeating clients. Their trucks have gone down in quality. Forced to shop around as they were overcharging me, Penske was able to offer me a better truck for half the price. $100 a day vs enterprise $185. I regret the years of business I've given them.

Beware when returning your rental here. You'll be lied to for extra money.I booked my truck rental from Beverly Hills to return on Monday morning at this location. I was not told that they would be closed on my drop off date. I showed up and found that they were. Inconvenient but no problem as long as I'm not charged for something that I wasn't told of. When I called customer service, they informed me that I would be charged and to just explain the situation to them to take the charge off. When I showed up, I was helped by a woman who barely spoke to me and looked annoyed to have to help me. I explained my situation and she assured me I wouldn't be charged the extra day. She said I owed $160 and I asked if that was extra days charges. She assured me again it wasn't, while also confirming this with her superiors. I was confused by the charge, but I was very tired from the trip so I paid the fee only to be given the receipt and it said extra day charge. When I tried to talk about it, I was told to wait for the manager. Then I was told to call the original location where I booked it because they couldn't do anything about it. I was lied to by this location. I was luckily able to get customer service to help me refund it after a long time on the phone and them having to call this location repeatedly to confirm what happened to me since they would not answer the phone. Overall, unacceptable treatment to be lied to.

If I could give 0 stars, I would...I booked a 12-passenger transit van on January 4th, 2024 for my June 22nd, 2024 wedding. The van was to be used for round-trip transportation for my 70 guests for the bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. I was called a week prior to my wedding by the Fresno CA Downtown location to inform me that a transit van would not be available for my booked dates because it was overbooked. I was offered a 5-passenger vehicle instead. I was told to call customer service to address the issue.I called customer service to explain the situation and was told that a manager would contact me in 24-48 hours. I called the branch to discuss this with the manager and was told that I would receive a callback from the manager. I have yet to receive a callback from the manager after over 24 hours. I have called the branch multiple times after waiting 24 hours for a return call. I either get placed on hold immediately and remain on hold with no pick-up or sent directly to the Avis directory.I called customer service again today, where I was told that the local branch had canceled my reservation. I was again told to call the local branch to address my concerns. Ive tried, but again, they do not pick up.Ultimately, this experience makes me concerned about renting from Avis Budget Group again. For a company with over 75 years of making plans and keeping them, I have been very disappointed with their actual ability to keep plans. This experience has not only been impactful for my trip but also for the 70 guests in attendance for our wedding.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!FROM THE MANAGER BAILEY TO REGIONAL MANAGER TIM-reported.Twitter/instagram/yelp1991 Ventura Bl. Suite B Oxnard, Ca 93036 I booked online and was having trouble with date selection therefore I contacted the Oxnard branch directly to assist. A woman answered the call & verified my rental which is through my insurance department under a car manufacturer warranty. I specifically requested if Enterprise Oxnard was available to pick me up about 2 miles away or if I should contact a Lyft/Uber. The representative said she would send someone to pick me up from the mechanic and took the pick up location address & asked if she could place me on a brief hold. I waited 19 minutes on hold before Bailey-a Manager got on the line. By this point I was in the Lyft that I paid for and enroute. Once I arrived, Bailey was rude, condescending and had an uncomfortable attitude while explaining she couldn't rent to me using the insurance claim & needed several hundred dollars for a 2 day rental, despite the online quoted price being $86.00. She then went on to pressure me for additional information and further inconsistencies, inconvenienced my entire evening. I expressed my dissatisfaction with her level of customer service and irritability after waiting for over 20 minutes on hold only to be told of a policy that was unfamiliar to me as I rented using my corporate account before at the other branch that was 10 minutes away without issue. She didn't like my response and handed me my card refusing to rent to me but offered to give me a ride to my next destination. I asked that she take me to the other branch where I was able to rent without issue. I returned to the Oxnard location to speak with a different manager as I felt discriminated against and dissatisfied with the service I had received from Bailey at the Oxnard location. As I walked in the door before I could make my request, another employee whom wasn't present previously notified me he was on the phone with the police department as I was trespassing. I asked how that was the case when I am a customer and drove there in the car I rented from the location they sent me to. He went on to say after I returned this rental I'd never be able to rent for any Enterprise ever stating “ I have my staff back!” This employee was posturing towards me in an aggressive manor and threatening to call law enforcement on me as if I was a criminal. I left feeling very insulted, discriminated against and ended up missing my flight to a very important engagement. I've never felt so undervalued as a paying customer. I would like to file a discrimination complaint against the manager and the regional manger who were covert racist and used bullying tactics to force me into an uncomfortable position. They added that they do not provide pick ups in the area they left me stranded and waiting despite telling me over the phone they were going to be picking me up. I've received rides before from this location so I know this isn't the case.I spoke to the Regional Manager and he made matters worse and wanted me to walk to Hertz rental car after business hours in a sketchy neighborhood instead of helping. I requested to speak to who is over Regional at the corporate level or higher & was re- routed to Tim who was the worst!I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN!!!FROM THE MULTIPLE NEGATIVE REVIEWS PLUS THE UBER DRIVER STATEMENT OF PRIOR CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ITS OBVIOUS ENTERPRISE IS NOT WORRH IT.

