U-Haul Moving & Storage at Fairview
13042 Fairview St, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
This location rents out unsafe equipment! I rented a 6X12 trailer to go one-way to Seattle. The trailer I was given had electrical problems which I pointed out to the sales rep as she was hooking it up. The clearance lights didnt work and some of the lenses were missing. She told me that it would be OK, because law enforcement only looks for the brake/turn signal lights. The wiring was so messed up, it even caused issues with my truck. The turn signals and brake lights kept going out on the way to load the trailer, so I called their road service. The guy came out and said he couldnt do anything to fix it, and to swap it with another trailer. I didnt have time for that, so I took it as-is. All the lights then went out at night driving through Oregon. Lucky I wasnt stopped. U HAUL appears to be sending defective equipment on one-way rentals, so they dont have to fix the problems.

Good firewood for a great price! Was a quick pick up process and was loaded up instantly. If you're in the OC area and need firewood for your camping events or anything outdoors you definitely need to hit up my boy Marco! Thanks again.
CSIS Insurance Services
13211 Garden Grove Blvd #100, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
The only reason I am still here is my agent Raul. He understands my needs and helps attain them. Otherwise with a yearly increase from Mercury for no apparent reason that usually exceeds the cost of living is beyond me. I dont like that. I was with Allstate for 35 years. First agent was great for 17 years and retired, second agent was great for 18 years and retired. Third agent was very good but grew his business so big he lost touch with some clients, his staff did not treat me to what I was used too. I reached out to the original agent and he was too busy to talk to me. I was referred to Mercury and Raul has been spectacular in spite of Mercury but l will probably leave Mercury by Spring. Good drivers, multi vehicle, no tickets, no accidents, no claims, homeowners insurance and still increases every year that are generally way above the cost of living. Very disappointing.
Extra Space Storage
7392 Garden Grove Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
This first half is for the customer service. Kim Buchanan-Coleman, the on-site manager, made my entire rental experience a very smooth & pleasant one. She explained everything in detail, answered all my questions and showed me the property before I signed up. Every time that I showed up with some kind of need, she accommodated me with a smile - even when she was getting ready for lunch. Oh! She even walks the grounds to check up on everything. A great example of genuine customer service! This second half is for the facility itself. I rented with Public Storage before & it just got scary, dirty, unkept, etc. When I found Extra Space Storage just down the street, I was thrilled. After a tour of the facility & the units I was looking to rent, I knew this was my new place to store. The grounds are kept clean, clutter-free. The storage units are clean. There are no holes in the walls. No signs of any kind of infestation like there was at the other place. There are pull dollies on every elevator to help with transporting your stuff from your car to your unit. Every hallway is lighted for safety. Theres even music playing. Every time I come here, I dont feel scared or nervous because of what might lurk on the grounds or in the units.Overall, an ideal place for storing my things with peace of mind. Close by. Clean. Congenial staff. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a storage company!
Americas Tire
10101 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
Ive been a long-time customer of Americas Tire, previously going to the Chino Hills and then Costa Mesa location, so Im pretty bummed having to write this review for their Garden Grove location.About two months ago my 3rd gen 4-runner started having a weird rocking motion at slow speeds and then a heavy vibration at high speeds. I looked at forums and thought it might be a bad tire where the inner wires snapped causing a bump. I took it to Americas Tire Garden Grove location and asked them to look for bumps and to rebalance the tires on the machine while there. I went the next day to pick up the 4-runner and they said they rebalanced all the wheels/tires and checked for bumps but that everything looked good. They said the tread was down to about 3/32nds and recommended new tires. I have my own tire depth gauge and it read between 4/32nds to 5/32nds, so I figured but that I didnt need new tires yet. I spent another week trying to diagnose the weird jostling issue myself until I finally took it to my mechanic. He drove around with me and in 5-minutes concluded that it had to be a bump in a tire. We went back to the shop, put it up on a rack, and sure enough on the back tire was the bump. Therefore I must conclude that Americas Tire never checked my tires for bumps nor took them off to rebalance them. Additionally, when I called them to inform them of this the staff member I spoke with sounded annoyed that I was calling. When I asked what it showed in their system as to who worked on my 4-runner, he said that the person no longer worked there (which seems pretty convenient to me). He then quoted me a price of four new tires for $750 (before taxes and certs), which seemed pretty steep considering I usually pay about $125 per tire, so rather than provide a discount he likely just picked the most expensive tires he had in stock.Long store short, I dont plan to go back to the Garden Grove location, but for those that do go there, Id recommend you stand out front and look in the shop to make sure they actually rebalance your tires on the machine when they say theyre going to. At a minimum, you should require them to provide you with a printout showing the diagnostic results.
