U-Haul Moving & Storage of Santa Clara
2121 Laurelwood Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95054, United States
Good price but hard to manage.Ordered several uboxes to ship belongings, asked for Campell site but got assigned for this one. When arriving with a hired moving company, one of the uboxes onsite had the wrong container ID, so I had to go to front desk to correct this. After waiting for half an hour, the coordinater said the right container can be moved out for my loading, but it could be at random places on the field. The moving company cannot move furnitures to different ubox containers at hundred yards apart. This ended up in a debate. Then I had to search for and speak to the manager. The manager seems helpful and moved the container to the location close to other uboxes from the same order. Then a new issue came, we suddenly noticed the hitch was cutted almost into half which makes the locker very vulnerable (The last time we acccessed the same container the hitch was at the full length). So another conversation started with them but unfortunately have to leave it as it was since it was late aleady and there is no way to fix it without my presence.Overall, the ubox thing might work for shipping homestuff around, but there seems always having issues one after another which could surprise you. That reduces efficiency and creates chaos in certain extent. In my case, the moving company had to wait for the coordination with fully loaded truck, which cost 200 more usd out of my pocket.I took lots of pictures just in case getting surprised in new ways. But no idea if any new issues could come up. I keep the right for further debate if items get missing or damaged, or delivered to wrong place, etc.The price is cheap but maybe ubox could consider providing more reasonable service even with charging a bit more. Or next time probably other service provider which is more accessible could be a better option.

Penske Truck Rental
2380 Lafayette St, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
I have been a client of Penske for about 2.5 years now with 2 box trucks on a lease. We have had multiple issues working with Penske. Starting with the fact that nothing that was told to us as benefits of working with Penske and having a lease with them was true. We had very few situations that they were able to provide what they promised 95%+ of the time they couldnt back their promises or anything they have in writing. On top of it, we have had extremely high charges to our account month after month for miles we didnt do. They would add about 14,000 miles to the invoices and charge us for it on months when the truck didnt even do 800 miles. These are big charges and they werent the ones to fix it.We had to catch it and chase them for it each time. It took months to get the problem solved. In the meantime we were being charged ridiculous amounts non-stop. No compensation was provided. One of the new trucks they provided to us had a technical issue and we had to drop it off to them, at which point we decided to terminate the lease agreement and they agreed. Instead of terminating this on the agreed upon time they set the termination date weeks later. They charged us for the additional weeks we didnt even have the truck. We also have to pay insurance coverage for that period because they cant provide documents to show the stop of use as of the date that it was dropped off to them. Now that we agreed to just take the hit on everything they caused it was time for them to give us the deposit of $5,000 that we put down for the lease which they originally said will be returned to us upon termination of the lease agreement as long as no balance is due for the lease per truck.Guess what? now we need to fight for our deposit as well.I regret ever using Penske and would suggest to everyone trying to operate their business to find other alternatives. Penske was supposed to give us peace of mind, instead it is costing us way more than we every thought it will and there are absolutely no benefits that comes with it, in fact it is A LOT MORE WORK that you just added to your plate.Good luck.

West Coast Self-Storage Santa Clara
2490 Lafayette St, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
Earlier this month, I was in search of a storage unit to store items really quick. I called the Santa Clara location and an employee, Angela took my call. She asked various questions to help determine the size I would need. I said I would be down to take a look. I cant remember right now if I had mentioned over the ph that I had rented from this location in the past. Upon meeting both Angela and the manager, Omar in person, they were very pleasant and greeted me and my friend with smiles! Omar took me and my friend to look at some interior 1st floor units which would provide a convenient unload access for my movers to enter through the Martin Avenue gate on move in day. (Note: the gate on the Martin Ave side is a normally used as an exit gate. Omar advised that on my move-in day, I can make arrangements with the office to have the Martin Ave gate used as an entrance gate. )After the tour, I was very satisfied and went back to the office. Omar said as I was a repeat customer, he would offer a 3-month half off discount on the unit i selected. I presented Angela my personal info to enter into a contract to reserve a unit! She went over the particulars about renters insurance etc. Again, I have to say that Omar is a very courteous and knowledgeable professional. He explained my options and prices without coming across as pushy or persuasive. The access hours and security interms of accessing the elevators of this property are also top notch and convenient to customers. I am confident to recommend to any of my friends who may need to rent storage to go see/call Omar and/or Angela in Santa Clara! Thank you.

Avalon Transportation
312 Martin Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
I rented an older model car for a month with limited mileage allowed, and the maintenance light came on after a few weeks. I paid a little over $900, and I noticed the invoice or receipt isnt itemized, and the taxes seem excessive. They require too much personal information, such as your social security number, when it isnt necessary for insurance or renting a car. They leave your information viewable at the front desk—no protection of customers' private data. If you dont have insurance, you are rushed to buy a 6-month vague policy with State Farm. I left cell phone items by mistake in the car when I returned it, and it took them two days to respond to my email and tell me the items werent in the vehicle. I have evidence of one of the items being left in the car because I took photos when I dropped off the car. Either someone at their company took them, or they threw them away. I cant see anyone throwing a cell phone holder and charger away. I returned the car a day early because they were closed on the weekend, and they didnt refund me for the extra day. I would not rent from here again.

