SIXT Rent a Car
Rental Car Center, 780 N McDonnell Rd, San Francisco, CA 94128, United States
My car rental is experience at the San Francisco Sixt rental agency could not have been better. This was largely due to the terrific customer experience I had with Herman. He was extremely helpful, sincerely pleasant, and great to work with. In fact, I was so impressed with his positive customer experience that I am sending this note. I strongly encourage management to recognize him. I would also like to recognize the young lady that I initially rented my car from. She too was extremely helpful, lpleasant and patient.Paul Fil

I’m always surprised at how easy the check-in process is at Enterprise at SFO, especially when you look at the long lines at the other car rental agencies there. The staff is very friendly and I always end up with a good car. I’ll keep going back to Enterprise.

Great experience overall. I had three separate bookings for various dates and all these went seamlessly. The selection of cars are very good here, they let you select the car you need. The parking lot is a bit dark though, so it makes inspection of the cars a bit difficult. The staff is very friendly and go out of the way to solve your issues. The front desk guy Daniel was very friendly and efficient in his work. The delivery staff at the lot go out of the way to dive issues for you. Overall there was no problem. The rental agency is located away from the airport, you need to take the free air train and get down at the car rental station. There are washrooms inside the rental agency. There are also elevators to access the train station easily. There is airport trolley station (paid ) just beside the lot, this makes transporting luggage easy

This is more about the person that helped me when I arrived at the rental agency. My app wouldnt let me check out even though I had reserved my car in the executive aisle. Luckily Mr. Tam was there to get me on my way. He also found a better vehicle for me than what I was looking at in the aisle. He took the time to find out what my needs were to find the perfect vehicle for me. Thanks again, Mr. Tam.

Furthering my belief that businesses that do not spend excessively on marketing, specifically advertising, are in a much better position to offer a quality product/service at competitive prices, I present City Rent-A-Car. Being that their location is off the beat and that youve probably never heard of them, that means they are able to offer great rates on great cars. Their fleet is not enormous, but they do have a little bit of everything, so whether you are looking for a truck or van to move out of your apartment, a monster SUV for a weekend ski trip, or a hot rod convertible to go cruising for fur-burgers, they probably will have what you are looking for in a car that is less than 2 years old with low mileage (just like the big guys) at a price that will make you wonder what the catch is. Thing is, there isnt one! Better still, if you have your own insurance and a credit card that covers your deductible, you can save even more! While they have great service (dont confuse them keeping phone calls short as rudeness- they are just very busy) youd be better off to reserve a call in advance. They dont ask a lot to hold a car for you- in fact for me (I have a bit of a customer history that might be the reason) I didnt have to put any sort of deposit for them to hold the car for me. I am guessing they rent stuff so easily that they are not worried about getting stuck with unrented cars.TL;DR: Skip big rental car carriers and go with CRAC and get the same car (or better) for a fraction of the price!PS: Like every other rental car company on the planet, they expect you to have a credit card, so dont expect your debit card to cut the mustard. I saw a complaint about that, but I have never seen anyone rent a car on a debit card without a large cash deposit in lieu of it so dont blame CRAC if they wont rent you an Escalade on your Diners Club card. Also, if you are less than 25 years old, youre probably going to have to pay a large fee because people your age have most auto accidents by an order of magnitude, so expect to open your wallet. This is especially true if you require insurance as well. This is just standard operating practices for the industry so buck up! Dont take it personally.
GoCar Tours

Im giving this location 2 stars due to the post experience handling of how they chose to not honor the $80 refund. My wife and I are always in the Bay/Napa area for jazz and business. So this one time we took our cousins and friends. We planned out an array of activities that started in Napa. As we were at the later part of our getaway. I suggested GoCar Tours. Ive seen them every time I was in town. Everyone agreed. So we picked the twilight hours. 3 hours from 2 pm - 5 pm. We arrive, sign in, and look at instructional and safety videos. Then, we proceed to pick our adventure. We chose to do the Golden Gate Bridge Sausalito tour in the faster 2 seater scooter bike vehicle. This vehicle takes on all SF hills. Were told that the GPS will start when you get to the corner. So were off enjoying the streets and sights of San Francisco scooter style. We get to the picture taking point at the Golden Gate Bridge. Take our pictures and feel excited to cross the bridge scooter style. This is where the problem starts. We proceed while noticing the gps isnt taking over the bridge. So I pull over and call GoCar to confirm which line am I supposed to follow. Okay, confirmed, follow red lines. So were following red lines, were going through the park, up a hill with gorgeous homes, cruising the cold coastline, back through the crowded park, and into a neighborhood. We pull over and make the call to GoCar because our time is dwindling. While awaiting information from GoCar. My cousin informs me that his gps is blank. He has no lines. His gps stopped displaying lines after we left Golden Gate Bridge picture stop. So hes just following me. We find out that my gps is on a different route. Were on the city tour. GoCar says my cousin gps was the Sausalito route. We had to do a FaceTime call so GoCar could see the screen. I guess to see if we were being truthful. So after 25 minutes of trying to get a signal of the new route to just finish with Lombard Street, which was an awesome short experience. I always thought it was longer. So were back at GoCar. The asian gentleman at the desk said he would give us $40 each credit because our friends did not participate. Plus, he will not charge the $19 each insurance. Cool accountability received, and were pleased. This was Sunday, April 28. On Friday, I called GoCar because I noticed I had not received my refund . On Friday, May 3rd, I speak to a gentleman, and he takes my number because hes going to get to the bottom of what was promised. He said an outside agency handles refunds, so they would have to send them a message to refund. But, first, allow him to communicate with the person who promised me. He took my number because hes supposed to call me back with information. Now its Thursday, May 9th. No call from GoCar. My next step is to call again while also reaching out to the BBB for being unprofessional after an admitted error and a suggested return of charge.
Trekker Vans

