U-Haul Moving & Storage of Pasadena
552 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105, United States
We went to this U-Haul location this past week because were moving, which is weird on its own due to the current pandemic. LA has a requirement that people wear masks as a precaution to prevent spreading the virus. When we went inside to get moving supplies one employee was barely wearing his mask properly, which Im not thrilled about, but Im not going to complain seeing it was more or less on right. When he asked us what we needed we told him we had a corporate certificate to cover supplies and he directed us to another employee. This employee, unlike his colleague, was wearing his mask around his chin, so I politely asked him to put his mask on. He pulled it up a bit more and told me it was ok because were 6ft apart, but the tone of this statement was clearly: Go screw yourself. Even after explaining that I have asthma and other autoimmune disorders he ignored me and made the situation as awkward as possible. As he tried to figure out what we were trying to pay with and how to enter it in the system he made a comment about how Art Center, the art school down the street, would handle it, which again was clearly a jab at us. I get students might not be the easiest to deal with at times, but you are near to major colleges (Caltech is down the street) cut the attitude. And to be clear we arent student, and we are relocating because of work, who was paying for the move... not that that really makes a difference. Its bad enough you have the attitude to make low blow attacks to random customers, but to not care about spreading a virus to people at work, even after they asked because of their health issues... Even when your work clearly expects you to wear a mask and maintain social distance seeing the floors have stickers and tape all over them, and other protocols visibly put into place to protect both the workers and the customers. This experience was rather annoying, and now I have to further worry about my health because of this employees refusal to do something as simple as wearing a mask. I dont expect anything from the employee, its clear that he will never wear a mask, and I really hope that doesnt catch up with him, but I do expect the management of this location to do something.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Pasadena
3559 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Worst customer service experience ever.I had made a reservation for a U-Haul truck last week beginning of Tuesday, May 23rd. I was told by the U-Haul truck rental department that since it was a one-way trip, I could get a free months worth of U-Haul storage! I didnt hesitate to sign-up!I downloaded the app and reserved a storage unit at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Pasadena, since it would be close to where I needed to store my items. I reserved a 5x8x10 storage unit online and it was reserved on my account. Unfortunately the app does not allow you to update the reservations you have for storage because it requires an administrative team member to change it. I had to keep pushing the date, because I had reserved the storage unit ahead of time and I would call U-Hauls customer service team to constantly change the reserved date.I was planning to register the storage unit that was reserved in person when I got there with the truck.Come to find out, after driving for 4-hours from where I was moving from, and arriving on Saturday to the new place, then taking my stuff on Monday (5/29) to their storage unit. I go into the office where I meet Julie Lugman, and she tells me she had released the storage unit and gave it to someone else. This was after they have had the unit reserved up until the 28th and I was getting everything arranged for my move and I knew I would use it, but no one from her team or herself ever gave me a call back from her location to ask me if I still needed the unit, or if I would need an extension. Nothing. I find out when I arrive with my belongings at the storage facility and she tells me the unit has been released and there is no other unit available. All she could do was apologize and not help with anything else. I was literally left hanging, left to my own devices to find another storage facility. So I did.I walked out of her office and I went to Public Storage to get myself a unit from their company. Which was well worth it not having to deal with her incompetence or the companys lack of responsible employees.I should be compensated for the amount of the unit, I would have been given had I been given the storage unit which was about $162. If I was given this compensation back, I would be satisfied as a customer for the unnecessary trouble caused. But, oh well I guess well see if this gets any recompense. Im not holding my breath.***UPDATE***I had received a call from Ashley from the Pasadena U-Haul location on Colorado. They have apologized and compensated me with a gift card for the mishap that happened on (5/29).

The night before renting a 10 x 10 rental unit at the Public Storage branch located at 7920 Deering Ave in Canoga Park, CA I ran into a glitch using the online Public Storage unit booking software. Then the following morning I called the corporate division to discuss the glitch but my call was transferred to four different department associates and 3 of the associates understood the glitch but could not do anything resulting with my time being wasted. The 4th associate helped me as much as he could but could not proceed further due to his hands being tied by corporate policy so he suggested I speak with the Deering onsite manger. I drove to the Deering branch and spoke with the manger and her name is Lluri. I explained the glitch to Lluri and within minutes she acknowledged the glitch, understood the glitch, did not make any corporate robotic excuses regarding the glitch and then without hesitation she offered to show me two different 10 x 10 units and also offered to lower the monthly rental cost but the best part is she did not have to call the Public Storage corporate division to ask for approval. Its extremely rare I make time to write a review because Im very busy and also unfortunate the criteria of the Public Storage review software is Limited to a 5 Stars positive ranking criteria because the quality of Lluris professionalism ranks 10 of those Stars.

