Arrived in Fresno from Chicago to discover that, although I had a reservation, no rental was available. I know that this happens from time to time especially now with rental fleets thinned out and the chip shortage preventing them from adding to the fleet in addition to me traveling during spring break. What makes the difference with Enterprise is the employees. The manager, Nick, gave me contact info for alternate locations to try and find a car while he also searched for any availability elsewhere. After having no luck on my end I was elated when Nick called me back (most other rental agencies would have forgotten about me as soon as we ended our phone call) to tell me has was able to allocate a car for me. He had the shuttle pick me up and I was off in my rental in no time. There are many rental agencies who may even be cheaper but I wouldnt know because I have used Enterprise exclusively for decades because you always know you will have a great experience, even when things go wrong. Thank you Nick for saving the day! See you again the next time Im in Fresno.

I worked with them in getting my move off the road. First I had reserved a cargo van for my trip about a week in advance. I felt the cargo van would be better suited to my senior body that has trouble climbing in and out of high places. When I arrived there were no cargo van.They offered the next one up, 12 footer for the same price. I had a timeline that I needed to keep so I took it. It looked fairly new so I drove it home. About 15 - 20mins fromrental site. I found the AC didnt work. I called and the young woman was apologetic and would call her boss and see if the could get another one. Not going to Texas without AC. In the interim of waiting I had to call the loaders and postpone to the next day. By the time the truck was available it was pushing 5pm. I exchanged the van, did our walk round and the cab was nice and cool. The AC was working. Boss took off $100 dollars of rental. That was nice.The loaders showed up the next day and within an hour I was on my way.I drove van over the grapevine on I5 south. I stopped to get gas around Newhall. When I started up the van I saw a message Transmission is hot, idle engine. I did that a few minutes. No change.I wanted to head out so I turned off the AC hoping that would take pressure off engine and headed East on 210. The light was still on. I pulled over and parked in a parking lot for 20-25 min with the engine off. When I restarted engine no warning light. I continued down the 210, but I noticed the engine light was now on. A few more miles and the Transmission warning came on. So I was pulling over to the off ramp when the truck kicked and made a thud sound. I believe from roar of the engine and not being able to shift, the truck was stuck in second gear.Im now sitting in the truck out front of a diner waiting for roadside assistance. That was about 45 minutes ago, when I called for help, no ETA. TBC???

... failing. The pump didnt shut off.On 26 Feb 24, I paid $176.28 on Pricelines website to secure a vehicle with Dollar on 3/7/24 with a drop off of 3/13/24 at Fresno Airport. I put flight number AA1381 on my reservation at the time of purchase so the car rental company would be aware of flight changes as indicated on their website. The remaining $72.34 was due on the day of pick up. On 3/7/24, flight AA1381 from DFW was delayed for 4.5 hours due to severe thunderstorms. It was 11:30pm when we landed at Fresno Airport, and there was no one at the Hertz car rental desk. Enterprise, Budget, Alamo and various rentals were still open at that time. I was forced to pay an additional $65 for a one day rental with Alamo because Dollar did not give me the car that I paid for.I paid a total of $412 to rent 2 cars, including the $79 spilled gas due to Hertz faulty vehicle and $20 in gas for a round trip to Fresno in the Alamo car rental. I wasted a lot of time and money for something that shouldnt have happened. If Hertz agents had stayed at their kiosk the same amount of time as every other car rental agency and ensured their vehicles were properly serviced, then none of this would have happened. As the customer, I should not be found liable for Hertz’s incompetence, poor service and lack of vehicle maintenance. Parts of my short visit home were ruined due to multiple mishaps with this car rental.Hertz has now falsely accused me of damaging their vehicle with diesel fuel (despite the video evidence proving I used unleaded fuel). Hertz does not want to take responsibility for their agents giving me a car that shouldn’t have been on the road. Paul made me wait 10 minutes before he issued me a car that had just been turned in. 10 minutes is not enough time to complete a thorough maintenance check on a vehicle. They would have noticed diesel fuel in the vehicle if they had serviced it before giving it to me, but they were rushing. Please escalate my email to Priceline and Hertz ...

As I sit here, stranded in the Fresno airport, I decided to take the time to rip this godforsaken rental company apart. I have been traveling for 14 hours from Detroit for a job interview that the universe clearly doesnt want me to make it to. I have to be in San Luis Obispo at 10 am tomorrow. I knew I would be flying in late, so I called Avis, THIS AVIS, 3 SEPARATE TIMES to confirm that they would still be here when I landed. All 3 times they said YES, despite me saying Your hours say midnight. Are you SURE? Yes, maam, we will be there. We are open until 4 AM.After changing 4 flights and flying across the entire continental US, I have finally arrived in Fresno just to find that Avis is, in fact, NOT open until 4 am at this location. I will be sleeping on the floor of an airport, job interview in 9 hours.I called upon arriving in Fresno only to be met with the most apathetic young man who clearly has no customer service training. Unapologetic, uncaring.I will never, ever, so help me GOD, trust this company again.I joked prior to arriving that Ive had worse! (travel experiences), but I have to say, this is right up there next to being robbed in Barcelona and sleeping in THAT godforsaken airport. The only thing that made that worse was cockroaches. Well see if that changes over the next 5 hours.Pardon my French but **** AVIS.Super glad I downed an extra strength 5 hour energy on the plane to make the drive tonight. Ill sit here, wired, until morning. God help you, Avis. If you think Im mad now, just wait till I get to talk to someone.10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.UPDATE: The Avis representative arrived at the airport at 5 am. I merely stood up, and the representative snapped at me, I DONT OPEN UNTIL 6.Ok. Ill be here. Just like I have been for the last 5 hours.At 6, the Grinch finally allowed me to approach. I tell her I am in a HUGE rush as I have a job interview to get to, and that I already spent the whole night there because I was fed lies. She looks and sneers, Well, if you had told me you had an interview, I would have checked you in. I explain my situation and that I just want the keys and to leave. I dont have time to fight with her about how I was lied to and screwed. She says there was a note that they were supposed to wait for me the night before, its unfortunate that they didnt. Yes, unfortunate.My head didnt physically explode, but that was it. I snatched the keys and left.As I said multiple times in this review, I will NEVER recommend this company. My blood pressure is permanently raised.