RPI Emergency Response Contractor Ryan Peacock Inc
1061 Richard Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
We engaged RPI Inc on a large scale restoration of our house after water damage for two reasons - they seemed to have an eye for quality and they could work at the same level of detail as the insurance company. From a work perspective, people have not turned up as expected and jobs did not get started as promised. And when the workers did turn up we got fed up with their cigarette butts and half eaten food being left all over the place. As time drifted on we started to do some of the work ourselves since we want to get back in the house. And even though we did these activities Ryan insists that he still gets paid for the work.We started to get requests for draws that included numerous items that had not been started. To this day we remain in dispute over this with Ryan insisting that we should pay for work that he has not started or has not finished. In short our experience has been a nightmare that has made the whole incident even worse than it already was.Steer clear and use the Insurance Company preferred vendor since that will at least get you some leverage. These people are cowboys.

KIMS AUTO BODY
1300 Norman Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95054, United States
TL;DR - Highly skilled and professional group who take extreme passion in what they do. Very knowledgeable and friendly.Kim's Auto body is the definition of quality and customer service!! If body shops could earn Michelin stars, Kim's auto body would receive them all!James and team are super professional and pride themselves on their craft. We don't get these traits too often anymore. James updated me throughout the entire process. Not once did I feel like I was left in the dark. He took care of my car A to Z. The American alphabet needs hundreds more characters to accurately reflect the work James and team put in. I'm super impressed. The shop looks like an exotic car dealership! I felt as if I was purchasing a Bugatti. Other body shops I been to are extremely dirty and sketchy looking. Honestly this adds to the overall experience. First impressions always matters regardless of what people say.I got burned by a “buddy”s shop and they refused to own up to it. Ended up ghosting me after too… and this was a “buddy”!! James was able to fix all of the previous issues when it wasn't even supposed to be his shops burden!Honestly do your valuable car and time a favor and book with James!! I'm never going to another shop again. My car looks better than when I bought it fresh from the dealer!!!Glad my cars back better than ever but most importantly glad that I made a new lifelong friend.

Fix Auto Santa Clara East
2578 Lafayette St, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
The worst car mechanic shop you will ever meet.- very UNPROFESSIONAL: my car had a collision and was assigned to this shop for repair. After the inspection for estimate, there is no any update. I called several times. One week after the inspection they said they haven't even submitted the inspection pictures to the insurance company at all. They promised to submit the photos finally. After that I called them several times to follow up. Each time they either never answers the phone or told me they haven't heard back from the insurance company. After another two weeks, I called them again and they said they haven't heard back from the insurance company and they will check with the insurance company. A few hours later the insurance company called me and said they do not wanna work on my car. And the insurance company told me they actually have approved the estimate about 10 days ago. So this shop has been not doing anything since day one but just kept lying to the customer. So DO NOT work with this shop as they will NEVER take care of your car. If you wanna take initiative to follow up, they will then just keep LYING to you and tell you there is no any update for weeks or months. So you waste lots of time waiting for them until you figure out they are not doing anything and just lie to you and have you wait forever.- very rude: the customer service is very very rude on the phone. They never give you any update and normally won't answer your phone.- big liar: lie to the customers from day one about your car repair status and progress. So DO NOT waste your time to send your car to them for repair. They will do nothing but lying to you and wasting your time and having you wait for months.

Caliber Collision
590 Martin Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States
Bad experiance, insurance sent my car here for inspection and even though the car frame was clearly crooked they stated it was only the front bumper and headlight. Yet, charged a lor for what they were going to fix. They took forever to inspect car and when I asked them if the frame was crooked they stated it only needed a bolt. When clearly the person who hit my car even moved it. When I called to refuse to get it fixed here with the insurance calling three way Caliber Collision stated they would charge $204 and two hours to put it back together even though they stated the damages where not that bad. And it wasent even completely assembled. They never called me to pick up my car I had to call and wait on the phone 30 minutes for Al to pick up the phone and tell me at 2:34pm that I could pick it up with a tow truck anytime after 3pm. He was rude when I asked to clarify if it would be ready at 3 so that I can get a tow truck and pick it up. First two pictures are from when they took it headlight was fine. Second is from when we picked it up mo headlight and apparently it was damaged. Would not recommend this place.

Enterprise Car Sales
4517 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95051, United States
We have been shopping for a newer used car (2014-2015) for a few months. Been to several lots and even our Credit Unions used car fair. We found several cars we liked, however the price and/or the mileage was higher than we wanted. I had heard from an Enterprise shuttle driver that they sold cars, and that the cars selected for sale were all low miles, mint condition and the prices were below blue book. The financing we wanted to use was through our Credit Union, who finances 100% on used cars low BB amount, so we decided to stop at the N 1st Street Enterprise sales lot since we happened to be in San Jose for the Credit Union sale anyways. We saw several cars that fit our needs, but our favorite (2015 300C) was not our favorite color combination (Black/Black). While we were test driving it, and then a beautiful 2015 fully loaded Impala, our sales guy Dominic searched other Enterprise Sales locations and found one with lower miles which was a silver/pearl color. He told us it was in Redwood City, and if we wanted to see it he would drive up there and bring it down while we had lunch. After lunch it was waiting for us, what a beautiful car! Under 20k miles, mint condition, and below BB. SOLD!!!We also worked with Daniel on the financing paperwork so that we could drive it home. He got the rates from TechCU for a temporary approval until we finalized paperwork with them. As I was signing on the dotted line, Dominic arranged for the car to be filled up and detailed. Smooth dealings... and we drove it home that afternoon. Our Credit Union financed 100%, we did have to come up with some cash ($3) for an extended warranty and tax/registration that brought the total price over the 100% mark. I 100% will purchase my next car from Enterprise. What a great experience, no haggle needed. We did our research and the price of this car was about $8,000 lower than the used car lots.A shout out to TechCU credit union also. I had an old checking account with about $300 balance, and they financed this car at 2.4%. Hard to find a better deal than that on a used car. Unless you let their staff find a car for you, they finance at 1.99%.Anyway! I am a very happy camper!
