Enterprise Rent-A-Car
1956 Auto Park Way, Escondido, CA 92029, United States
I have enjoyed the pleasure of renting from this location numerous times in the past, and for all practical intents and purposes, the experience has been satisfactory. This time however, was quite a different story. I reserved a vehicle days in advance for a specific pick-up time. I never require Enterprise to pick-me-up or drop-me-off, so I dont burden the team accordingly. I arrived at the rental location 5 minutes before my reserved pick-up time. There are absolutely NO cars in the lot. None. So I say, where is the full-size vehicle I reserved. The answer was inappropriate at best, i.e. well, we have simply been very busy and no one else in town has cars available either. WHAT? I dont really care. That is NOT my problem. I reserved a car. You told me I would have a car. Upon arrival you had no cars. So, I had to wait. My time is far more valuable than that of the Enterprise team. DONT MAKE ME WAIT UNTIL YOU CAN FIND A CAR. Well, there was a vehicle in the back-lot that was apparently promised to another renter. It was an SUV. Although I rented a full-size car, the agent decided to rent to me the SUV for the same money. It was a Nissan Rogue. I had my doubts about whether this was truly equal to a full-size car, and my fears were realized while driving the vehicle over 15 hours and over 820 miles. It was a lousy ride, heavy road noise, so much so you could not hear the radio, and the vehicle had to be the bottom of the barrel relative to amenities. it was so basic, I was surprised it even had power windows. So, bottom line, this rental experience WAS NOT pleasant. I am deeply disappointed in the service provided by Enterprise. IF I give this site another chance, the experience had better blow me away, otherwise, Im moving on to other rental agencies. Take heed Enterprise. You need to step-up your customer service game.

Buggie Dugger Jr - State Farm Insurance Agent
240 W Crest St suite b, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Terrible experience with this office. Received a quote and after paying they came back after a week saying it would be $200 more than they quoted.Called another state farm office and the agent there told me they screwed up, that this office made a mistake. That they didnt put in the information that they had and that I gave them when doing the qoute. They seemed to have intentionally put it in wrong to give me a lower quote to get me to pay then, knowing it would likely come back higher without informing me of this. He gave me info and advice on how to file a legal complaint the agents. With my insurnace ending and the grace period for transferring at least 2 weeks in CA I was left with no other option but to pay for the insurance with state farm.Would recommend finding another state farm agent if you want to stick with them at the very least.

Farmers Insurance - Dennis Duffy II
2150 N Centre City Pkwy # A, Escondido, CA 92026, United States
Dennis took over my previous agent's clientele and he has been a gem!!! Very responsive and helpful. We used Farmer's for our rental property but had USAA for our home. We moved right at the beginning of the covid quarantine and we live in a rural area nobody insures for fires (besides cal fair) so finding affordable insurance was impossible (usaa wouldn't insure us once we moved). Dennis did everything he could to help us get good coverage for our new home without breaking our budget. He also helped my in-laws get a liability plan for their property after we learned they had been dropped from American Modern due to fire risk (veerrrryy common where we live unfortunately).

Tim Giblin - State Farm Insurance Agent
133 S Escondido Blvd, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Being a local real estate agent places me in constant contact with insurance concerns whenever I manage home sales or purchase transactions. The number of insurance agencies willing to write a policy for areas with high or very high fire danger concerns is shrinking. When my own policy was dropped/terminated by a carrier to whom I had loyally subscribed for over 20 years. I shopped around for a locally respected carrier. I contacted Tim Giblins State Farm Insurance office; they were able to offer and write up a bundle offering for my familys needs, saving me over 500.00 on the same coverage I had previously on my home and car policies. One bonus attraction that appealed to me: I was informed that State Farm will not drop me ( as long as my payments remain current) as an insured client in the future, even if State Farm terminates writing new policies in my community/area. I have remained impressed by Tim Giblins attention to detail and timely communication as well as the State Farm insurance offerings and rates. If you are looking for a new carrier, I encourage obtaining a bid from Tim Giblin, our local trusted State Farm agent!

Auto Body of Escondido
1347 Simpson Way, Escondido, CA 92029, United States
Extremely professional, from front desk, to the detailer. They handled everything, from talking to my insurance company (USAA), to the rental agency. My car looked better than new. The detailer cleaned my car from top to bottom and even vacuumed my cars logo into the carpeting. I would have easily paid $100 just for that service.

