Budget Car Rental
6420 McNair Cir, Sacramento, CA 95837, United States
On February 20, 2019 I spent an hour and a half waiting in a line that stretched and blocked the next rental companies line. I asked how long some of the folks towards the front had been waiting, and they said better than an hour. I could not happen but to notice them running keys in as people were signing contracts. They had no additional cars to rent. People who had reservations were leaving and going to other counters to rent cars. My reservation was pre-paid, so I assumed my reservation would be met. as after an hour and a half in line, I finally got to the counter, only to find out my prepaid Escape, or like car per their ad, ended up getting me offered a mini van. Really? A mini van? I chose to wait what I thought would be a few minutes to see what might drive back into the lot. After an additional hour of additional waiting on a bench waiting for keys, The counter clerk looked over and asked if I was still waiting for keys. I replied, yep, Im still waiting. So when I did finally get my keys, I looked at the clock and noted how much of my hard earned vacation time had just got wasted by Budget. A total of 2 1/2 hours. Oh, and when I drove off the lot, just in time for late afternoon rush hour traffic. I had planned my time off to maximize time spent with family. Man the start at the rental agency was the worse. I would steer clear of Budget, as this was my second bad experience with Budget. The other time was at Denver Internationals Budget agency. I will not subject myself to a third round of waiting in line, and not having a car that was pre-paid for. Their business model is dysfunctional at best. I really enjoyed the part when one of the Counter people had had enough, and went into the back room and hid. My frustration now is being vented on Social media to warn other future customers what kind of nightmares may be waiting for them at the Budget counter. What a sad company. I would have given it 0 stars, but it would not let me post until I marked at least ...

Great people, very trustworthy. My partner and I were in a bind, our car broke down 500 miles from home and we needed a pickup truck to tow it back on very short notice, right before NYE nonetheless. Tyler was wonderfully helpful, and hooked us up with a great truck that easily got the job done. There was a bit of a billing issue at the end where we were going to be overcharged, but Tyler sorted that out no worries. We even ended up paying less than we were originally quoted. So impressed and grateful for the folks here - they helped us through a very stressful situation. 10/10, highly recommend.
Car Rental Sacramento Airport
6100 Airport Blvd #6100, Sacramento, CA 95837, United States
Its perfectly fine. Not great, not amazing, but acceptable. Mostly its the absence of direction. Walking out to catch the shuttle and being yelled at because I wasnt observing the unmarked, unmanaged mythical queue. No signage at the rental counter (Avis) directing me how to pick up a car, and then standing in line outside waiting on staff to dole out car keys. Im a regular business traveler so I can roll with this..glad Im not one of the leisure travelers that were clearly confused.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car
6327 Aviation Dr, Sacramento, CA 95837, United States
We reserved a Toyota Corolla or similar class online at the Sacramento Airport location, they ended up giving us a hybrid Hyundai IONIC, which feels smaller than the class we reserved. The car looks kind of banged up and has some scratches which they noted on the file, so ok thats fine. An hour into the rental, were on our way to Tahoe and once we get on the highway going highway speeds, we heard this thumping noise, and we immediately pull off the highway and into a parking lot. Turns out, the back left bumper was coming off. I call the nearest Enterprise and explain what happened, they tell me they cannot exchange cars, only the airport location can as thats where we rented from. So i get transferred over there and explain everything again, they make a note on our file and says we can come back to the airport to exchange it if we want to and I made sure they made a note that it was not our fault and that the bumper was probably half haphazardly patched up from the previous trips. My fiance also calls another Enterprise car service line and makes a note there to ensure that we would not be liable for the damages, they say no problem, we wont be charged additionally. At this point, were already late to our original plans, and driving through Sacramento traffic again to the airport to exchange cars doesnt seems worth it as we would miss our dinner reservations, so we taped up the car with painters paint (thank god we had it in our luggage) and proceeded on.All is good after that during our trip, then we return the car and explain to them what the painters tape was for and what had happened, they say they do see the notes on our file and that we should be good to go without getting charged additionally. Two days after we returned the car, I get an email from the Enterprise damage claims department asking for us to provide our car insurance or be billed for the car damages. We then call the damage claims department, who says they do not see any notes on their side and that they have no access to the notes made in the Sacramento airport branch. At this point, i am LIVID. What kind of process does Enterprise have that their damage claims department has no access to view our records under our reservation number? The guy from damage claims says he will do some research and call the airport branch, he calls back an hour later says he cannot reach anyone. So then I decide to call the airport branch, they were able to view my files and gave me a reference # to provide to the damage claims department (clearly the guy from damage claims didnt try very hard to reach someone). This entire process had been frustrating to say the least. They give us a banged up car which caused issues during our trip and made us miss our original plans, we used our own painters tape to tape up the car, make several too many phone calls and get transferred multiple times. The most hilarious part is that we had to provide proof/notes made by the Enterprise airport branch TO the Enterprise damage claims department ourselves. Isnt this their job?? Do they not speak to each other?? We called them back and now they are saying they are opening a dispute case, dragging this entire process out even longer even though we are at no fault that the car was banged up to begin with and we could not have seen or predicted that the bumper was going to fall off with the initial inspection with just our eyes.I previously had been a fan of Enterprise as Ive rented from them a couple of times before with no issues, but this experience has made a significant dent on my thoughts of Enterprise and their services. I will not be renting from them in the future given their terrible processes and systems.UPDATE: They are now telling us we are on the hook to pay $1,121, without providing any explanation of their “investigation”, this is truly absurd. I will now need to call back again and explain our situation once again and hope the branch location will communicate with the damage claims department that this rear bumper damage was not caused by us.