STORBOX Self Storage
2233 E Foothill Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Certainly the best storage rental experience Ive had working my way through a host of different providers over the years. Storbox has the best security Ive seen. Units are air conditioned and the facilities are exceptionally clean, including the restrooms. Customer service is a 10/10, thanks to Athena. Rates are competitive to others in the area and the promotions are great. Only minor hiccups would be they close early in the evenings and if youre towing a trailer it may be quite tight and a difficult turn-around depending on the building location.

My experience was not good.1-They damaged my seat and gaslighted meI had dropped my car off and went to get and rental I came back to get my stuff from the car. I saw the seat had been damaged between the time. I notified them and I was told it would be fixed. Then I call to make sure it would be taken car off and they Josue pretended not to know about it I followed up back and forth with him and finally got a call fro ArshakArshak told me he had not seen that damage in his 25 years of working there and it was I who damegaed it. I told him I had pictures of the car also a pre inspection report where they went over every damage including interior that was done by Josue and I had a copy for that. I was told that report was irrelevant. Nevertheless they fixed it but it does feel a little different.2- They damaged my bumper and told me it was not covered. The bumper was scrapped when they took it out even though they didn't finish the bumper they should have touched up the part that was damaged during disassembly. I understand if insurance doesn't cover it, but if the shop damages something they should finish it up.3- My rear view camera is blurry. My rear camera is extremely blurry they probably smudged it while putting it up4- There are micro scratches all over the car even the areas that were supposed to be fixed.5- Micro dents on the hood were not fixed. I was told to come in next week to get it finished and not wash my car. They filled them up.6- Mirrors were also not finished even though they were a part of the damage . Was told to come next week7- They also tried to get rid of me when I was pointing out the damages and stuff that needed reworkAll in all I'm unsatisfied by over 8 k repair and I would have loved a little bit more professionalism on the actual work that was done on the car. They didn't even start working on the car until Tesla approved their second supplement saying they are gonna do it all at once. The car was rushed and not given the care it was needed. They are really good talkers but I don't know about the quality of work

Extra Space Storage

Don't trust this storage facility. The onsite manager was nice, but company raised the rent to $380 per month. A $100 increase per month for an upstairs, indoor unit, at the back of the property was unacceptable. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I agreed to pay $280 per month and so it should have stayed at that rate for at least a few more months before increasing it a fraction of that amount.I didn't mind paying $280/ month to keep my snowboarding gear, camping gear, holiday decor, off season wardrobe & a couple pieces of small furniture (which I was deciding to sell or use in my new space). I moved out based on principle when the storage company opted to increase the rent +$100 per month (to $380/month). Their action shows that they don't value me as a customer. I rented the storage units for five months. The storage facility was clean. I would have kept the unit for convenience had the rate not increased so much so quickly. What an inconvenience and a waste of my time.___________________________________To add insult, Extra Space's reply to my post about to raising the rent +$100 in the first couple of months. They addressed it with template language, not addressing the ridiculous amount of the increase, nor the short amount of time in which the increase occurred. Instead, stated that the rental rate is not guaranteed for the life of my rental. Making it seem as if I had noted the renal increase of an insignificant percentage over a long period of time. Corporate office needs to have some accountability. Especially since the onsite staff is great - their hands are tied from negotiating with the corporate office. What a shame.