I absolutely love camping and being outdoors, but ever since we've had kids I've been hesitant to try. We have a close group of friends that wanted to do a quick getaway. Most of us like camping but a handful are adverse to it. When Autocamp was booked up we thought van camping was a happy medium and convinced them to come along with us. Heard good things about Trekker Vans and the pickup/ drop off spot is close to our home. We met our friends at the drop off location. They were able to reserve their 3 spaces. Since we have 3 kids 8,6 & 2.5 yrs old, we had our eldest sit in the other van with our friends daughter (3yrs old) and a walkie talkie. That was a fun adventure in itself! We were all ready to go to drop off our car at home and I realized I forgot to pick up a birthday cake! Picked up the cake and was about to run inside the house to get another cooler bag when my husband reminded me that there was a fridge drawer in the van. What a relief since the drive was 3 hours north and we planned on stopping at a kid friendly winery on the way to camp. We rented the roof top van and as soon as it was set up all the kids wanted to climb up. The fact that the van comes with everything you need already packed neatly in the storage compartments made setting up camp so easy and painless especially with 3 kids. My kids and husband slept in the rooftop tent (their favorite experience during the trip) and I slept in the van with my toddler. It was nice to have the additional sound barrier of the van since my toddler still cries for milk in the middle of the night. The ladder also came in handy when setting up the hammock in the tree so that it wasn't dragging on the ground. Also loved the velcro to keep the curtains from opening inside the van, front and side window shades, sink to wash up at night, storage under bed to keep clothes out of the way and storage under the roof tent top tent to keep your tent clean and shoes convenient to reach. We had a 4 van caravan each with our own walkie talkie. So useful when cell service and internet is no where to be found. So much fun! Can't wait to do this again for an even longer and more adventurous trip. Thanks to trekker vans for such a comfortable and memorable experience !!
San Francisco Toyota Certified Service Center
4099 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States
Through my driving life, Ive dealt with over 8 vehicle purchases for myself and family/friends. Im the car guy in my family so when it comes to purchasing a car, Im usually a hawk at doing research for vehicle, features, pricing etc. Hands down San Francisco Toyota gave me the best deal and least hassle for my 2012 Sienna. In 2012 I was doing my research to pick one up for the wife after I had just moved to the west coast for a new job, my wifes lease was up on her corolla and we had 1.5 year old at the time and it was hard to get her in and out of the car seat. I looked at all minivans and was adamant about getting all wheel drive just in case we moved back to the east coast for snow and/or rain, also being a Muslim, it is against my religion to pay or take interest (similar to Orthodox Jews) and at the time there were incentives for 0% for 60 months on the Sienna. The Sienna was the only van to meet my criteria of all wheel drive and no interest. I lived in Santa Rosa at the time, about 1 hour north of San Francisco. I had started my job in end of April (the 30th I think) and started looking and calling around to all dealers that had the vehicle I was looking for in their inventory from Santa Rosa to San Francisco. All dealers quoted me different things for the same packages, San Francisco Toyota was the lowest, I was wary that they might be low-balling me because of laws in Cali that dont require them to honor an emailed quote, it has to be on paper. So I ask around other dealers quoted close but not the same. 2 weeks into my new job, my parents called me and informed me that my father who was diagnosed and operated on and treated for cancer for the past 9 years was going to be put in hospice care and that there was nothing else they could do for him. So I had to fly back to the east coast and put the vehicle purchase on hold. After 2 weeks being on the east coast and my father somewhat stabilizing after an intense first week in hospice I flew back to my new job. I got back in contact with the various dealers that had quoted me different prices and the one dealership I had contacted 2 weeks early in the same month changed their pricing and jacked it up on me telling me that demand went up. I followed up with San Francisco Toyota and Sabrina and Tani kept the same quote which was still the best quote I had received. I followed up with them and met them in person I had a rental car they kept their word on their price and they were extremely pleasant to deal with. Tani took me to return the rental car and shared with me his personal experience with a close relatives passing when I mentioned what i was dealing with and he was very supportive and understanding. It wasnt just a car deal, it was a great human experience with people that care that arent out to rob you for you money and keep their word. I was so impressed that I had promised them a good review and more than 2 years later I am giving this review because of the impact they had. I have their magnet on my fridge even though it for the 2013 calendar year and everytime I look at it I remind myself that i have to get around to doing that review because I promised and because they made my life easier during one of the most difficult times of my life. I am thankful to God for putting them in my path and in case youre curious, I am also thankful to mention that my father lived till September of 2012. Recently San Francisco Toyota contacted me to purchase my Sienna back, but we moved back to the east coast earlier this year. If I buy another Toyota, I might still consider purchasing from them and shipping it just because of that great experience. Tani and Sabrina, thank you both for all of your help and support and for giving me a good deal and for keeping your word.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Clubsportiva! They are professional, friendly and accommodating. I rented their new Dodge Viper and it was outstanding! It was so clean and presentable. They even taught me how to operate every control of the vehicle which is amazing, unlike enterprise where they just give you the keys without knowledge of the vehicle. All in all I will definitely be returning back and renting more of their fine exotic vehicles!