I'm an active platinum member with Enterprise and I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. I've relocated to Sacramento and have been a customer at this location for a year. I reserved a small economy vehicle for 2 days and used 500 points to cover 1 day and I was left with a balance of $46 + $200 hold =$246 should've been held on my card. The new manager “Hector Cibrian” charged my card twice and held $246 twice.= $492. I have serious concerns about this new team at this location. Last week, I returned a vehicle that I had rented for 5 weeks and when I went to finalize the bill $685~the rental was not in my name AND the dates I had the rental for were not correct! The assistant manager “Ethan Kristensen” held me up 45 minutes scrambling around and turning red faced trying to figure out what to do! And when he finally corrected the situation there weren't any vehicles left for me to rent that didn't need an oil change, he offered to clean up the vehicle I just returned (I had 5 weeks) that needed an oil change. So I left without a vehicle that day. Only to return 3 days later to a deal that proved to be even worse. I just wanted to upgrade my vehicle from a Chevy Spark to a comfortable size 4 - door vehicle and this situation turned into a complete mess...and I ended up in an SUV and my costs went up (changed substantially). I was railroaded into this SUV situation because the manager “Hector” move around so quickly I didn't have time to think and he will go on to the next customer or walk outside and come back in the middle of your conversations. He's an extremely agitated and inpatient person. Please Note: I have to note also that it's better for you to take whatever you get because even if there's no customers in the store the manager “Hector” will move so QUICK and DOUBLE CHARGE your credit card and NOT be clear or accommodating to you. So be prepared to get ran over!!! And by all means do not leave your credit card on the counter while your discussing your rental, it will get swiped very quickly without him going over your charges until after he's swiped! I'm so frustrated/stressed because I have another monthly rental I'm going to take out, I'm not sure if this location will have the vehicle in my class and if they don't am i going to be charged all these extra fees in order to get into the next class level?!..... this new management suck!!!!!!! ??
Enterprise Rent-A-Car

For the past decade, I rented cars from enterprise, including branches at the airport, and this location was by far the Worst branch I have ever worked with. They gave me a car that had No gas. The arrow bar was literally at the letter E.My first course of action after getting a rental car should Not be going to the gas station. The company policy is to return the car in the state you get it, which makes sense. But if a previous customer returned the vehicle with no gas, shouldnt the branch fill it with 1-2 gallons of gas to demonstrate some decent customer service? Furthermore, the car said it can go another 40 miles. So I used the restroom and was trying to get to the gas station. However, when I returned, the car would not move. When I contacted the branch, the manager picked up, and he was incredibly condescending and indifferent. They said the 40 mile notice is an “estimate” that should not have been trusted. So apparently, “40 miles” warning means that the car will not be drivable.Even when I was picking up the car, they were claiming to be in the lunch rush hour and said it would take an hr for me to pick up the car. Apparently, 5 people in the lobby is considered “rush.” Furthermore, a warning for this “lunch rush” would have been nice as well. If this “lunch rush” is so bad that someone 5-7th in line need to wait an hr to get a car After getting the paperwork processed, shouldn't the branch at least Try to find a way around it?Because of the lack of warning even after multiple phone calls, I had to miss an appointment that I waited weeks for. While I was at this location, waiting, there was Another customer complaining to the manager. She seemed very upset and the manager was indifferent. And apparently, this man has awards for customer service from enterprise.I encountered far better employees who were actually courteous compared to this man. This award thing was definitely rigged.I never had this kind of customer service with enterprise before, and strongly recommend people to go elsewhere.