Garden Grove Park
9301 Westminster Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States
Great amount of dogs usually .alot of regulars for the most part i have had great experiences but there was an issue with a little 5 or 6 yr old girl that brought her mastiff pit mix puppy to the small dog section after being kicked out of the big dog section for causing fights! Doesnt take rocket science to assume he would have done the same in the small dog park! That puppy attacked at least three small dogs as i was leaving and when the girl was asked to get her dog she just STOMPED on the dragging leash to stop the puppy mid lunge...I dont understand how some adults could be careless enough to let a child roam around alone with an undisciplined dog. I guess people dont understand that they would be responsible to cover medical fees if their dog causes serious physical harm to another dog ??
The Home Depot
10801 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92843, United States
My husband ordered a shed for a project around Thanksgiving since there was a good time to shop for discount. The shed was diveried to the Home Depot store in Garden Grove. They offered to store the shed for us until we pick it up. We went there this morning and it was not there. The staff told us there were 2 sheds in their warehouse and 1 got stolen, then now ours was nowhere to find. They pushed us around with different staffs and told us to go home to wait for the managers call. Until now, after we wasted our time, still no apology from them. Then of the staff working in the office called us said they still couldnt find our shed and still dont know why it dissappeared. No offered solutions or anything. Then a staff named Oscar called us said that the only thing they could do is refund the money back after wasting our time for looking and shopping for a shed, and waiting, but still no apology . The staff Oscar was very rude and I would not recommend anyone to get his service. He blamed that he didnt know about the situation until he got there and did whatever the manager told him, he didnt even deal with us before. I think they need to train all their staffs about customer service, they are all needed coaching again. I would recommend to stay away from this store if you order any big dollar item and dont waste your time there.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim-Main Gate Area
12005 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States
The worst Homewood Suites I've ever stayed at honestly shouldn't be holding the Hilton flag. This hotel has clearly spent some money but only in the lobby. Upon first entering we felt very confident our stay would be great - plus who could argue the beautiful pictures on their website? Well, once you pass the front desk that's where the adventure begins. For starters there is only ONE elevator that will reach all 7 floors. There is another one that'll reach 1-6 but it's clear at the end of the hotel. So once you wait about 30 minutes *sarcasm* the old, metal box arrives and the door opens. You step in and start to see the neglect by management and maintenance. The poster inside is missing so it's just a empty frame, the elevator has about 25 lights burned out, and the sign illuminating the floor numbers is barely hanging on. We reached our 7th floor praying the experience would get better. We weren't surprised when we stepped off and you could see the wallpaper peeling, the smell or moisture and/or musky scent in the air. Oh and the missing lights again which made you feel like you were stepping into the Shining. Finally, we made it to our room. Upon entry we quickly realized the hotel has an amazing photographer because the rooms were not as clean and modern as they make you feel. To keep it simple, the room is old and nothing is modern or fresh. The TV's are old, bedding, towels, curtains are all old and worn out. Look around a little more and you'll realize the wallpaper (yes, wallpaper) is peeling in places, light switches don't work, phone doesn't work and it smells wet. As a Hilton you don't expect this - even with the oldest hotels. This was by far the worst Hilton (or even hotel) I've stayed in during my visit to Anaheim. The pros? There are a few. The mattress is comfortable, the water in the shower stays hot, the couch bed was comfortable. However, it's hard to enjoy the pros when you're worried about what you'll experience next. What really set me off about this hotel is the staff. Reading reviews it seems like others had a completely different experience with the staff and I'm happy that maybe we just had the worst of the staff during our stays. However, on day 2 we asked for a blanket for the couch bed. Only one thin one is provided. The desk said one would be brought up shortly. We never received the blanket that evening. So