Fix Auto Escondido
656 Metcalf St, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Poor customer service, longtime repair and very shady businessI got rear-ended on Jan 15th, contacted my insurance ( Farmers ) and they recommendedFix Auto Escondido to take my car for repair. Wish I've never done that.Claudia came out, introduced herself and explained that they would take everything apartand would give estimate of repair by the next couple days.I did not hear back from her for a whole week, then I called and she said” oh I was aboutto call you” so she explained the damage to the car and she said the estimated cost isabout $12K and would take about 15 weeks!!The insurance company covered only 20 days of rental. What was I going to do for therest of the 15 weeks? I went back and forth with her, but I got to a point that I waswasting my time as she did not understand, or she did not basically care. After going back and forth several times with my insurance company, my insuranceagent, recommended that if I could find another repair shop who could get the repairdone quicker, we could pull the car out and took it there, but since they had started therepair, nobody else would touch her.I got the estimated repair cost and time from my insurance agent which was generatedby Claudia at 2/9/2024 10:38:54 AM, $12114.02 and 94.2 hours of labor, she hasalready confirmed at that time they have ordered all the parts and have them all at therepair shop. So, I called her and asked her since they have all the parts and with the estimation of 94hours of labor, so where is that 15 weeks come from? She denied that and she kepttelling me that it was a big repair and could not be done sooner. In mid-April, they called and said the car was ready. I was not able to pick up the car tillmid-May, so I went in there, the lady behind the counter asked me to sign the paperwork and asked me to pay the deduction asked if I could see the car first. My dad and I went outside and met the general manager, he was showing us the back ofthe car and explaining of how great of a job they had done and did not look like that itwas in the accident at all and …., the second my dad went around the car and to thefront, he said “ oh we did not touch the front”.My dad noticed that the windshield was cracked, and as soon as we mentioned that, “ohwe noticed that yesterday” he said and then he was trying to say the windshield waschipped before and cracked because the car was sitting there for a couple of months.Supper shady!!!He was even trying to have me pay the deductible and take the car and send someoneinto my house to replace the windshield. I told him no and the windshield needs to bereplaced before I pay the deductible, he did not seem happy at all.I also found out that they have even tried to put an aftermarket windshield, but since theycould not calibrate it, hey had to get an OEM one. But they did not use the original rearcamera. The most annoying part was when I looked at the total repair cost, they are charging$19,211.46 for a $26,000 car. With that all being said, the car could have been total lost if they have provided theaccurate estimate at the first place, and I did not have to wait so long to get her back andit cost me over $3000 for that time being. They kept the cost at 73% so they can get themoney from the insurance company.I would stay away from these guys, and I would not recommend even consider takingyour cars there.

AAA Escondido Insurance and Member Services
800 La Terraza Blvd, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
Auto Club membership is worth it if only because you can do most DMV transactions here and the longest Ive ever waited was 20 minutes. Not to thrilled with their unholy partnership with Hertz for car rental though. You can easily find better deals for bigger/nicer cars with other agencies. Never used them for travel beyond that, and probably wont.

Evans Tire
510 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
I've been coming to this shop for 10yrs ever since I move to Escondido. I've brought at least 10 different cars including my parents' who live in National City. The service was good and they had a no pressure attitude. If there was something that needed attention they would say take care of it now or by xxxx miles or when your next service is due. However, when really bad they would let me know and most times I'd have the service done. I heard a year or two ago management or ownership changed and so did the attitude. Now, everytime I got an oil change they found something wrong with my car. Because I'd been going there for years I trusted them. This time was no different. Brought my car in at 7:30am for an oil change. I told the guy I needed the car back by 2pm because I had to pick up my wife. He said it would be done by 1pm. I get a call at 8:40am and was told I needed 2 tires and that I should get a tune up. I thought, I might as well. The service guy even gave me a “discount” to help seal the deal. I reminded him I need the car by 2pm and he assured me it would he done by then. I call back at 12:59pm asking on status and guys said tires were installed and alignment and oil change done. Just finishing up the tune up. I make my way to the shop to wait and it's still not done. As I'm waiting there the service guys paid me no mind talking about motorcycles and what the top 5 fastest were. At 2:45 I finally ask on status and guy said they are finishing up on the tune up. 3pm comes around and I ask again and now they are doing the alignment. My problem here is not that I paid $1800 for 2 tires, alignment, and a tune up. What I don't appreciate is being lied to and just having me wait with no explanation. It made me feel like because they got my money, time isn't important to them. At least my time. It's disappointing for being a customer for over 10yrs and trusting the brand. I don't plan to bring anymore cars here.l nor would I recommend them.PS- This same car I brought for at least 2 oil changes, they told me that I needed some rear shocks replaced. This time, no mention. Makes me wonder if I really needed that tune up.

Interfaith Community Services
550 W Washington Ave, Escondido, CA 92025, United States
The staff is very nice, and helpful. They deal with vets, homeless, families in need, people in between jobs.....and they give information about other services to those in need also. They offer a lot of additional other service too, like use of computers for jobs and reaching loved ones. And a place for some to sleep. Today the face of hunger is very different, the amount of young people and children is very alarming. And the need for donations is GREAT!!!! Sometimes there is very little and the pantry is kind of bare. But the doors remain open, they try to do what they can with what ever resources they have. They feed vets, and have sack lunches for everyone, as well as boxes of food for the people who sign up for food to take home. And try to give home cooked meals to some, and on some Holidays they try to make it a little better by some holiday meals. They really need non perishable food items, boxed, canned, and toiletries. If not for the GRACE OF GOD, it can be anyone, be greatful for all blessings. Because no body said When I grow up I want to be hungry or homeless The lost of income, illness, accident, drugs, alcohol, depression, mental illness, any number of things can cause a persons life to spiral out of control. They have to deal with, a lot of different personalities, because when life has kicked you down, sometimes you can become bitter. So its not always easy to be to helpful and pleasant to everyone. But they try. They were not designed to be a employment service, but they sometimes have information about potential employers, but they dont decide on the qualifications or job skills. The employers decides everything, and yes some jobs decide they want Spanish speaking employees. This country is diverse and this area is primarily Hispanic so it may be a requirement from the employers. But they still try, they are not the complete solution, or answer they are just a stepping stone to a path not so bleak and dark. No one agency has all the answers for homelessness in this country. Thats one of the reasons it is has, and will continue to be a problem in this country. But they try, and their here. When a lot of people close a blind eye to this ever growing problem they dont. Please help Interfaith on their mission to help others, there are a lot of ways anyone can help. Call and ask, or simply donate, it will make you feel good when you do. Human beings Must All open their eyes and act positively for change, this problem is global and growing.