Enterprise Car Sales

So I finally decided it was time to buy a new car. But I knew I couldnt afford a brand new car. My option was to get a reliable used car that is relatively new. I figured that a great place to find a reliable used car would be a rental car service that sells cars because of how well they maintain and service their vehicles. Ive always had good experiences renting from Enterprise, and I get a pretty decent discount through my company. I basically felt a certain loyalty to the Enterprise brand. Since I needed to buy a car to drive in the Los Angeles area, I decided my best option would be a relatively new used Prius. My Google search led me to Enterprise Car Sales in Pasadena as they had a Prius close to what I was looking for listed online. I entered my information online, and was contacted by a sales rep named Lacy. I then spoke to Lacy on the phone and explained to her what I was looking for and my particular needs as a driver, etc. She was so friendly and helpful that I immediately had a good feeling. I made an appointment and Lacy kept in contact with me via text. It was her day off when I set my appointment, but she still followed through to make sure everything went smoothly. She directed me to her co-worker named Markell Deruso. When I showed up to the appointment, Markell was there to meet with me and I immediately liked his vibe and qualities: young, cool, smart, down-to-earth, relaxed, not at all pushy and I trustworthy. He took me out to look at the Prius and when I sat inside the vehicle, it just didnt feel like the right fit (I guess Im just not a Prius kinda guy). I had my heart set on a Prius, and didnt want to buy another Ford (which was my current car Id been driving since 2001). But Markell listened to what I was telling him in terms of what I was looking for, and he directed me to a 2015 Ford Fiesta. This was not the car I had in mind. Then I drove it, and discovered that Ford should not be passed over as an option. Markell sold me on the fuel efficiency of the vehicle, which he was smart to stress. But it was the sticker price that got me; it was much, much lower than the Prius. Instead of him trying to sell me on the more expensive car, he convinced me to buy a less expensive car because he knew it was the right fit for me. I find that very admirable. He didnt try and con me or convince me to go with a more expensive option. He simply wanted me to be happy with my purchase. The entire experience choosing the car and going through the paperwork with Markell and Sherwan his sales manager was painless and efficient and actually a fun experience. They helped me with the insurance, even trying to find me the cheapest rate possible by making phone calls and helped to find a junkyard for my current Ford (that had seen better days). Overall, the entire experience was better than I could have hoped for and I am so grateful that I found the exact right place and sales team to help me purchase my new (used) car. If youre looking to buy a used car, and you live in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend giving Markell, Lacy and Sherwan over at Enterprise of Pasadena a call.

Unicar Auto Body
1685 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91106, United States
I got into an accident and had substantial damage to my front bumper, hood, lights, windshield, and roof. I filed a claim with my insurance and decided to schedule an inspection with Unicar Auto Body. Ive never filed a claim with insurance or had to get my car fixed at an auto body shop, but Unicar made it extremely easy! They were easy to work with from the moment that I called to bring my car in. They let me bring it in anytime during working hours which I did. I had no idea that when I took it in I was going to hand my car over to begin repairs. Upon arrival, they called for a rental car pickup, which they worked through with my insurance, and assured me they would repair all damages. The process was extremely easy! I was in and out of there and picked up my rental car in no time. A week later my car was ready. I dropped of my rental car and got a ride back to the shop. I was worried on how it would turn out as Ive heard many horror stories of other auto body shops through friends and families. However, my car looked and was in amazing shape! All damages were fixed and the car was practically brand new. I did a very detailed inspection and couldnt even even tell that my car was previously hit. I couldnt thank Unicar enough for doing an amazing job. Extremely happy to have my car back in such a quick turnaround and amazing condition. Car was even washed and detailed which I greatly appreciated. I really appreciate Unicar for making the process extremely easy and in how kind they were through the entire process. Its good to have a body shop I can now always rely on going forward

Avoid these guys - Dont go there with any high end bikes especially mountain bikes for repair, they are clueless..They promised me two days turnaround on a frame replacement, it took them over two weeks and many phone calls, the replacement frame needed a new front derailleur and double ring crankset; they sold me the wrong crankset replacement part for $350 -- we had discussed the fact that I would be going from a triple ring to a double ring and lose by largest ring, once I eventually got my bike back after spending $650 with them in total, and tried to ride the bike in the mountain I realized it was very hard to climb, and thats when I realized they had sold me the wrong crankset and actually what I had received had the smallest ring removed and not the largest, after calling them they tried to blame me for picking that part, which I never picked but they recommended, but said they will replace it with a new crankset at 30٪ discount on part and no labor, I said fine since I had no choice, come to find out the part was more expensive than the parts being sold online actually even with their claim of 30% discount so that was a lie, also they had kept my old bike parts and claimed they didnt know how to contact me to return the old parts, but when I went in to get my bike back with the replacement crank they showed me all the information from the time I took the bike in the first time - so another lie about keeping my old parts -- overall unqualified mechanics when it comes to high end mountain bikes, rude service manager Raul said they dont care about online reviews -- so save yourself the disappointment and go to another bike shop -- there are others in Pasadena that know what they are doing actually ... I ended up wasting $350 and 5 weeks dealing with these unprofessional clowns..