Im not usually a naysayer, and, read on because it ends up being a good review.Although it doesnt matter what kind of car, I rented a luxury car. Im not bougie, just needed to impress a very powerful woman in our industry for a charity event and my trucks wouldnt have worked for an older woman to try to lift herself into. The guy a the desk seemed uninterested, unhappy, and just pushed me through. The guy who introduced me to the car seemed unhappy and unengaged. The entire car was soaking, he made sure to mention its spot free water that they pay for, and I asked if they could at the least clean the windows. He grudgingly squeegeed the windows in a very unsuccessful way.Later I found the front tires both extremely low with warnings going off, the insides of the windows foggy from lack of cleaning, and although I find it normal that companies rent cars at all levels of gassing, it sure would be nice (suggestion box), at least on a much higher level car to have more than less than a quarter tank. All that being said, when I checked back in, I very lightly mentioned the attitudes of the guys and the minor items, again I dont like to complain, and the guy who checked me in said he was a manager and wanted to take care of me. I said its not necessary but he insisted and went overboard to impress upon me his quality customer care.I completely understand that young employees are SOMETIMES elsewhere in their minds. Being in my industry, I not only practice but coach outstanding customer service on many young people entering my profession. The manager did exactly what should be done in these situations and I am so proud of him for stepping up in a big way. Thank you. He saved the day and Enterprise should be happy to have him!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Saturday July 29th at night 2:00 I heard a crashing sound out side my house.I ran out side and found that a car driving northbound had cane into the opposite lane and hit 3 of our cars head on.He hit my car first car head on and that caused a series of car collisions with resulting in 2 of our other cars being hit.The driver was a young man in his very early twentys that had fallen asleep at the wheel. He works for enterprise rent a car and was renting the car from them. *The next business day we talked to the enterprise manager about the accident . My neighbors car was also hit. He was no help to us and very rude.We were later informed that there employee was driving with NO insurance and did not have a drivers lic on him. They told us that they can only pay 5 thousand dollars for ALL the cars totalled by there uninsured employee!!!!!!!!How is $5000 going to cover 3 cars. In total we are at a loss of over $30,000They have caused us emotional distress and inconvenienced us because of what their employee has done.We are out 3 cars and have trouble getting to work.We are lucky there employee did not kill a family driving home in the other direction or someone just getting out of there car with there family getting home on a Saturday night. My brother had just gotten home when this happened. If he was still in the car.the driver would have crushed him in the car. We are very lucky he is safe .Imagine if you were driving down the street and someone hits you head on and enterprise car rental tells you we can only give you 5 thousand dollars to pay your hospital bills and to bury your loved ones and family!!!!!! Does this sound like there stepping up to do the right thing to you?

I worked with them in getting my move off the road. First I had reserved a cargo van for my trip about a week in advance. I felt the cargo van would be better suited to my senior body that has trouble climbing in and out of high places. When I arrived there were no cargo van. They offered the next one up, 12 footer for the same price. I had a timeline that I needed to keep so I took it. It looked fairly new so I drove it home. About 15 - 20mins fromrental site. I found the AC didnt work. I called and the young woman was apologetic and would call her boss and see if the could get another one. Not going to Texas without AC. In the interim of waiting I had to call the loaders and postpone to the next day. By the time the truck was available it was pushing 5pm. I exchanged the van, did our walk round and the cab was nice and cool. The AC was working. Boss took off $100 dollars of rental. That was nice. The loaders showed up the next day and within an hour I was on my way.I drove van over the grapevine on I5 south. I stopped to get gas around Newhall. When I started up the van I saw a message Transmission is hot, idle engine. I did that a few minutes. No change.I wanted to head out so I turned off the AC hoping that would take pressure off engine and headed East on 210. The light was still on. I pulled over and parked in a parking lot for 20-25 min with the engine off. When I restarted engine no warning light. I continued down the 210, but I noticed the engine light was now on. A few more miles and the Transmission warning came on. So I was pulling over to the off ramp when the truck kicked and made a thud sound. I believe from roar of the engine and not being able to shift, the truck was stuck in second gear.Im now sitting in the truck out front of a diner waiting for roadside assistance. That was about 45 minutes ago, when I called for help, no ETA. TBC???