I'd like to take a moment to recognize four outstanding employees within Enterprise. Two of them are out of the Antelope California office and the other two are located in your Las Vegas airport office. Their names are Jose Veronica and Brendan Gill (Antelope California branch) and Miranda Griego and Nouvie Johnson (Las Vegas airport branch). My family and I rented a vehicle from the Antelope location to head to Las Vegas for a soccer tournament at 4:00 AM. Before we left we noticed that the rear tail light and rear blinker was not operating correctly. We had to get on the road at 4:00 AM and did not have a chance to contact Enterprise and swap out the cars. At 8:30 AM (already on the road), I contacted the Antelope office and spoke with Jose. He advised that I could go to any enterprise and swap the vehicle out. We couldn't find a location on the way that had an a sedan available. Jose advised that we could get into a bigger veh and they would cover the gas. We waited to get in town. We attempted to see if the vehicle could be repaired at a local Pep Boys but the issue was bigger then they thought. At this point we attempted to get a different vehicle in Las Vegas. Jose called serval Enterprise locations for us but everything was rented out and stores were closing at 3:00. He then advised that the airport (15mins away) would for sure be able to assist us. I called the airport and spoke with Miranda Griego and she was so helpful, kind and professional. She advise that we call her first thing in the morning as they should have a few sedans in for us. We called her at 9:00 AM and she said, yes we have a few sedans and for us to come on down so they can take care of us. When we showed up we had the pleasure of working with Nouvie Johnson which was calm, cool, and professional. She promptly got us into a new sedan with 15mins. As we were finishing up with wonderful Nouvie, Jose called me to check-in to ensure we were able to obtain a new vehicle. I was so shocked and thankful that he was checking in on us! Now fast forward to us returning home and dropping off the rental vehicle back to the Antelope location. We were able to meet and thank Jose in person which felt great!!! Then Brendan Gill took over to ensure we were fairly compensated for our troubles. He discounted our rental fees and covered some of our gas. He recognized that we had to go out of our way in order to attempt to repair the vehicle and swap it out when the repair couldn't be preformed. I know that I have a long story here BUT these four individuals took their jobs extremely serious in providing my family and I with an ultimate customer service experience. For this I will continue to rent vehicles for my future travels through Enterprise. THANK YOU, Jose, Miranda, Nouvie and Brendan for a job well done and most importantly for caring about your customers!!! - Lucia Richardson
Sac Van Rental
9844 Business Park Dr SUITE A, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
Sac van rental is the best. This was the first time we ever rented from them. I have used so many other agencies before to rent passenger vans and it’s been a hassle. Sac van rental was very different. I called and talked to them before renting. They answered every question and were extremely helpful! The sprinter we rented was used for a church event and it was perfect. Sac van rental keeps their fleet very clean and well maintained. Definitely combing back again!
Penske Truck Rental
3009 Evergreen Ave, West Sacramento, CA 95691, United States
Weve been customers of Penskes for over a decade and weve never encountered a location where it is a pleasure to do business. The Service that our truck received at West Sacramento was above and beyond the call of duty. They not only fixed the two lights that needed to be fixed but performed a PM and battery test, discovering that the batteries were failing, replaced the batteries, washed the truck, and greased the 5th wheel when the only thing that was on the DVIR was the two bulbs that needed to be replaced. These people do an outstanding job, especially with the fact that this truck was from out of state and, as we've been told from other locations even within our own state, “It's not our problem.”Lynn in the Service Department deserves great praise for the supervision of her people and instilling in them the need to the extra mile. This has been one of the few times that getting basic service hasn't felt like pulling teeth or that we've interrupted someone's vacation. If other Penske locations had 1/100th the dedication to quality and service that the West Sacramento location has, Penske would be a totally different company.
Trailer Rental at U-Haul
3979 N Freeway Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95834, United States
I rented a truck and trailer w/ ramp to go pickup a golf cart. The 2 pickup trucks were already reserved, so I could not use them.I was provided with a box truck that was capable of pulling the trailer. It seemed a waste to have the trailer if the golf cart can fit inside the box truck. They dont have any ramps that are the width of the inside of the box truck. This truck had no ramp at all.The truck had a few problems.1. The truck has no cruise control. Trying to maintain 55 or 60 MPH was rather difficult.2. The A/C worked intermittently. 20 minutes of cold followed by 10 minutes of warm.3. While there are (2) 12Volt adapters to keep cell phones charged, neither worked. Not sure if both are on the same fuse. This would be a good reason to put each on their own fuse.