We have never had a more negative experience in renting a car. It started with them offering our family a two-door Mustang when we had reserved a full size vehicle. They were insistent that a reservation is “not a contract” and that they are not obligated to give what is reserved. The manager (older gentleman) was rude, and insistent that we be grateful to get anything at all. He said several times to “take it or leave it” without attempting to try and solve the issue. Another worker (younger female) was equally rude and pressed us to take what was available. While I understand that issues may arise in any business, treating the customer rudely, insisting they be grateful for unforeseen discomfort, and not working to resolve an issue is unacceptable. I would caution anyone contemplating doing business at this rental agency and urge you to take your business elsewhere.

I have had two experiences with the Fresno airport rental car services, and this is what I know now that they DONT tell you...BRING A CREDIT CARD!!! You can NOT rent a vehicle at the Fresno airport terminal with a debit card - you have to have an actual credit card. You WILL be turned away.What appears to be several competing rental car agencies waiting for your business, is a facade!!! Enterprise, Budget, Avis - ALL the same company!It does absolutely NO good to get out of line in hopes about rental car counter is going to be faster and more helpful or even cheaper for that matter.No overtime allowed to their employees, so never have enough agents to assist passengers who have just disembarked. Expect to be waiting for an extremely, excessive amount of time! That being said, get off the plane as fast as you can and get in the rental car line BEFORE you get your bags out of baggage claim.You will be able to pick out your luggage coming in on the conveyor since it is adjacent to the rental car waiting line.I have been turned away at this FAT rental counter with my confirmation number, reservation and prepaid deposit! All because I didnt have a credit card! There is no signage, literature, NOTHING anywhere posted in the terminal or online, requiring a credit card to purchase. My feeling is, there arent enough cars to go around - so why prepay with a deposit and have a reservation with a confirmation number??? Be prepared as I was forced to get myself an Uber, to then take me to an official, REAL rental car agency, and pick out a vehicle using my debit card.The Fresno airport should be accountable for such shoddy business practices. This should be an outstanding service extended to passengers, residents and visitors to Fresno and the surrounding Valley. Be prepared!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would...I booked a 12-passenger transit van on January 4th, 2024 for my June 22nd, 2024 wedding. The van was to be used for round-trip transportation for my 70 guests for the bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. I was called a week prior to my wedding by the Fresno CA Downtown location to inform me that a transit van would not be available for my booked dates because it was overbooked. I was offered a 5-passenger vehicle instead. I was told to call customer service to address the issue.I called customer service to explain the situation and was told that a manager would contact me in 24-48 hours. I called the branch to discuss this with the manager and was told that I would receive a callback from the manager. I have yet to receive a callback from the manager after over 24 hours. I have called the branch multiple times after waiting 24 hours for a return call. I either get placed on hold immediately and remain on hold with no pick-up or sent directly to the Avis directory.I called customer service again today, where I was told that the local branch had canceled my reservation. I was again told to call the local branch to address my concerns. Ive tried, but again, they do not pick up.Ultimately, this experience makes me concerned about renting from Avis Budget Group again. For a company with over 75 years of making plans and keeping them, I have been very disappointed with their actual ability to keep plans. This experience has not only been impactful for my trip but also for the 70 guests in attendance for our wedding.

Me and my buddy got 2- 45 mile tours. Let me tell you, THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!!I love me a nice car, but I never saw the need to drive what I could not have lol at the end of each trip it was not even about I couldn't have this. It was about the fun I had. the rush I got. The memories I made on those 2 tours, Living in the moment! I drove the Lambo on the 1st trip and the Ferrari on the 2nd tour. Ohhh man it was a blast! I was a bit scared at first, I mean it is a lot more horsepower then I am use too. But they have an amazing staff! My tour guide Liz was fantastic. She helped me learned both cars with controls quite quickly where I was very comfortable behind the wheel in a short time. Lets get in to the cars..Lambo: I LOVE THIS CAR!! You feel like Batman driving it lol the handling of this vehicle is amazing. I never hugged a corner so tight with no worries! When I got to open her up, I mean what more can I say but it was everything and more than I imagined!! You want to feel alive, when Liz said “ Less Goo” me and my buddy hit it and I'm serious when you get “there” you hit a pure form of Joy and legit serenity just blankets your body like being tucked in by Mommy at night when you a kid! :PFerrari: I mean this is the ultimate/classic “you made it car” and when you're driving it, booooy do you feel the same!! I had a blast in this car!! The classic RED FERARRI. Everyone looks at you. Horns honking. Kids waving at you with excitement! That little bit of “Hollywood star” vibe comes over you hahaWe got the photography package both times and Liz did an amazing job with the photos. We also had a lot of fun taking the photos. It was a mini Photo Shoot each time! I personally picked out clothes to match each Vehicle, So I was ready!! I pretended I was in a music video Liz directed and we made it happen!All around from the purchase. To the friendly knowledgeable staff. To the cars themselves. I am SO HAPPY and VERY Satisfied with everything!! I am already planning to do the 165mile tour soon! Also, big shot out to the Owner Kevin for letting me in his garage and letting me take photos and sharing info on all the other beautiful cars he has there on the property! Thank You Team Oxotic!!!