on day 3 before heading to Disneyland we placed our trash and used towels outside (as directed) and then stopped at the front desk to ask for the blanket again. The lady at the desk asked if we would approve them to go into the room and drop off the blanket. I said of course, I expected them to. She confirmed this with housekeeping to go in and drop off the blanket. We never even thought about reminding them about towels. We ended up leaving and coming back sorta late to the hotel. Went to our room and realized they never brought another blanket NOR replaced our towels. So it's 10pm and we have no towels. Since the phone didn't work I went back down to the desk and had to wait for about 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk. When the gentleman came out I stated I was frustrated that we have no towels or extra blanket that we requested twice now. He confirmed my room number which was written on a sheet at the desk and tried to blame “liability” and that housekeepers don't come into rooms when we're not there. I said, this is a hotel right? He said well we won't do it unless we have confirmation from you. I said I have them confirmation and heard the lady earlier today relay that message. He continued to try and make excuses for why the blanket wasn't delivered. Finally I requested the towels again and left to my room. We did receive our towels and blankets finally. This hotel acts like they don't know their industry - provide exceptional service. If you're too worried about liability for your housekeepers sounds like you need new management to change the team. Unfortunately, I'm running out of characters but I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere.
Los Alisos Estates
5772 Garden Grove Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
I lived in a unit for a year with my spouse. Spoiler alert, it was overall a terrible experience. We saw some negative reviews before moving in (that they hadn't deleted yet) regarding their “shady” practices in taking as much money as they could from you, and how they are cheating you with the utilities. Regretfully, we didn't listen. Please listen to this one. They will charge you astronomical amounts for your utilities! To the point it is comical. The first month will be really low, and they will continue to increase by hundreds. DO NOT be fooled by the solar panels, they are pocketing the money. While this is speculation, I think they tack on the payment for the solar panels too. If you ask for the bill from Edison, they will give you the run around. The leasing office staff will give you misinformation all the time. Do not trust them. Whether it is intentional or they are not trained properly… I don't know. Example: We asked the leasing office (multiple times multiple people) if they would tow our car in the fire lane if we left it for no longer than 15 minutes. They said there's a strict policy to knock on the door to notify you to move before they would call the tow truck. Well they towed my mother in laws car after being there less than 15 minutes. They never knocked, and the security guard Jose argued, and said that he didn't need to notify and any amount of time is means to tow.Example 2: before moving out, we were diligent about obtaining all the information needed for a smooth transition. After our inspection, we never received an itemized list of repairs. So we painted and cleaned every single inch (even stuff we did not do). Well they charged almost 900$ for cleaning and 1500$ for painting. No surprise, our property manager OWNS THE CLEANING COMPANY. After asking for photos of what was so expensive to fix (we thankfully took our own before moving out), they charged us for a bad spackling job that was there BEFORE we moved in. THANKFULLY we had a video to prove this, the first month we moved in. We also argued the cleaning charge because the unit was less than 1400SQF and we had photo video proof that it was spotless.Additionally, we talked to staff before moving out and were told the charges for utilities and rent on the portal did not need to be paid and were automatic (because obviously the lease was up). Well, that was a lie. They tacked on double the charges for utilities out of our security deposit (more than we had ever paid). After giving them the California civil code stating this was illegal, they spoke to their attorney, reformatted the utility charges (essentially making them “unpaid”) so its technically legal, and lied stating that we could've paid them at any time by check at the office. Idk if I explained this well. I have numerous more examples, but in short it will give you a headache living here. They will do anything to take money out of your pocket and lie to your face. For us, we are deliberating if we want to take this to small claims court, because I'm sure we would win.