1st off all I don't trust and agree with Google or Yelp reviews AT ALL overall. I think it is waste of time. Have you ever tried to get in touch with them, well I got news for you, good luck if you find them. Please remember, they created this review business for their own benefit and traffic not for the benefit of your business or mine. Oh by the way, FYI, Yelp is the same as Google Company. They are just a joke. As a business owner, for past many years, this is what I have learned, obviously every business has happy and unhappy customers/clients and that really doesn't matter. We may not base our general opinion whether the business is good or bad. Every customer/client has different expectation from any specific business, some are happy and some are not. FOR THOSE TYPES OF CUSTOMERS/CLIENTS IT DOESN'T MATTER WHATEVER YOU DO, AT THE END THEY ARE NOT HAPPY. So be it. You may not make everyone happy. As a business owner, I never am concerned for this type of reviews and never follow them. Why, because you guys spent tons of money to train and continues training of your staff and more importantly you constantly run your own internal quality control. Dear Enterprises I own three different corporations and I do travel constantly and I only prefer to rent a car from you guys because your prices are very compatible in the industry and also the cars are in good condition. As to your employees, in my fair opinion they are normal people who work for their ends meet, they are overall very polite. I personally had a bad experience in one of your office in Dallas, Texas, but since I left a message for the manager she called and personally she assists me with my rental. Now if that individual was not ok for me it doesn't mean she is bad for everyone or with others. So, what is the meaning of that, I should say your business is good or bad. Come on, we are adults, and yet not stupid to believe those kind of reviews. Now, Dear Enterprises continue of your good work and don't ever think of Google or Yelp reviews, because simply think about it, who is giving a review, for those types of companies? Any business owner who opens a business, that means they put their life savings in their business so obviously they want and will do their best to please all of their customer/clients. Anyone can write a bad review, but for those types of people who are not happy have they really look at themselves in the mirror lately.

Rent-It Truck Rentals Ventura

I run a small company that needs the occasional truck rental and my driver decided to go with Rent-It for our last project and we were sad we did.First of all, we picked the truck up at 2:30pm yesterday and returned it at 10am this morning and we were charged for TWO FULL DAYS for less than 1 day of having the truck.Upon picking up the truck, we were required to do a walk around with one of their workers. He was very quick and pointed out everything they had seen and had me initial for those things and sign. I did so, trusting that since it was their truck, they knew everything that was wrong with it.When my driver returned Rent It called me and their representative Brian was very curt said he damaged the top cap of the truck and charged me $450 to replace it. I told him that we didnt do the damage and that my driver had absolutely no opportunity to damage it as there was NOTHING OVERHEAD ON HIS ROUTE OTHER THAN SKY. Regardless of this, he didnt listen or care and proceeded to tell me he was going to charge it anyways. I guess my mistake was not taking pictures of the truck since they dont bother to take some of their own. They would rather baselessly accuse and charge their customers.I very rarely write reviews but I felt I needed to so maybe someone will think twice before using Rent It for their truck needs. Terrible company, terrible customer service, negligent policies. Never again.

Humble Handcraft
185 N Olive St, Ventura, CA 93001, United States
I have had both a tiny home and a van converted by Humble Hand Craft. What sets Ryan and his team apart is their absolute passion for what they do. Ryan will go above and beyond to make sure that whatever unit his is working on meets his absurdly high standard for both ethical/green construction and aesthetics. I own the El Toro tiny home; a 28ft triple axel with roughly 320 square feet which was the first unit I had Humble Hand Craft build. As I was shopping around for the perfect builder to make my wife and Is perfect home, I toured one of Ryans units. The first thing that stood out to me was the choice of materials. Everything was REAL quality wood - no particle board or cheap pine. All the wood was reclaimed and finished with non-toxic finishes. The attention to detail blew my mind; from hand made lighting fixtures to the copper door handle. Everything in the house had a story and we instantly fell in love. The process of having Ryan build our home was unique as it was still pre Humble Hand Craft in regards to his current shop and team but communication was easy. We bounced ideas off each other for months while he built and I never felt like our goals and specifications were ever overlooked. Ryan takes the time to do the job right or he wont do it at all. The second experience I had with Ryan was in his new facility with his new crew. After the positive experience I had with the Tiny Home there was no one else I would have considered to convert our van. Again, Ryan and his team took all of our specifications and goals into account and went above and beyond with the van, finding amazing materials for the finish work and not sparing on the small details. Even though the demand is much higher now and there are many more active projects, I never felt like I was getting the short end of the stick. I still felt entirely taken care of from communication to punctuality - Ryan and his team have leveled up! Really happy to see good people succeeding and these guys are just that. Thanks again for all of your work!
